"I'm sure that the others are fine, they seemed to be in relatively safe places. As for my mother well..." The brightly colored female's voice trailed off and she looked puzzled unsure of how exactly to explain her mother to another. Her mother was just so...well odd. "She isn't exactly...what you would call normal." She stated finally.

"Oh? How so?" Her head tilted out of curiousity, ears coming forward. She'd known many wolves and while all had their own little quirks, simply being 'odd' overall...well, that was new.
"If you don't mind my asking of course."

"She...isn't like other wolves...she moves like a ...ferret or weasel." She paused having a difficult time finding the right way and words to describe her mother. " My mother...speaks in riddles, or in a way that's cryptic, hard to understand. She....she...she.." She let out a rather frustrated sigh having lost everything she was going to say to the tip of her tongue.

"I've known those who speak in riddles before. But never one who could move like a...a weasel? Never heard of a weasel either." Kainda shrugged, unsure what else to say now her curiousity had been supplied with information to ponder. And what on earth was a ferret too...

The female bit down lightly on her bottom lip. "I've only seen one and the are difficult to describe." She let out a rather frustrated sigh. She then shook her head. "Would you care to tell me a little about your family?"

"Well...I was only very close to my mother. Very practical wolf, kind...raised many pups in her time, my old mum." She smiled, remembering how she'd been fussed over and barked at for not finishing all of her meat. Stumbling along behind her mother on over-long legs as a pup. It'd been a good childhood thanks to that old wolf. Even if she had dragged her aside more often than Kainda had liked when there wa playing to be done to teach her al about the Dawnwalk Clan - but she appriciated her heritage now she was older. She loved it.
"Won't ever see her again I imagine but she raised me well and I intend to do her proud."

"She sounds like a nice and caring wolf. Much different from my own mother, I am her only child." Lejali the other in her same thoughtful tone as before. It was rather nice to hear about other's families, it wasn't something she really had herself, not that it bothered her, so it was nice to hear about real families, or what sounded like a real family to her. "I am sure that you will make your mother proud."

"I'm sure your mother's proud of you too, sister-wolf." Kainda nodded, politely but truthfully. The colourful female seemed like an alright sort of girl to her, so surely her mother was proud, even if she was odd herself.

"Thank you." Lejali stated with a bow of her head. She took a step backward before tilting her head to to the sky and closing her eyes. Her ears flickered ever so slightly. She then lowered her head and opened her eyes. "It's been nice speaking with you but I feel it's time for me to start moving again, I hope that isn't a problem."

"Not at all. Farewell, Lejali." Now, to find a good den for the night and maybe a lion to ask after that lion prince of hers. Kainda meant to do her old mam proud. She really did.
