"Same here, though I'm new to this school. Pretty great place so far though, by the looks of it. I've been able to cast magic and not be labled a freak here..." Vice said, a small wisp of cold escaping from his lips. "So... You're an elf, right?" He asked, shifting his backpack from shoulder to shoulder. It contained the tome, and maybe she could read it...

"I'm half elf, my father was a angel so I have the powers from his side too," Amethya said getting a little more comfortable. "I have not tried any magic yet but I have only been here for ten minutes." Amethya started to loosen her muscles as she calmed.

As she relaxed she noticed that Vice was fiddling with his back, being an angel made it difficult to ignore people if they are irritated or hurt so she had to know what was wrong. "Is there something bothering you?" she asked feeling the tattoos on her back tingle as she followed her angelic calling. That has happened before but she thought that she would never get used to it.

"Actually, since you have both elven and angelic blood..." Vice sweated a bit, a rare thing for him. "Do you yhink you could read this?" He said, pulling the tablet from his backpack and holding it out to her. "I can only read select parts of it..."

[Spazz edit; You're still coming up short... Describe the tablet, or enter his head and get into his thoughts. It needs to be at least 2 and a half lines. Only one of your posts has managed this, and that was barely.]

"One small step. That's all it takes. Just open the door, put your foot in, close the door, and you're finished. That's all you have to do."

Sun Rah had been standing outside her new high school for some time now, simply staring at the door. It was a wonder no one had walked by. Scratch that, it was a miracle, because surely if anyone had seen her they'd think she was mental and have her committed for talking to herself.

"At least I won't have to walk in here if I'm sent to an insane asylum... plus, I hear they have nice cake at that one around the corner."

For a moment, she briefly considered it. Her plans to run away to play with the insane people were cut short, however, when her pet white tiger, Nameni, impatiently bit at her hand and jerked her back to reality. Sun let out a great, big sigh and stared into the icy blue eyes of her best companion.

"Yeah, I'd like to see you open that door, Nameni. You're more than welcome to lead the way."

The tiger let out a frustrated growl in a manner that seemed to say, "This is your problem. I'm just here for the ride." At last, with a great, big sigh, Sun opened that stupid door with its stupid shiny handle and its stupid intimidating high school-ers on the other side and made her grand entrance... by tripping flat on her face.

Lovely.

Blakely looked out the window of the car as the trees sped by. She then looked at her skinny jeans and smoothed the nonexistent wrinkles. She pulled up her navy Ugg Boots, though they did not move because they were already in perfect position. She pulled scanned over her navy Hollister baby doll tank top for any bit of lint. She then fixed the position of her American Eagle white jacket, making sure it was in perfect position. “Are you nervous baby?” Her mother’s voice sounded from the front seat. “Terrified.” Blakely muttered, and her Mother’s bell like laugh sprung to life. “You’ll be perfect, you always are.” Blakely looked over the map to the school and reread her schedule she memorized as soon as she got the news that she was accepted. Finally, the car stopped and Blakely grabbed her Navy Vera Bradley bag and slipped it on, grasping her acceptance letter. “I love you Mom.” Blakely said as she opened the door to the Black Jeep. “I love you more.” Blakely’s Mother said and Blakely closed the door and walked towards the gates.

Blakely watched as her mother drove off before moving any closer to the school grounds. When she saw another student fall on her face, she knew she had to help. Blakely walked to her and helped her up. “I’m Blakely.” She introduced herself to the girl, smiling her million dollar smile. Once the girl was up Blakely nodded her goodbye and continued her terrifying walk to her new school.

Blakely walked into the steal gates of school, with the sound of her footsteps echoing slightly on the concrete sidewalk. “Welcome to Ria High School please show me your acceptance letter so I may give you your student ID” Some teacher said, and Blakely turned to face her, showing her huge smile. “Here you go Maim.” Blakely said, handing the woman her acceptance letter. The woman quickly scanned it and smiled back at Blakely. “Here you go Blakely.” The woman said. “Thank you so much.” Blakely said and walked in, looking around the school. She scanned the area and instant saw a guy and a girl talking. She looked over but chickened out; she didn’t want to become friends with a guy.

"I'll be right back, just tell me what the tablet says later." Vice said to Amy as he walked over to Blake. "I noticed you earlier looking at my friend and me. Is there anything you'd like to ask?" He questioned, curiously. His mind had left the tablet and it's mystery alone, if only for a little while...

Good 'ol Ria high! Well, sort of...

Mizuki peered about herself curiously, grey eyes taking in the sight of the large metal gates that blocked her entrance. She found herself smiling, remembering her last entry to the school. Er, the branch? She'd tried to levitate over, and had ended up face first in the snow. Not a great idea, but she'd improved since then! ...sort of. Her bags were floating behind her at least, in a neat little line. Every now and then, one would try to drift off, but she'd usually catch it and snap it back into place. And all without breaking a sweat!

She was wearing her usual attire, with a couple added pieces. Her billed, black hat kept her ears warm, and a long coat was worn over the light shirt beneath. A pair of black pants tied with an orange belt and a pair of simple shoes finished the look. All in all, it left her feeling a bit chilly in the winter air, but she supposed that was alright. Hopefully she'd be investigating a new dorm soon.

Her hand reached up, tugging her hat a little more securely over her head. Then she threw out her hand in an over-dramatic fashion. The gates lurched open and she stepped forward... then went stumbling backwards as they rebounded and smacked her right back. She tumbled, landing flat on her back, and lay there for a second or two, blinking dumbly. Then, more cautiously this time, she dragged herself up, glanced around in the hopes no one had seen, and marched through the gates with a hand rubbing her sore forehead.

The process was nostalgic. She was greeted by an android, one that demanded papers. Wary of another power backfire, Mizuki ruffled through one of the smallest bags by hand to find them, and handed them over. A couple "thank you"s later, and she was standing at an information table, picking up a map.

Dredd had done this before, he was sure of it. Not just once, but several times before. At least twice but for some reason it was fuzzy, he couldn't completely recall it as if the memory was somewhere he couldn't get to. However his distress was quickly quelled by three things. One, he was at new school where he was certain good times were ahead. Two, new boots. Third he was pretty sure he recognized someone ahead of him opening a gate without actually touching it. Then getting smacked back. He chuckled and trailed silently, following but keeping his distance in case it wasn't who he thought it was. That darn jacket was throwing him off.

As soon as he entered the building he got a nosy android in his face wanting papers, which he presented with a chocolate fingerprint stain on a few papers. He then approached Mizuki from behind, now certain that it was his friend while she looked at a map. He pulled out a small tin of something from his cargo pant-leg pocket. He stood behind her, but slightly to the side and curled past her arm to look at the map. He'd have looked over her shoulder but he wasn't tall enough. He took a couple pieces of some mystery snack from his tin and put them into his mouth.

" I got chocolate covered peanuts." He had chocolate covered peanuts.

Mizuki had unfolded the map and was scanning it for the dorm's location when she heard it; a voice. A very, very familiar voice. She'd had intimate encounters with the owner of this voice, and not the type you're thinking of. Pervert. She'd jumped at first, simply because she hadn't realized anyone was so close, and then a head had suddenly poked around her side. Her head turned next, her eyes widened, and her face lit up at the sight. It was him! But, she had to get past something first.

"Chocolate covered peanuts?" He was a crazy as ever. "You're the nut here!" she added maturely, grinning at him.

"It's rude to sneak up on people," she scolded, even as she reached out and ruffled his hair, careful to avoid his horns. "What are you doing here?" Had he gotten taller? ...no, he was still short. She liked his shirt though. "Did I earn myself a stalker?"

Sun smiled faintly at Blakely, glad there was someone at her new high school nice enough to help her up. "Thank you. I'm... sort of a clutz, if you hadn't gathered." she said, chuckling lightly. Sun introduced herself to the girl and followed after her to talk to the lady asking for papers. She silently handled registering for classes and looked over at Blakely and the person she was talking to. She knew she should go say hello and make some friends, but she chickened out and just stood around awkwardly.

Blakely was surprised when a guy approached her. He was dangerously to close to her, so she stepped back. Blakely quickly scanned the boy, observing his long and choppy platinum blonde hair. He was medium built and tall, towering over her. His clothing choice was a bit questionable, but they weren’t too bad, just not up to Blakely’s high standards. She looked up into his bright blue eyes with sort of a glare. “Actually, I wasn’t going to ask y’all anything. I was just looking around the campus, getting a feel of the type of students they’d have here.” Blakely said sternly.

She fiddled with her jacket zipper and scanned the remaining school grounds. She then noticed the girl she helped up earlier and smiled a warm smile at her, showing her that she’d love for her to walk over there. It might have been an excuse for the male to leave. Or he’d be stubborn like all the other males who saw her.

(( PhoenixRah, where’s your character profile? I was trying to find it but failed epicaly. Now, ima go and find a new picture because I just noticed that someone already had mine, and it’s going to be a real life picture because that is the only anime picture I have that I like. Blahhh :/ ))

"Here are the papers."

Her tall, handsome 'butler' was handling the paperwork. For once, it wasn't her. For once, she wasn't the one taking care of her own documents. Perhaps it was because she had already messed up grievously and could not be trusted with something so simple as retrieving her own student ID.

The human world was not so new to her. Even now, she was adorned in the proper and popular garments known as 'T-shirt,' 'Jeans,' and 'Sneakers.' Such clothes seemed so unfitting for the quality of her white-blonde hair that so resembled a unicorn's mane. The luster of her skin was almost deathly pale, hinting at the chance she could be a ghost or a phantom. Needless to say that she needed a bottle a day... of sunscreen, that is. At least she wasn't openly displaying horns and wings and the dreaded third eye.

She had been here before for many excursions, most involving tasks such as repairing chaos vents in the distortion between reality and alternate realities. Once it was because a spell went terribly awry and her entire squad got teleported into the middle of a shopping mall.

Thinking of them made her chest hurt.

"Milady, your identification is-- ... is--"

"I'm fine, Asheworth." Her hands were hardened into fists, her eyes turned into crystal and glass daggers. Nia picked her slender, petite form off the gnarly roots of the oak tree and dusted off the back of her pants, her fingertips chaffing against the foreign material of her back pockets. Denim... there was a reason denim was not used in clothing in the realm of fae. It was too heavy. How were you supposed to seduce anyone in the woods with your delicate elegance wearing something so HEAVY?

Culture shock ensued.

Her companion was a foot and a half taller than her 4'11 though his thin, lanky frame and feminine face took away all threat. His own gray hood hung off of his pencil of a body and his gray-washed jeans were simply baggy. At his waist was the thick chain and hourglass that marked him a Master Librarian in service to the Court of Roses.

"Let's go." Nia stuck her hands in her pockets and turned away, the wind whipping past her ears and battering her cold expression. Her eyes were so light they were almost white-silver. Maybe the would look more violet in the dark.

Likewise, her guardian's eyes were the same but a gentle, spring green. He directed them at his mistress in question as one of his large, book-roughened hands gripped onto her shoulder to prevent her further escaping.

"But, Milady... School is THAT way."

They stood frozen for nearly half a minute, the leaves brushing by their feet and the thrushes mockingly singing their laments, reminding them of home. Exile was a painful thing. Nia didn't move a muscle, she simply remained there, childishly obdurate against her preordained fate.

"I'm not going." T'was a memorable moment for Asheworth. Oh! A child's first day to pre-school! The unwillingness to separate! It certainly made him smirk a little that she was acting this way especially since he'd actually be working on campus so they'd see eachother daily. Quite luckily she wasn't turned around or he may have lost his head just then with the liberty of his smile. "I'll go back to the Court and talk Titania around. She'll have to see the sense in keeping with her--"

"Says the girl who was confined for clinical insanity for the better part of the last three months. Ahem." He could sense her glaring at the ground and sighed. "Hey..." How do you comfort a girl whose life was imbedded into the military of her people? She didn't want to be comforted. She wanted to fight her way out of her fate, no matter how impossible. What could he say to her, imposed by such an exile?

" it's not permanent."

Even he thought it came out a little lame... though it worked, more or less.

"On one condition. I want one of those Reese's Pieces giant concretes first."

She was so easy to please. He had to smile at that. Nia turned around with a proud, imperious face blazing up at him. Asheworth almost felt badly about wanting to laugh since he could see she was trying not to cry. His hand suddenly reached up from her shoulder and rested onto the top of her head, messing up her lovely, silky hair.

"Right away, Milady." Handing her the little plastic card that she was to carry around at all times, he strode away down the street.

Nia returned to her perch on the root of the oak to scrutinize the effect of her ID picture. The flash glared off of her hair and bleached out good part of her face and shoulders. Some ID this was going to be.

Some school this was going to be...

That was not what Amethya had been expecting. She thought that she was doing the flirting thing right, but if she was why did Vice walk away? She was going to do what she could to read the tablet but it seem that Vice was more interested in cute girls then her.
'What am I supposed to do know, should I go over and continue the conversation or just walk away?' she thought getting more confused by the second. 'Why can't this flirting thing be easier like horse riding or firing a gun. You aim, pull the trigger, and its done with no messy emotion and no confusion.'
Amethya did not really want to be alone so she walked over the girl that had been following Blakely. "Hello, I am Amethya a new student in this school," she introduced with as much kindness as she could interject into her voice.

" Well I'm filled up with enough of them." He replied, a smile forcing it's way onto his face as his hair was ruffled. Which probably made the mess look better now " I wasn't sure if it was you or not!" He said, bouncing in place, exited that he was in the company of friends already. " I'm going to school here now, and also, no." His tone dropping and smile fading, but then quickly returning with a sly curl. " But I did see you earn a boot to the head from the gate! It was all Woosh! Then you were all 'ack!' " He said with exaggerated hand gestures. " It was an awesome failure man. Out of one in ten I'd give it about a B minus since you didn't fall on your butt." Dredd reminded himself to get one of those fancy flip camera's, since he was here he was sure to see some interesting thing and people falling down.
