Of course that got a smile out of Piper. That meant that her and Malik wouldn't have to overly worry about the place coming down around thier ears. And of course she knew Malik would probably take Meilikki up on the suggestion...he was a practical elf after all. Then a blink to Meilikki. "So his name is Raziel then...I'm sure he'll be happy to know." And then a look to Malik. "And I guess that measn we don't need to worry about his incessant need for information...just as long as he doesn't fall into the wrong hands." Blue, or rather Raziel would be quite happy.

Eliot could only here one side of the conversation, but she caught the meaning well enough. Now she realized why the dragon did not like her, she was a woman who had the potetnial to steal a man away from her whom she never had to begin with. Elito thought that was odd, why wouold you want to be with someone who obviously didn't want you back? Why fool yourself? She had obviously lived alone for a long time because of it.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to interfear like that..." Eliot didn't know what to say.

Malik nodded.
"At least he's not a lich born threat. very well I'll give you what else I know then. Iris here is a creation of his. apparently, from what I gathered out of her, she and twenty other slaves I recently purchased were grown in a place they call teh corn fields. and they are without a soul. it is apparently taken from them shortly after they are..harvested I guess woudl be the term. adn they are very hard to kill, as your cousin mentioned. he suggested I destroy the ones I've aquired, but they are expensive, and perhaps through thier study or under the premise of continued buisness relation I can learn more."
A look to Tarathiel and Whirlwind.
"You took the oracle from him, and my recent little alliance to the mage academy probably puts me on the list as well. looks like all of us in the room now have a powerful and common enemy. if the stories are correct, this is an insane demi-god who liched himself in order to get the immortality promised his favored twin."
Onyx didn't mind the glare.
"Well I didn't know what else to do. you stay like you were, you're going to wither and die. I didn't know how to help, and niether does nayone else here. only mom has been through this before. SO get pissy all you want, I'm going to make sure you get all teh company mom says you need. even if it mean siccing an imp on your kangaroo shoes."

Roarke held a hand out to Eliot. "No. This would have happened sooner or later."
Alaran was fuming. Are you dismissing me?
Roarke's eyes flashed. "I am. Alaran, you are hereby disolved of your post. I want you out of the Acadamy in an hour."
A dangerous glint sparkled in Alaran's eye. How dare you. I ahve been in your loyal service since the day your mother passed you from her womb. I will not be thrown asside like a dog!
"When you learn to grow up and face the truth, then you may come back. Until then..." he pointed to the door.

Eliot took Roarke's hand and was not sure what she was supposed to do with it. So she just stood there holding it as she watched Alaran leave the room.
"I'm sorry Roakre, I didn't realize I had woken you up, I thought for sure you would be awake, it's almost mornign isn't it?"
She had always thought that people of magic had odd sleeping habits and would be up very early in the morning.
"If you would liek to go back to sleep, then I could leave."

Meilikki rubbed the bridge of her nose. This little onslaught of information was....frightening. And she had eason to be frightened. She couldn't see the lich. Had no idea when or how or from where he would be comming.
"Yes. While I would liek to see these..soulless destroyed, they may be essential to the in thei information we, or rather you, could gather from them. An insane demi-god." She shivered. "You have officially given me the heeby jeebies, Malik D'vinn."
"If Dimitri sees himself as a god, if it is indeed Dimitri that is, then he will have made these soulless in his image. Finding out the best way to kill these creatures may very well bring down him as well."
She sighed. She was getting a headache. "I must implore the both of you to be carefull. Labyrinth cannot afford your deaths."
Moonstone tossed the raven item onto the bed. "I don't need you, or the anybodyy. I just want to be elft alone." A glance down at his feat. "And you sic the imps on my shoes, and I'll tell Bode that you volenteered to be her offical taste tester." He wrinkled his nose. "You know those smells from the kitchen are form her little...experiments." Tel Bode that, and she would insist that "Gaurdian Onyx" try every little thing she does.

Roarke led Eliot to chair, where a small round table held fruits and cheeses. He sat her down, poored her some spiced wine form an ice cold jug. Ever the host, was Roarke.
He yawned. "it's alright. I've been sleeping a while. That hooded man drained a lot out of me. use that much power and it takes me a long time to recuperate." He scratched at his head, his long red hair falling aobut his shoulders. "I am sorry that you had to see me in my nightclotes." he yawned again, "not very host like of me."

"Wait wait wait...that means we have to essentially experiment with different ways to kill them, and keep trying if it doesn't work the first time?" She groaned, crossed her arms on the table and dropped her head on her arms, staring at the grain of the table. She couldn't do that...she couldn't even be around that...it was too close to the word torture...even if they couldn't feel, even if they didn't react. They still bled, they could still die. Though a slight look up from the table to Meilikki as she told them to be careful so as they wouldn't die. "Right...no dying on out parts." Get yourself together Silverfeather, if you plan on taking the name of D'vinn you better buck up and get with the program that everyone else is following. So with a sigh she sat up, leaning back in her chair. "I suppose then until this lich is dealt with, the surface stays as it is, correct?"

Eliot laughed. "You never eally know someone until you see what they try to hide from the world. Your night clothes are fine Roarke, I've seen you in worse." She Giggled again. She took a seat and sipped the spiced wine, it was wonderfully cold, and left a taste on her tongue that she quite enjoyed.
"I didn't reaize it took you so long to recuperate, I'm sorry I woke you. I also didn't realize that you kept awatch over yourself as you slept, I thought you would use other preventive matters like.. oh what do humans call them?" She tapped her lip for a moment, "Armour? is that correct?"
She thought for a moment more and frowned. She bent down nad began lifting her pant leg up. HSe inspected her legs carefully. But there was not a mark on them, even the bruises sh still had... had diapeared. All that was left were faint scars. How odd, she should have frost bite all over them...

"She's been much to problematic. But I tihnk I made the Academy an enemy. That dragon is unpredictable. She just mgiht attack."
Roarke frwoned. "I usually put up some magic barriars when I sleep...how did you get by them all?" HE frowned, noticing of cours as Eliot inspected herself. "And how is it that you survived Alaran's frost breath?"

Meilikki frowned. It sounded so much worse when put on those terms. "Either that, or keep a very skilled healer near by. Almost kill them, and heal them." She shrugged. "I know it isn't nice dear. But there are many more lives at stake then thse soulless."
She tapped a finger on the table. "The surface? I am not sure at the moment. Setting things into motion may help upset the lichs plans."

"another reason, and I think all of you should know, that we come to teh conculsionit is him, the lich..is becuase he allowed you to be taken from him. accordign to your cousin, he let warren rescue the that girl, let you go, knowing that the girl woudl lead your cousin to him. he wanted the decendant of Ton. sounds kind of like he's got a grudge against both mage and oracle, which fomr that journal that your cousin showed myself and kieran..fits him rather nicely. And I know, or at least have a very good idea, how to kill them."
A gesture for Iris to come forward to the desk.
"Iris is one of these souless, but siad she's defective. she came to the fortress of her own will, following her siblings I guess is the best word. she can fight, and if you want, I'd be happy to leave her here with you to assist in your protection."
Onyx got up, and picked up teh item, putting in on a shelf, and decked his twin as hard as he coudl, even flaring a bit of his demonic aura into it.
"You listen to me, Moonstone. and you listen real good. Wether you like it or not, wether you think you need it or not, you're going to be hanging around people. I'm not going to let you wither and die, adn you will. either in flesh or in spirit. You're going to do as mom requests, and I don't care if I have to chain you to a chair and drag you aroudn screaming and howling. You are my twin. the light to darkness, logic to impulse, thought to action. and I'm not about to have you die or go insane on me."

Eliot looked at him blankly.
"I don't know, I just walked, I really wanted some company... and then, when my legs got cold, I ignored it, and I started to concentrate really hard on getting into you, I thought you might be hurt..."
She tapped her lip again. And thinking it was very odd that she had once again forgotten about the little crystilized black rose around her neck, she pulled it from beneath her wrappings.
"One of your students dropped this, I meant to give it to you when I found you, but I kept forgetting about it till now, how odd.." She slipped the chain from around her neck and studied the little flower.

"Oh don't try to make it any better than what it is....troture is torture." And he voice almost cracked on that word but she kept herself together, clearing her throat as she crossed her arms and apparently was sinking into a not so nice mood. Was she really? Of course not, she was jsut trying to shut herself down so that only the objective mattered and not the means. She hated doing it...but sometimes we have to do things we hate. A look away at nothing in particular, one hand going to play with her ear. Then she froze slightly...holy crap...she was around other people and her ears were showing. Oh gods...self concious. Perahps it wouldn't of bothered her...had Tarathiel not been a Drow and Whirlwind not a half elf. Piper really wanted to slip under that table right about now. "Well...if you want me to do something now then I'll do it, if not then I won't. I'm bound by my word to do that for you."

She looked to Piper. She sighed. "Yes. You are right. But if you knwo how to get rid of them already," she shrugged. "Piper, dear. I know what you've been through. The surface can wait for a little while longer. You need to be recuperated, fully yourself again. You may have to kill someone to finish these tasks."
Meilikki stood, her chair screeching agianst the floor slightly. "let me go..." that emant he would be comming back for her. Why? Brecause he held a grudge against the family....he wanted Eca, and hadn't been able to hold on to her for long. Meilikki was the next best thing. His plan for Eca had been...she shivered. God. She had never felt so blind.
"I will very take this protection that you offer, Malik D'vinn. You say she is a defective soulless? How is that?" She approached Piper, since she could see the woman. "Show me this Iris woman, would you dear? I can't see here. Not one bit."
Moonstone did not expect to be slugged by his brother, and he was sent sprawling to the floor. "Go insane?" A scruffy Moon stood up, angry. "Howling and screaming?" He took a swipe at his brother, calws extended. "Do you wnat to know what it's like!?" The other hand came out as well, one stricking up, the other down. "To rest your head against your parents chest, to hear their beating heart" He bared his fanges. "Only to realize that yours doesn't beat!?"
