From around the 19th century, national personifications are generally female. It's Hetalia that turned it around by turning many national personifications into male.
Most guys out here in the Philippines do not respect women anymore. I'm one of those few that still do respect women and hold them in equal regards to guys. I am a feminist.

That is plausible. Since many yaoi fans are girls, it implies that it's mainly for girls.
When it comes to feminism, I'm one of those feminists who advocate for complementarity between men and women and not for separation. The more conservative types in Philippine society as a rule, treat women with respect, equality and dignity. As the saying goes, "Distinction is divine, discrimination is diabolic".
