Solas stared at her phone, and then the house in front of her. She then went back to her phone, and then to the mailbox. Yes. It was the correct address that Encke---Ignacio---had sent her. She was in the right place...

She just didn't expect Encke---Ignacio---to live in such a gorgeous place. A large gorgeous place. Apparently it was his boyfriend's family's house? Then again, outside of him being Encke, and them being semi-hostile to each other up until now, she didn't know that much about him. Aside from the fact he was a good guy. Not that she'd say that to his face again. Life was full of surprises.

Like the fact she was coming over to hang out.

One thing she knew she needed to do after her purification was to continue to forge these bonds with her friends. One reason people had a hard time adjusting to huge life changes was because they didn't form solid connections. They didn't attach themselves to anything, so they weren't invested. It was detrimental to the healing process, and she was all about trying her best.

It was a good thing it was Encke, and she knew where his loyalties were, or else she would have said no to going over to someone's house. Solas slipped her phone into her coat pocket, glanced over her shoulder, and then made her approach to the front door. She came to a stop before it, and then rung the door bell.

"So, Solas should be here shortly..."

Stillwaterite. Sedna. Solas. At least they all started with S.

Ignacio shot a smile over to his Arra as he arranged a few snacks on the island once more, partially just wanting to make sure he was making a decent impression. (That and, well, they always seemed to have way too many leftovers anyway.) Even to this day, he didn't know a whole lot of the actual personal civilian lives of a lot of the people he befriended as a senshi. He certainly knew some people as a civilian, but admittedly, that was partially of his own doing. After all, couldn't let anyone know who he was. Couldn't let those sides of his life leak into each other. What would happen?

Richard would become a knight anyway, that was what.

The doorbell ring caught his attention, and Ignacio laughed. Well. Guess he was right about shortly...

"Remember, she's recently purified," advised Ignacio, as he moved past his Arra towards the door. "Any questions about recent life history or family or what have you are probably a bad idea." A beat. "But I'm sure she'll have plenty to talk about anyway."

Ignacio was admittedly glad Richard was home for this, too. He knew Richard was probably getting a little frustrated with Ignacio's endless hovering when he was Basiluzzo, but Ignacio couldn't help it. In comparison to him, Basiluzzo was a baby in more than one sense. He was still worried Basiluzzo was going to die somehow. He was still worried some Negaverse agent or corrupted senshi would opt to shove their hand into Basiluzzo's chest and--

"Solas!" exclaimed Ignacio, practically throwing the door open. "Come in, come in!"

Richard was also arranging things on the island in the kitchen, humming to himself as he set out napkins and some plastic cups. The plastic cups had been his idea, to keep their guest from having to a) have that awkward 'where are your glasses' moment or b) carry around the same glass the whole time, in case they were the type to worry about creating dishes. A small stack of plastic cups would solve both problems nicely. There was also a permanent marker nearby, for the purposes of name-writing.

This was also 'just in case'.

When the doorbell rang, Richard was reaching into the pantry, looking on the top shelf for the rest of the napkins he knew were in there somewhere. Not that he thought they'd go through the whole amount out, but it was probably the nice thing to do to refill the holder and not leave his parents in the lurch. Plus, the last thing he'd want to hear at six in the morning would be his parents making their morning coffee and not having a napkin. And he'd hear it, because his mother would insist on waking him up to get them off the top shelf of the pantry.

Depending on his state of dress, that could be very awkward and his caffeine-deprived mother would not care.

He 'mmhm'ed in response to Ignacio's warning about conversation topics, tucking that neatly away as they moved for the front door. He wasn't sure what to expect, but he did chuckle at the exuberant way Ignacio flung the front door open and welcomed their guest. He, himself, waved in greeting to the young woman standing there, visibly amused. "There are drinks and snacks!"

Ignacio was way too chipper than what she was used to when he answered the door. Solas' brows lifted into her bangs as she looked at him. "Ignacio." She greeted, her tone lilting lightly at the fact she still couldn't get over how much his fancy name amused her. "Thanks...I suppose." She entered, pausing once she was inside to take off her boots.

She was then greeted by another cheerful man, and she gave a short wave in return as she set her boots neatly by the door. "You gentlemen sure know how to make a lady feel welcome." Solas straightened, eyeing Richard. He did look familiar. She had caught sight of Encke during that bottle fiasco at times, closely at the side of a man...but...hm...then later a woman. It honestly wasn't too far of a stretch, considering Eurydike had been changed into a woman during that battle. When she had texted him though to arrange this get together, he did mention his boyfriend so...

Solas glanced back at Ignacio, and then made her way over to Richard. She held her hand out to him to shake. "Richard. It's a pleasure to meet the better half. I'm Solas."

"I suppose?" snarked Ignacio back, eyebrows lifting just slightly, though there still seemed to be an ever-present grin on his face. Perhaps it was the lack of Chaos in the area. Perhaps it Richard's presence. Perhaps it was something else. "I mean, I could just close the door in your face. Don't have to let you in."

He did close the door, but only after she had entered, really.

Ignacio winked when she remarked on them making a lady feel welcomed, but it wasn't long before his face fell out of a playful expression into one that might have been slightly wary. Why did she look at him like that--

Oh, he caught that better half remark, alright. With a snort, Ignacio quipped, "Maybe I should have shut the door in your face."

... Though admittedly, Ignacio did find his Arra to be one of the most amazing people he had ever met, and that wasn't just because they were dating. It was through years of commitment, yes, but also through Arra's personality, the way he treated other people, the way he wove through dance and through conversation, the way he smiled and --

Stay focused Ignacio.

"Don't be rude," he admonished Ignacio gently. Playfully. With a wink and a pat to his shoulder. "You can't shut the door in her face if you invited her here in the first place. It's bad manners." He leaned over just enough to kiss the top of Ignacio's head, then took a step forward to shake the hand Solas had offered him. "Likewise, Solas. And thank you--it's nice to be recognized for my efforts."

Another playful wink Ignacio's way, and a chuckle as he noticed Ignacio spacing out.

"There's food in the kitchen, and drinks and all that. It's right through here if you want to follow me?" He grinned back at Ignacio. "You're welcome to come, too, once you return to earth." Gesturing for Solas, Richard padded towards the kitchen and its bounty of snacks.

"He's nothing but rude." Solas quipped back, looking at Ignacio over her shoulder as she followed Richard into the kitchen. A smirk lightly playing on her lips. "It's not your door to shut in my face." In the privacy of this house, next to Ignacio, among someone the man obviously trusted, Solas couldn't help but note she felt more secure as well. More free to be...just a bit more open, compared to what she was out in public.

Following the man into the kitchen, she couldn't help but look around. It was a very nice house. Like one someone would see in one of those Better Homes and Gardens magazine or something. "I hope you didn't go through too much trouble on my account." She said after a moment. To think they had prepared food and drinks for her coming over? It made her think of...Jules. Though she couldn't remember any first hand memories of her time with the woman in her cute little house.

Only what she had written about it.

Bad manners nyeh. Ignacio stuck his tongue out a bit when Richard admonished him, but something in his form relaxed when Richard kissed the top of his head.

Perhaps it was just feeding into his disaster daydream of how amazing his boyfriend was.

You're welcome to come, too, once you return to earth.

That caught his attention, and Ignacio might have flushed if he was capable of being embarrassed about being caught off on some other planet. As it was, though, Ignacio's brain wandered off somewhere enough that he simply rolled his eyes, trotting off after the retreating figures of Richard and Solas. And once he got close enough, "Please, Solas," and somehow, he had managed to keep some track of the conversation. Call it years of practice, perhaps, "I'm only rude to those who deserve it."

To some level, that would certainly follow with his behavior towards Stillwaterite back when she was Chaos--

He leaned over the island once he got over there, snatching some pretzel sticks and sliding one into his mouth. Playfully, he offered one to Richard, too. "Nah, it's not any trouble. And besides," he eyed some of the food set out, "Luke still cooks like he's got five kids in the house, not just one and his boyfriend."

Richard snagged himself the pretzel stick, laughing at what Ignacio said. "I mean, he's not wrong. My dad never really scaled down the portions he cooked from when my brothers and everyone lived here. It took a while for him to learn how to scale down the grocery shopping, too." When Richard was a teenager, it was not at all uncommon for Luke to come home from the store with way more food than was needed, because he really didn't have any sense of scale for how much three people ate compared to five, six, or seven.

In some ways, Ignacio coming to living with them those years ago had helped the grocery situation, because it meant more of the food got eaten and less of it had to be carted out to the missions or food banks before it went bad. Not that they minded donating it, but finding the time to do so had always been an issue. Even arranging a pickup required someone to be home when the people got there, and that often didn't happen until nine or ten at night.

Realizing that he was starting to space out, Richard munched thoughtfully on the pretzel stick.

"We end up really popular around the neighborhood around the holidays, because we always have leftovers. Even when my brothers and their families come over, we still cook too much." A talent to be sure, considering the whole clan of them probably amounted to almost two dozen people.

Solas quietly listened, interested. Alright, so Luke was Richard's father, and the reason why this house was so big was because it had housed a large family at one point. That made sense. She took her cue from the men, and went ahead and helped herself to some pretzel sticks as well. She smiled briefly, very briefly, at the comment about the holidays. "Have your parents thought about downsizing?" She asked, curious.

The woman was silent for a moment as she glanced at Ignacio, who was also eating some pretzel sticks as well.

"Another question for you, Richard, off topic...seeing that rude mug over there reminded me. Just how good are Ignacio's vacuum pressured lips?" She said it was such a straight face, it was pretty impressive. "I'm curious."

Ignacio let out a bit of a snort when Solas suggested that his parents-in-law might consider downsizing.

"Eventually, maybe. But I think there's a part of them that is too attached to the ability to have family gatherings here, the work they had to do to even get a house like this," Ignacio twirled one of the pretzel sticks in his fingers before taking a bite out of it, "it'll be a while before they leave."

But Ignacio wasn't exactly in a rush for them to leave. Admittedly, he liked having Safira and Luke in the house, as inconvenient as they could make themselves sometimes. They still had their own space apart, but it was nice to eat what Luke made, chatter with Safira about movies, see how relaxed Richard was by their continued presence--

And even if his Arra had been the one to convince them, Ignacio might have still been lost without Safira and --

Ignacio swallowed hard at the question, eyes widening in surprise that Solas would bring that comment up.

Of course she would.

It was Solas.

It was Stillwaterite.

Why was he even surprised.

Somehow concerned, mildly flustered, and curious all at once, Ignacio side-eyed his boyfriend.

“Well, they want to downsize eventually. My mom makes comments sometimes about this becoming our," he gestured to himself and Ignacio, "house once she and my dad get good and tired of cleaning it all the time. Maybe move to a 'cute three bed, two bath with a nice kitchen and flowers'." He shrugged. "I don't know what use they think we have for a six bed, three-and-a-half bath house, but." He glanced to Ignacio. "That too, yeah. My parents started having kids young, so this was kind of their dream, especially once there were five of us."

Granted, Richard had been so young when they moved in here that he didn't really remember living anywhere else.

Perk of being the baby of the family, he supposed.

Off topic question? Sure, he was game. What did--

Richard made a rather impressive coughing noise as he tried not to inhale a pretzel stick, with only partial success. Wheezing as tears sprung to his eyes, Richard scrambled for a glass of water. Salt did not feel great in the windpipe.

Good to know, good to know...and it made sense. "If you and Ignacio get the house, are you two going to fill it with children as well?" The question was asked innocently enough, but, she was still Still. Brows lifted after she asked, but her lips couldn't help but start to turn up into a smirk as Ignacio's eyes widened and then looked nervous.

This was great.

Solas idly munched on a pretzel stick as her attention turned to poor Richard, who ended up nearly inhaling the pretzel he was eating. "Ah." The woman said, and her smirk widened. "So that's where he gets it from." A tease, of course. "Are you alright, Richard?" The woman asked.

This was not great.

If Richard hadn't been able to locate the water on his own, Ignacio managed to locate it for him, attempting to hand him the water just to give him more to swallow down whatever he seemed to be choking on. His Arra's face was red, but there was a part of him that was having trouble telling if it was coming more from the comment that had come from Encke's own awful comment, or if it was coming more from the fact that he probably couldn't breathe awfully well at the moment.

Ignacio had half a mind to shoot a glare at Solas, but he didn't, because she did ask if Richard was alright and also this was Still, so, naturally, this was expected behaviour.

Expected behaviour he hadn't thought to warn Richard of.

But expected nonetheless.

Still a bit flabberghasted, Ignacio pulled at the collar of his shirt. But he attempted to play it all off with a, "I told you they were good."

Richard coughed, drank water, coughed, drank more water, until finally he had resolved the issue of the pretzel particles in his windpipe. There was still a tickle, and he cleared his throat a couple of times to try and make sure he didn't devolve into another coughing fit. Finally, after a solid minute or so, he was willing to attempt speaking.

Attempt, of course, was the operative word.

Voice thin and breathless from the coughing, all Richard could manage was a, "what?" at first. That was enough to make him cough again, and he took another drink of water and cleared his throat yet again to try and make the tickle go away. "I'm, uh, fine."

Just fine.

...Ignacio's talents were also just fine thankyouvery--

"Nah, not so far, anyway. We don't really have the money to adopt quite yet." Richard also didn't know how much they felt secure enough in World Events(tm) to be starting a family of any kind. "So right now it's mainly Luz, our dog, who's around here somewhere I'm sure." Speaking of Luz, Richard craned his neck around to see if he could see where she'd gone off to.
