Tenaku Shmoo-Chan Tenaku I personally don't like it when people in gay relationships identify themselves as either the girl or guy in the relationship. Well thats different. Usually most guys do that depending on the sex. Like yaoi theres the Uke the femmy one and the Seme the more manly one. Sometimes guys just do it because it makes them feel better knowing their role. ah i c, but still both people are the same gender. I think most of the time that happens when one feels definetly more dominating than the other one...the whole "you're MY b*tch!" thing...

I think you might have to adopt a cool nickname for "sex" like...oh, I don't know..."boink boink" or something like that...i get the feeling it could get rather confusing in here... sweatdrop

One phrase i would love to see erased from the vocabulary of the entire human race: f*****t. I hate this word with a deep passion. scream damn i already at tears about this, jsut yeah, please erase this word.

Shmoo-Chan What really gets to me about is is that it IS a 'phrase'. I don't think there should be a need for a phrase. I agree, there should be no need for the phrase. Unfortunately, in reality, there is need for secrecy. If a child is in danger of being beaten to death by homophobic parents if he or she comes out, then yes, I fully advocate using codes, phrases, and euphemisms. There's just to much intolerance for everything to be as clear-cut as we'd like.

Well, I disagree with the phrase "coming out of the closet" being negative. I personally wouldn't use it, because it's so cliche, but meh. "That's so gay" pisses me off though. My friends and I like to make fun of it, like "that's so straight!" "that's so caucasian!" "that's so inuit!" *cough* Yes, we're cool. Whenever somebody uses that term, I like to reply "yes, that inatimate object/situation definitly preffers unatimate objects/situations of the same gender." That throws people off sometimes. I also hate the "that's retarded" phrase. Retarded is NOT a synonym for stupid. It means either mentally handicaped, as in someone with autism is retarded (though I wouldn't use that term in speaking with someone with it because of the terms general derogatory aura because of the slang), or slow, as in rain retarded the construction of the bridge. Blech.
Concerning the gender roles in a same-sex relationship - I dislike that as well. In the beginning of my relationship with Molly, sometimes I'd say she was the guy and I'm the girl. That made her mad, and placed restrictions on both of us. Now that we've become far more comfortable with each other, we've both become "the guy" in some aspects and both "the girl" in some aspects. It's about respect, and not restricting yourself to act like a stereotype.

Cause I've noticed with my girl that she is dominate with some things like emotional things, and I... well I want to provide for her. sweatdrop

Quote: Three) Gender roles. No one person in a same sex relationship should have to be the 'male' or the 'female'. Alot of what I see is that people go, 'Oh well witch one is the female?' Or 'Oh well witch one is the male?'. When really, no one needs to define what role they are. Depened on the couple they might like to have them, or not. Its based on them. But what alot of couples do is that they blance it. Not one has to be the male or the female. They each are a bit of each one. Again with Gender roles, its just another part of lables that I'm 100% against. Yup, I agree totally.
