"I suppose it would be hard to take away a cub from their friends and family," she agreed thoughtfully, thinking back to her home in the Jungle and her friends there- specifically thinking of Hayate. "If I wasn't so keen on seeing the lands here for myself or to see my family, I wouldn't have wanted to leave the Jungle. I do miss my friends, but my family is here."
Janja smiled when Kubwa spoke of his son and how smart he was. She always valued knowledge, part of why she was so inquisitive herself. It didn't sound so bad when he spoke of it like that, though part of her knew she was only hearing part of the story.
"You sound like a very lucky father," she commented, "And like your son is very lucky to have you."

He was still pacing as he thought and spoke and decided, that he did want Janja to meet Wahabu. He wasn't sure why, he was no seer or matchmaker, or anything else of the sort. But, them meeting felt right to him, and he could not help but continuously bring him up.
"Thank you, sometimes it's nice to hear that I am dong a good job, even if my mother doesn't say so," he paused, "this may seem quite silly, but I think you should meet Wahabu, he lives...around here somewhere. He may know of your family, his family has lived here longer than mine."

Janja gave a small, sad smile when Kubwa mentioned how his mother didn't say he was doing such a good job with his son. That would certainly make things harder for someone like him, and for his son. She offered only an encouraging smile before Kubwa suddenly decided he thought she should meet Wahabu, and told her so.
"Wahabu?" she repeated, "Whereabouts would he be?"
It'd be worth investigating if Kubwa was so certain of it, and now she was a little more keen on the idea of finding her family for herself. Or- it'd be good to know where to find them if mom needed help, or if Janja wanted to continue avoiding them.

"Well, when he left last time he headed off in that direction," he stopped his pacing and pointed off to the north. Kubwa recalled when he met Mtima and had told Wahabu about it...he was ashamed of acting the way he did that time. Being so angry at his best friend wasn' a good thing, and his friend storming off as even worse. He hoped that Wahabu would not be still brooding over that night.
"I'll have to return home soon to make sure Tete isn't getting in trouble, he likes getting dirty," he chuckled trying to lighten his suddenly heavy thoughts.

"That way?" she murmured and turned off to look where Kubwa had pointed, then glanced around them to see which way it was with respect to the distant Pride Rock and other landmarks so that she would know which way to go. Perhaps she would go as soon as she left here..
"Ah, that can be fun sometimes," Janja said with a laugh, looking back at Kubwa, "Harder to enjoy yourself if you have to worry about staying clean all the time. Though it's easy to get out of hand.." She would give him that one, cubs had a way of getting carried away with themselves, she knew that much just from her own experience in the Jungle as a cub.

"Don't I know it! And yes, in that direction," he did his mother's head bob happily. The pale lion was about to resume his pacing but he decided that it would be best if he went home, he wasn't worried about Tete..but he was worried about him being exposed to an angry Aadil for too long.
"I think I may need to go along on my way, if you do see Wahabu, tell him that Kubwa is home, safe and has a son now."

Janja smiled at Kubwa, feeling almost sorry for him- having to worry about a son certainly would make things harder. Of course, now she had something of her own to do! She took note of the message Kubwa had for Wahabu.
"I'll be sure to tell him if I see him," she said brightly, "I think I'll go take a look for him now, I have time." Janja beamed at him, and turned off towards her own current little home- not bothering to explain why she chose a different direction.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Kubwa," Janja said politely.
