Sokato walked along looking straight ahead. "Well first, the red dragon. The red dragon is of the Chromatic family of dragons, the evil branch of dragon kind. Red dragons represent the element fire. They live in Temperate climates or in the mountains. They are obviously red. The wrymlings have bright red scales where the holder dragons have duller scales. They can breath fire, but would much rather attack weaker foes by swooping down on them and biting."

Sokato continued on. "There are also silver dragons in the area, although I don’t think there are too many left since the red dragons came. Silver dragons are of the metallic family of dragons, which make up the good branch of dragonkind. Silver dragons live on the mountain peaks or on top of the clouds themselves. A silver wyrmling’s scales are blue gray with silver highlights. The scales get brighter with age. I will tell you more later." Sokato started to walk faster. "We should start running, if your ready."

The android shook his head. "You two bicker like an old married couple... Now shut up and get ready, I am going to turn on the machine now." The android said typing at the keyboard. The portal forms in a similar fashion as before.

((So damn sorry it took me a while. All of my teachers decided now would be a great time to dish out projects.))

Yue's breath was shallow, at best. He couldn't take deep breaths and his body was beginning to act of its own accord.
"Red dragons, are of the element fire. Silver, metallic, Dragon." The mutters were random but they were keys.
"Let's go. And this time, Don't stop, even if I should falter. I'll met you there." Yue jumped into the trees and ran from there. The teen needed some room, if some random energy would happed be displaced, people in close range would be the ones most affected.
Yue had never, and would attempt to never, tell anyone of the years before the accident, when he was able to bend water at his will with no restrictions.
Being the dark and mysterious child who lots of potential, he was the target of many kidnappings. One such mission turned very wrong.
It was the time when the young boy was learning a very secret techinque. from a master. He was genuis to combine one aspect of a techinque to use for his own.
Well, while he was working out the details of the art, he was ambushed. Accidentaly, he activated the ability and found a very shocking surprise. It worked, at a price. The moves were new and confusing.
Sadily there was a vial of poison in one of his kidnapper's pockets and he began to bend the water within it. The vial shattered, the liquid sitting on the person's skin. So when Yue went to deliver the final blow, by drinking (aka. removing the liquid substances from the body). He absorbed the poison.
Having never told anyone about this humilating tie, he has never been able to receive proper treatment. His kinesis as always held back the poison but when the kinesis is diverted the poision begins to take affect.

Yue had to get the poison back under control. The main spots were his brain, his arteries, and the most important of all, his heart. Other then those spots the poison would be unable to affect them.
"I must hurry." The split in his concentration was beginning to take affect. To add to the postive mood, the forest was beginning to thin.
"Are we getting near the village?" He spoke to himself, truly hopeing they were getting really close.

Brian grinned, and without much further ado, he opened the door to the simulator room.

Cold smoke hung around the room, as he shoved his team inside. Three people were already waiting on the Inside.
The room itself was rather large and roomy, and looked as if he had been taken right out of a black and white movie about luckless detectives.
The room was held in clinically white walls, and had a few windows high up near the ceiling. in the middle, there was a standart stainless steel desk, with a map, and a heap of papers around it. As the six entered the room, one of the three persons sat up.
"AAh, the team I have told you about. Magnificent. "
The guy was tall and wellbuilt, yet slender. He wore black jeans, black dress-shoes, and a turtleneck, which was also black. His face was clearly unshaven, and he spotted a nasty scar over one off his brown eyes, which did not move.
"So, I think we can all calm down now, and look after the obvious. Let's play a round of introduction then, shall we?
I am Mayor Johnson, US Marines. I am kind of the person whpo got the idea to hire Mishaps and involve them in this case. "
At the head of the table, you saw a bald guy sitting over some papers, smoking a cigarette. His face was plain and uninteresting, and in the heat, which was nearly tropical, he wore khaki shorts and a brihtly colored shirt. He shortly looked up from the papers, tipped his forehead, and looked down again.
"The guy behind the papers is our technican, Mister Spock. He was at the time in question busy catching copyrighted material, and burning out cd-roms with it, but he noted the signal. In exchange for a heafty sentence, he decided to cooperate with us. He is mainly all the technical support we could manage. "
A figure in a green uniform came out of the shadows, and suckled a bit on a cigarette. He was asian, starting to get bald, and apparently very angry.
"This gentleman is Mister Wu of the south Korean army, who has finally deccided to call us into action. "
He motioned the team to sit down, then stared at Brian for a second. Finally, he grabbed a can of Coke, and threw it to him.
"Bugger off, boy, Now is adult talking time. "
Brian bowed, and walked out of the room, through the same door as the Team had used to enter, only at this time, it showed a hallway of doors, and some Korean men in white coats, running around and looking busy. After the door had closed, he sat down and grinned.
"So, since you are professionals, let's come straight to the case. Mister Spock, Timeline of events, please..."
The bald guy nodded, and looked at the team.
"Ok, three days and 4 hours ago, I caught hold of a signal. Basically, it resembled the signal Mishaps allways uses for its Portals, only in this case, it was only downwards. "
The korean man slapped his hand on the table.
"Damn it, what do you mean by Portal? and what is downwards?"
Mister Spock looked at him with all the signs of a man questioning an other man's intelligence very much. It was very clear that he did not like the question very much. He first looked at the Team, then at Mister Johnson, who simply nodded. Somehow, you feel left out what this really means, but before you can ponder, The guy continued.
"From the limited material available, I can say that much. Mishaps, as it is commonly known, posesses the technology to open portals, in other dimensions and wossnames. To do so, they have to sent a signal up, then a fitting signal comes down, then the portal appears. At the same time, in the intended destination, a signal comes down, and a portal appears. Basically, it is like knitting two holed in a paper together. "
He looked at his papers, and nodded again.
"Anyyway, the nice and important part is that the signal only went down at the destination, which leaves the conclusion that the signal came from elsewhere. Since Mishaps is the only allowed firm, it could, at least back then, only come from mishaps. Yes, I guess that fits it up. later on, by comparing the signal strength of three other antenna who also got the signal, I was able to locate the signal in the demilitarized zone, near the jungle. I guess Mister Wu continues now..."
Mister w nodded, and pointed at a place on th map. Only green surrounded the point, and at the far right corner, there were a feW streets.
"After comrade Spock reported the signal, our glorious military force wanted to look if perhaps something had happened or crashed there, and sent two teams and a helicopter"
Mister johnson folded his hands, and spock made the sign of the cross, as mister Wu put a little tape recorder on the table, and pressed play. After a few bits pf crackling, there were two voices on the tape.
"Wao ton fin-kah Tjao! Tjohn ka pu wa fe rat pjao! "
The sound of heavy gunfire, below the speakers place, and several bestial grunts. The speaker seemed scard for his life, and shouted his sentences.
"KJAO PAN! JATU ZAH-O Ka PAU! PAU, NJU TJOE MA FELAGO , Pa Wan...!"
The sound of a huge explosion followed , and then, silence.
Mister wu stopped the tape.
"This was the last transmission of the team we reccieved. Our comrades went there in two units of 10 men each, in a transport helicopter with added outside protection, because it could allways have been some rebell group hiding in the zone. We would have written it of as a rebell group, if not for these last words of the transmission. "
Mister johnson coughed.
"I believe the mishaps team lacks a translator, so i will take the part. At first, the speaker calls in to the homebase. "Now entering target area, as air support of the ground team. Flying over the area now. ". Seems pretty usual, as for now. apparently, the helicopter flew around a curve, and completly disappeared from all systems. Air controll lost him, internal GPS-tracker missfired, only the radio still worked. basicqally, primitive technology from the 60's, as the Korean government allways wants very fail-safe stuff, and is usually tight on money. No, the interesting part is after the gunfire, and the explosions. For example, take the screams. At first, we thought it were some anomals, but the experts we contacted told us that no known animal had the neccesary size to get so deep and bestial. neccesary for that is a chest as broad as the terminators, if you excuse the comparison. But that is just an other piece of the puzzle. The best part is what the pilot says after that. "Oh my god, they get slaughtered like s**t-flys. What the heck are they? Oh dreck, pull us up, ******** green devils...". So, of course, that left a few questions open. what kind of tech blocks all forms of communication but surveillance, yet does not manage to cut simple radio. How can a unit of 20 man and an armored transport vehicle be wiped out in such a short time? And,yet interesting of all, what do they mean by green devils?"
He looked at the team, and grinned.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are officially at a loss here. That, and the usage of technology usually associated with youz, made us hire you.
So, your mission is the following..."
He reached under the table, and pulled out several envellopes, which he handed to each member of the team. H grinned.
"You will be escorted to the very corner of the demilitarized zone by a troupe of this countrys soldiers. That should eliminate all problems on the way. Each step firther will cost south corea deeply, but what can we do if a troupe of foreign soldiers simply wanders off in the wilderness? Officially, Your cover is that you are training with the soldiers of the nearby base the survival in tropical regions. each member of the troupe there will swear he has been showing you how to dig proper holes, and so on, for days.
The minute you set foot in the jungle, you are on your own. if you wander off to North Korea, you will have a very hard time there, and will prolly spend a nice vacation as they treat you like foreign spys. If you meet small resistance inside the jungle, your order is to try to sneak around them. Your main order will be to a) find the place where the signal came down, b) find out what the hell killed the crew of the Koreans, and c) send us as much intel as neccesary to justify further actions. As for a little bonus, if you also manage to seal the problem there, the country would be able to push all responsibility on rebells, and therefor would, under these circumstances, increase the payment to a 3/4 million US dollars for the entire team. If you need anything, better say it now, because quite honestly,we are not very good with refunding travel expenses here, if you know what I mean. So, untill now, any more questions? Any needs that we could meet?"
The three men looked at the team, with the cold interest of professionals.

Riku walks down the marketplace, the sun beating down on his forehead. His shades conceal the bored look on his face. He carries the large suitcase at his side. He walks into the nearest hotel and checks in. He enters Room 7 and locks the door behind him.

"Man, it's been a while since I've done this," he says to himself. "I'd better get some practice in. Later...."

He lays down on the bed and in minutes falls asleep.

Azora, who for the most part just listen felt her hair stand up on the back of her neck. The screams, the gun fire, the mystery, Aaahhh the wonders of being a Mishap. She could have sworn that she was so excited she began to feel perspiration form on the back of her neck as well. Green devils? Was that all they could do to give information? But no matter they would soon find out. She just wished that blood, which would not be hers, is spilled, nice and rich blood, all over the floor right?

Perhaps she was letting the animal lusts go to far, so she crossed her legs neatly and stared at the three men. Baldy, nearly bald, too much facial hair, was all she had to say about them. She tapped the padding of her fingers impatiently on the chair, explanation over lets get over there come on!!! The coffin was getting hungry....

She didn't do anything, she didn't even look at them, not that she could look anyway. But was intrigued her the most was the recording, 20 men, armored transportation, that must have been some hell of a devil. The trees perhaps? They were green, and what if it was radiation that mutated the surrounding wild life and plant life? She wasn't exactly comfortable shooting a tree.

Once outside, he sighed, and continued into the woods. He headed west in silence and solitude. When he was far enough that he couldnt see the base, he started running to make good time. He could run for almost a day at a constant pace. If he went at top speed, maybe half a day, but he might et farther. He would then have to take more time to recover, so he decided to keep it a steady, constant and even pace. He calculated that in a day and a half, he could make it to the end of this continent, another day or two on a ship, and get to the other continent in less than a week from the day, if nothing unexpected happened...

...He was on the western continent a week later and about a days travel till the town. As he continued, he noticed a hawk flying above him. It had been following him ever since he got on the continent. Shadow stopped, and waited. He then beconed, and the hawk flew down and landed on his fore arm. He petted the hawk's head gently and said, "Hello again. It's been a long time old friend. would you like to assist me once again Gragon?" The hawk answered with a screech. "Do you know of a town being herrassed bye groups of bad men?" It made a nodding motion with it's head. "Are we near?" Shadow then senced teh answer and saw the town. It was close. He nodded his thanks and sent the hawk flying with the raise of his arm.

He got to the outskirts of town, and crowched down to get a visual without being seen. Gragon came down and landed on his shoulder, and waited quietly and patiently. The town was bigger than he pictured. Because of this, he decided to climb a tree to get a better view, and to take a few preliminary photos.

Once he was in the tree, he pulled out the glasses. He took hid glasses off, put the Tech's glasses on, and proceeded to generate the energy needed through magic, general meditation and simple enrgy conversion. That is why he left the charging devises at the base. He then took a few pics and set them to the base. He wasn't sure who they would go to, but for now he supposed it wouldnt matter. They were to inform those who needed to know, that he was there. He also sent a simple message introducing his friend, Gragon, so that they wouldnt shoot him when he delivered a message. It was for appearance more than anything. There were 3 ways Shadow could comunicate with the mercinaries. He had the glasses the tech gave him, a hawk, and a technique now one in the mishaps knew about yet. It was a level 5 meditation skill that he mastered.

Riku woke up, and pulled the case closer to him. He opened it, revealing what looked like ordinary papers. However, he carefully removed the false bottom, revealing dual Colt M1911 pistols. He pulled them out and placed them in the holsters. He then pulled out a small card key. Putting the false bottom back in the case, he walked over to the bathroom and ducked behind the sink. He slid the card in a hidden slot there, and a panel in the wall slid open.

"Just where I thought it would be. They're never too original about it."

He pulled out a large box reading "Ragnarok Industrial Ltd.". He opened it, and pulled out his pride and joy: Requiem, his heavily modified Barret M107 sniper rifle. After checking the gun and it's components for any damage (he hated it when anyone but him handled the rifle), he slid it back in, closed the box, and pushed it back into the compartment. He then walked back to the bed and laid back down.

"Soon, my love. Soon."

Matt smiles and Konna giggles a little. Green devils huh, well this would be interesting, and the fact that certain techs were blocked didn't bug him. The only technical equipment he and Konna had on was there video com's. Good thing each was trained with all kinds of weapons, fighting invisible enemies... yes or at least close to it, in a green jungle these 'Green Devils' would be hard to spot. So he would have to keep his eyes peeled and Konna would have to keep her extra sensitive nose alert.

ooc: Lots of job Apps flowin in! Thank you guys. I'll be adding your names to the list just as soon as I can get off of work today x] And hopefully we'll get some form of activity from Ryanna and Kairin this weekend but I'm not making nany promises cause its mid term time for them >.> <.<

Xinrie grimaced, rubbing her chin, "er yea, looks like it. Uhm...and you are?" She asked this question in a non chalant way as she held her hands out for the thief, obviously she wanted to grab it for now, simply for identification purposes only. After all, Kairin would definatly be bale to identify any old thieves with her freaky photographic memory.

Ike in the meantime had already bagged his own thief, it was a kid actually, only in his teenage years. And luckily for him, it had been the easiest catch of the day, all he had to do was fwip out his wings and the kid fainted right on the spot. "Urn....Heavy." Ike grabbed the boy around the waist and began to drag him off towards the nearest guard tower.

Cyrith chuckled, then reverted back to his original voice. He also pulled out his hilt. "Recognize this, Cap? I see you've had a grand deal of a time." A quick voice change, and a giggle, and Cynthia was back in play. "Thought that the best way to get the thieves is to be a 'little girl who can't take care of herself.' What do you think, huh?"

Riku pulls out the case again, this time taking out the components of Requiem. He places them into the suitcase, then closes it and heads out. He climbs into a waiting Fiat, which pulls away.
"Damn it, Mike. I told you not to rent this piece of crap car," Riku complains loudly.

"Well, this was all I could afford on my salary. I'm just a chauffeur, not a sniper like you," Mike says back. "Why don't you spend some of YOUR hard-earned cash and rent, say, a BMW?"

"You know damn well there are no Beamers in a town like this," Riku says. "You could have at least gotten a Pinto. Anything's better than a FIAT, except for the Yugo."

"Look, let's just get there. You can b***h later," Mike says, and continues driving. They soon end up outside the city, on a cliff overlooking the highway.

"Well, this is as far as I go," Mike says. "You can walk from here. They'll send a ride after the job's done." He pulls away and drives off, and Riku starts up the hill.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 09, 2008 6:04 pm

Riku gets to the overlook, then opens the suitcase again. Pulling out the components of Requiem, he assembles it, loading his unique 35" barrel. He then pulls out several small boxes, labeled "Mk 7 Nitro Powder", "M411 Primer" and "Blitz Mk II APFSSD". He then pulls out a small powder scale and a fresh .50 caliber casing. He loads the primer into the base of the shell, then measures out the right amount of powder and pours it into the neck. Finally, he takes the slug loader, places a slug on it, and inserts it into the neck. Putting the rest of the equipment back into the suitcase, he opens the bolt on the rifle, loads the round into the chamber, and closes it. Finally, he walks to the edge of the cliff and places the rifle on the ground, so the bipod rests on the ground. Riku then places his receiver into his ear.

"This is Riku. I'm in position. What's the status on the target?"

"The target will be in range in 30 minutes.. Remember: this is the only chance we have to take him out."

"Don't worry," Riku reassured the person on the other end. "I never miss."

"That's why we had you do this mission. Good luck."

"I don't need luck," Riku says as the other line clicks off. He then lays on his belly and prepares himself.

Twenty-nine minutes pass, and finally, a convoy appears. In the center, Riku sees a Stryker armored vehicle. That's where the target is, Riku thinks to himself. He waits until the vehicle is in range, then pulls out a small detonator, and pushes the plunger. Smoke pours from the engine, and the Stryker stops. Men pour out of the other cars, and walk towards the back. The engine was blown, thanks to a small charge just powerful enough to take out the battery. Now, they would have to transfer him to one of the alternate, unarmored vehicles. Riku aims the scope at the back, and sees his target get out: Viktor Kapinsky, an arms dealer responsible for supplying multiple terrorist cells. The 25k was as good as Riku's now.

He carefully put a small amount of pressure on the trigger, waiting for the opportune moment. Kapinsky looked towards his direction: if not for the three and a half miles between them, they would've been looking eye-to-eye. Riku took a deep breath, exhaled, and pulled the trigger.

CRACK!

Riku saw a spurt of blood behind Kapinsky's head as the .50 caliber sabot ripped through his skull. He saw the bullet enter the armor plating in the Stryker, and every one of his guards duck for cover. His job done, he picked up the rifle, ejected the casing, and grabbed the suitcase. A small helicopter pulled up to the cliff, and Riku climbed in.

"Good job, Riku. Those cells are gonna be scrambling for months now. The money's being wired to your account as we speak."

"Good," Riku muttered. "Now take me back. I need a nap."

Joel Issiri bought a bowl of sugared crickets, and decided that people who lived in the desert had to be very resourceful with their food. He sat down at a table, and adjusted his turban. The blasted thing was always coming loose. It hid his faintly pointed ears (in addition to its usual protection from the sun), but there nothing he could do to hide his forest green eyes. Sunglasses hadn't been invented or imported here yet. On the bright side, the turban matched his bright green clothes. He pulled a vaguely bear-shaped chunk of wood from one pocket, and reached for his carving set. Which wasn't there. A small strip of leather hung from his belt where the carving set should have been. Joel thought back to where he had last had it. There was the cloth stand (he had bought a red vest, which he now wore), there was the jewelry merchant (the best of his gems had flaws), and there was the shady-looking guy in the corner. What had the guy had looked like? Dark clothes, missing fingers and in fact, he looked an awful lot like the guy being arrested on the other side of the square. Joel walked over, and addressed Urkal's security team.

"Excuse me, but have any of you seen a leather pouch on a cut strap, containing an imported wood box with the name 'Joel Issiri' engraved on it in gold script? I last had it in the vicinity of this man." He gestured at the thief.
