Chu was quite speechless for a moment. It was unlike Mo to be so bold but she wasn't about to argue. She thrashed weakly in his hold on her. The water began to splash over her with their movements, but she paid them no mind. The stray droplet that manded on her face was a bit of an annoyance though.

"Oh no! Help me!" she called to no one. "What would I do in a luxurious yet gothic abode all by my lonesome with none other than you nasty brute. I would so detest being with no others." The smile that didn't stray from her face was a tell tale sign that her insult held no sting in it.

"Why, fair damsel, you speaketh as if I have no morals of mine own. I shall let thee be the dainty centerpiece of mine livings and shall showcase thee at every major event by my side." He said as if he believed all that stuff and believed that she would desire such. Then, like a dirty old man, he pressed his muzzle against her cheek and made noises to sound like he was kissing her passionately all over her cheek. It was a little extreme for one of Mo's character but he wasn't exactly thinking too much, was he?

The back of his mind was done registering surprise and was now working on the mud shifting between his toes. But what did he care?

Chuguu's eyes were wide at the sounds coming form the usually very reserved Moyenda. Seeing as it was only in jest almost disappointed her. She certainly wouldn't mind a passionate kiss or two. Maybe some day she'd get her wish.

Trying her hardest to stay in character of the distressed damsle, Chu pushed on his chest with her paws. She quickly squshed the need to show her displeasure that was caused by mud and silt that was now making it's way deeper into her fur. "SIR! You boast about morals and then display your have on such thing. What is a lioness to think?"

"Why only the best of me of course, fair damsel!" but Mo could hold in the laughter no longer and fell down beside her into the water, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably with laughter. It was the best time he had had in a long time, especially since he was able to step out of his self-made restraints. Ahhhh~! It was priceless, the scene as it had unfolded, definitely one to look back on.

And then he caught himself inbetween a yawn and stopped himself. It, however, was the least of his worries. "Hic~!" He had the hiccups.

Mo's laughter was infectious and Chu quickly lost herself to it as well. In her mirth she very nearly forgot the water that surrounded her and got a small gush in her mouth as she turned toward Mo when her fell beside her.

"Oh I expect the best from you always, just as I do everyone." she said after clearing her mouth of the murky water adn laying her chin on his shoulder. Chu was about to comment about the yawn her had muffled when her head jolted with the shake of his hiccup. She tried her hardest but another giggle escaped her as she stared, amused, at the lion beside her.

Mo glared at her teasingly until his face contorted with another hiccup. He looked mildly embarrassed about it too. "It's not -hic- funny," he said. But he gave into the laughter, a laughter interrupted by hiccups every now and then, that is. He had barely enough sense to pick himself up and avoid drowning. Mo quickly bent over and licked her on the cheek.

Pretending that nothing just happened, he trotted in the high grass near the waterhole, shook the water off of him, and then trotted a little more, seeming almost like a restless thoroughbred. "Let's get something to eat," he said, a glitter in his eye.

The more he tried to speak the more funny the situation was. As the laughter subsided she was a bit surprised at the affection Mo was showing. It was something she didn't expect from him but was glad of. It got rather tiring to be the one the to make the first move.

She watched him pad out of the water before she turned to a deeper place in the water to hopefully rinse out some of the mud that was now in the fur on her back. Though it helped, her fur was a far cry from clean. That was something that no lion could achieve alone.

At the thought of food her stomach gave a small lurch that told her that it would be a good idea to go along with Mo's suggestion. She quickly lunged out of the water after him flicking water about with the happy flicks of her tail. "And what is on the menu today my good lion?"

Mo nodded in her direction, as if he were a rather confident, slightly cocky lion. "Let's give it the 'once-over'," he said, sticking his nose in the air and taking a whiff. "Well, we've got wet lioness... wet lioness... did I mention this was like prime rib version?" He grinned but he was starting to freak himself out with these jokes. Where were they coming from? He cleared his voice, wishing he had only thought it, not spoke it.

"Uhum! Anyway~" he continued, feeling rather embarrassed about himself. Then a scent reached his nose. He couldn't quite detect what it was but it made his stomach activate so it would have to be good enough. "Oh, here we go~! Com'mon." He said and took off.

Chu was shocked a bit by his comment. Her mind thought it automatically as a bit of an insult before deciding to think if it the way he more than likely ment it. She almost missed his beconning comment before he ran off. Chu quickly followed after realizing her mishap. After taking a whiff of the air she could guess at what he may be taking her to chase but she was content to allow him to test his newly learned skills.

It felt odd to be the one following in the hunt after so long of be the lone huntress or the leader of it. She felt the need to over take Mo in the chase and take charge of the situation. she quickly quenched that desire to be replaced by the hope that he would succeed without her interferance as more than backup.

Mo thought as he rushed. He felt like he was being so dramatic. It was so odd, the experience so new that everything he did without thinking made him feel so embarrassed. Some of the things he had said alarmed him. But not being alone was so lovely, so wonderful and the choice he had been given - well, the lioness he had met, to be more precise - was just as wonderful that how could he not be so happy as to make a couple slips of the tongue? By filtering your thoughts came the automatic response.

He sighed to himself and slowed almost completely to a halt as he came close. He spotted it: a warthog? Yea, ok, it was larger than the normal warthog, meaning more meat. But to fight it? He wasn't that crazy. Mo waited there in contemplation for Chu to arrive.

Chu could see their intended prey before stopping beside Mo. As warthogs went this one was more than likely a nastier one than the run of-the-mill hogs that she had seen and even chased about the savanah before.

It wouldn't be impossible for them to take it down but it was possible for an injry in the process. Their tusks were definatly not only for show. She had seen others gouged by them before. She'd leave the decision up to the rookie since she would be there to warm him if the chase got a bit too dangerous.

Chu looked over her sholder as she sat beside Mo with a questioning look. One not unlike a friendly teacher waiting for the student to answer their own question. "Well, what do you think?" she asked trying hard to keep anything out of her voice that might sway his decision.

"Well..." Mo furrowed his brow. "Um... I mean, I'm sure we could take it buuuuttt, um... I don't think we should." He looked right at its tusks. Eh! Unpleasant thoughts played in his mind. OUT~! He thought fiercely at them.

"We can't be that far away from something else, surely." he stated but not without a small hint of doubt. "That's what I get for running off without thinking," he mumbled.

Good good, Chu thought to herself. I don't think I would have enjoyed the fight that may have ensued with this one. Just too much work, to be that cautious, for too little reward.

She nodded as they watched the warthog for a moment more. "If that's what you think is best then. Lead the way to lunch my good lion."

Chu sat there gazing at him a moment more before slipping into teacher mode, if only for a moment. "Mo, even the best of the hunters can't tell size by a far off smell. Words to live by as a procaution and to lighten the spirits when you seem to have made an obvious mistake."

She grinned at him, slidding easily back into friendly hunting companion as if she had said nothing at all.

It was making him just a little bit nervous, the feeling of being relied on like this after making a mistake. He couldn't exactly detect something else but warthogs were never found in the open without others nearby. And those other need not be warthogs because it wasn't so much that they needed company but that if they found something worth-while this far from the waterhole then other creatures did to. ...or so he had noticed. It was time to put that to the test ...and hope he didn't fail.

He noticed a fat line in the grass. Well what would have looked like a fat line from an aerial view. It was made by the grass being tramped by many hooves. Hoping they weren't old, he adapted them as guidelines and followed them. Maybe they would find something to eat with him at the helm ...and maybe they wouldn't do so well. Regardless, it certainly was a beautiful dream

...a beautiful dream that had become a reality.
