Embamba's ears twitched towards her daughters words, and she heard them.. but her focus was on the male. None of them even saw her point, apparently, and so she waited for them to calm before saying patiently until Ata said something that finally was closer to what Embamba was worried about. "Angusho, you did not answer my question. In fact, my question doesn't concern age at all."
Her eyes found Raza's then as she said, rather pointedly, "Though the fact IS that while he isn't old enough to be your grandfather, he IS old enough to be your father." Embamba shifted her attention back to Angusho. "In fact, he was supposed to be an uncle to you. A father figure if, Gods protect us, something had happened to Ndege. A protector. What I am asking you, Angusho, is WHEN did my DAUGHTER become an ADULT to you?"
She stood, then, temper flaring. As much as she wanted to be happy about this, the disgust of the situation was worse. "How EXACTLY does one go from seeing a cub as a cub to seeing them as in a sexual light? Now, its obvious that its concentual in this specific situation, but how much of that is because Raza wasn't allowed near other males? Which, of course, is our own fault. Who initiated this? And how on EARTH did you assume it was okay for you to court my daughter without coming to me about it?"
The fury practically dripped from Embamba's form and she shook, visibly, with the force it was taking to restrain herself. "I want to be happy for you, I want to see my grandchildren, but I simply can't believe that you two would have the audacity to sneak around behind our backs about something so... so..."
Her gaze fell quite pointedly on Angusho as she let the last word drip out, "Perverse."
Embamba fell silent for a long moment, shaking her head. She tried to deny the weakness creeping up her spine, for she wanted to be strong about this. "This is beyond betrayal, Angusho. She was a child."

Angusho was rather taken aback by the sudden outburst from Embamba. He had expected disapproval, disappointment, but not this. Not from her. His temper flared for a moment before he managed to calm down, leaving a rather odd silence while he wrestled between the urge to defend his love for Raza with all his might, and knowing that this was not an unreasonable argument.
"I was, and always will be, a protector for the family. Your daughter became an adult when she felt ready, It was not I that approached her." He could not keep the obvious irritation from his voice, but he managed to suppress most of the outright rage that he was longing to shout at her.
"With all due respect, lady Embamba, you jump to far too many conclusions. This was not a one night stand, not a sudden burst of passion that resulted in unwanted children. It is quite the contrary, we both DESIRED these cubs, wanted children of our own to care for and nurture. We did not sleep together immediately, we are not so rash as you think." He sighed, not knowing how to answer her next question. "I agree with you on that point, however. We had no right to keep this from you, and I apologize."
"You're right, she WAS a child, but no longer. She has grown into the most beautiful and kind lioness I have ever met, and we love each other." With that, Angusho fell silent, fearing that he would burst out yelling if he continued without a chance to calm down first.

Barazahi hadn't honestly expected Ata to take up her cause. Sure, she wanted it, and had hoped for it, but she didn't think Ata'd actually do it, help her cause. She was overcome with joy that she wasn't the only one happy about having cubs.
Raza picked up on the track her mother was going down. She laid her ears flat on her head, awaiting the punishment like a cub. To her amazement, though, the anger wasn't directed at her, but at Angu. That felt even worse. She wished it had been at her. She winced everytime her mother's voice got louder. She began, even as Embamba continued, to worry about her mother's health. Certainly this would cause some sickness, which would plummet Raza deeper into despair.
She wanted to step in, to take the blame, but there wasn't an opportunity. She just whispered inaudiably, "Mother, sit down." She knew it was too quiet to be heard by anyone, even those next to her, but her mother getting physically hurt from the stress was the most easy pain to prevent. Besides, she daren't have said it louder for fear of invoking Embamba's wrath.
She couldn't find any words, she just looked at a particular blade of grass, listening to the voices around her, not daring to look up anymore. A cub kicked in her tummy.

She was frustrated. Oh yes. N oanswer! Well, thatwas a bit better, though. She didn't want to have to pretend she wouldn't get upset if she were scolded.
But for a moment, her gaze flickered to her sister, who seemed to be gazing not at their mother, or Angusho, or herself, but at the ground. Like she was determined not to look at anyone. She frowned, prodding her sisters shoulder with her nose, just like when they where kids. This was her way of asking what was wrong, but, of course, she didn't expect that to be answered right now.
"Raza.. do you want to go lie down? " She asked in a soft, low voice, hopefully only for hersister to hear, as Angusho and Embamba seemed rather busy with their argument.

Embamba heard Baharazi's suggestion (order, rather) but didn't heed it. Instead, her attention remained focused on the male who had knocked up her baby girl.
There was a definate answer there this time, and a good one at that. She found herself relaxing slowly. There was still hurt there--hurt that her daughter had hidden this from her for so long. She'd always thought her children could come to her with anything, and yet something so large as this...
Had taken place right under her own nose, with her child too... scared? to tell her. Yes, the rage was subsiding replaced by a sadness the likes of which she hadn't felt in a long time. The task on hand was more important, however, than any bruised feelings she may have had. "Angusho," She paused, her voice and stance far less angry than they had been before, but still shaking from something entirely different. "... Whether I approve or not, you've made good your points. I trust you'll care for this family as well as you did...."
She trailed off on that, not intending for it to sound harsh but realizing that it probably did. What does one say to a man who has made your family his own? At this time, Embamba didn't know, but she shook her head and sank back down to the ground without the slightest hint of the grace she'd always taken care to show. Reaching up, one paw placed itself on Raza's shoulder, intending to draw the girl down to her but too weak to enforce it if she chose to pull away. In an attempt to both sooth her and show that she meant no harm, Embamba raise her maw to lick Raza's neck gently. "How long has it been since they first came, my love?"

All of Angu's anger was washed away with one word, 'trust'. He had been trusted to protect the small group when they first set out, trusted to bring them home safely. He knew that he must have betrayed that trust in doing something like this, and was filled with sadness at the thought. And yet, she still trusted him, at least a bit. It was good to know that something as sacred as trust had endured through all of this, not to be lost because of the mistake of not informing Raza's parents.
"Thank you, Lady Embamba." He said softly, bowing his head respectfully, flinching slightly as she lay on the ground, appearing quite weary and weakened. In his anger, he had nearly forgotten how fragile she was, but though her movements seemed a bit strained, they were determined, as always, and she didn't appear to want his help.
Still, the guilt that he could have caused harm to her with this decision weighed heavily on his conscience, and he had to make sure that nothing happened to her. He silently sat upon the ground, watching the scene before him, still trying to shake off the feeling that he may have harmed Embamba in the argument.

Raza came down carefully. She felt horrible, physically and emotionally. Not to mention she just realized how horrible she probably looked. Her fur, she could feel, was going every-which-way, and was unnaturally flat. To make matters worse, her stomach had to be huge. It was tough for her to tell from her vantage point, but it wasn't getting any smaller for a while.
"A couple of weeks," She answered weakly. "They've only just begin to show, but it's like I've got the appetite of three or four full-grown lions," she said with a quick smile. It vanished quickly, though. Raza was still shaken from the situation that had just happened before her eyes. It was her fault, she had caused it. She had started the relationship with Angu, though, he brought her great joy...
She had little more to say, let alone little energy left. She was tired. She was hungry, and she wasn't sure this battle was over. What of her father, he didn't know yet. And her mother had a sadness about her that hurt her. She should've told her. Just like she should've told her about leaving camp to explore surrounding lands. Just like her encounters with rogues. She was slowly learning that when you hide something, it wasn't a matter of if someone would find out, it was when.
"I'm hungry," She said honestly, looking up at everyone, giving them a hint.

Hungry. Hungry! Raza was hungry! As mean as this may seem, Ata found this extremely amusing. After all that had jsut happened, Barazahi wanted to eat.
"On it. " Ata grinned, shooting a small, meek smile at her family. She had a feeling that, right now, with Chuguu not being around, this was going to be her problem. Her mother was too week to hunt, Angushowas lousy, and Raza was.. Well, fat. Self-explanatory.
So the tan lioness trotted off, ready to go catch something for her sibling.
(( Done for Ata, or I can just throw her back in after a few rounds <3 ))

Embamba's head raised, about to say something when Ata took the intitative to go tearing off in search of food. The lioness's maw curved into a simple smile; Ata was such a good girl. The lioness tried to let her feelings stay light, to sink into the joy of the situation.. but her heart was still mourning the loss of her daughters innocence, no matter that it had to come at some time.
So, rather than snap or bark or bite at the two of them, the female continued to clean her daughter instead, showing her as much love and warmth as she could. "Well.. .. there may not be much time left to go, now. I noticed you eating more; that's good, you're taking very good care of them."
The words lacked in good conversational skills, but it was as much as Embamba could handle right now. Above all, she didn't wish to lose her family to something such as this... and if it grew a little more, well... Glancing at Angusho, Emamba seemed to relax a little more. Perhaps it wasn't all that bad. Resloving this for herself, the lioness continued the light chat with her daughter, content to speak of nothing yet anything at all.
((post endings or... leave it here maybe? seems about right to me))
