The lights began to serve out of control after they hit the wall where the portal was. Kitara and Riana moved back slightly in fear. THe larger phoenix remained as it was. As the portal began to widen, darkness could be seen on the otherside. Suddenly, a figure cloaked in pure silver appeared. Behind it was one other cloaked in a dark reddish-black. The cavern seemed to hold it's breath. It was time.

Karin held her breath as she leapt forward, and was somewhat surprised to find he didn't grab her. He didn't really even to attempt though, and instead just stood up straight. She blinked several times and stumbled for a second after landing, but forced herself to keep going. She was breathing hard through her mouth now, taking short gasping breaths. She was exhausted and beaten, and she seemed to be moving pretty much on will power now. But she kept repeating in her mind how close she was to the edge of the forest, and that kept her racing forward. And a moment later, she broke out of the trees, shutting her eyes quickly from the change in lighting. She blinked them back open though, changing direction towards the church. She didn't even risk looking back, scared that he'd be right there, just waiting for her to slip up. Though, she found it strange that she didn't hear the sound of his footsteps following. Had he finally given up?

[Because of your last line... I suppose my next post will be at the church? ^^;]

As the two lights stepped close to the portals edge, Kitara and Riana began to pace in frustration. The larger Phoenix moved forward, purring. My children... As the lights settled on the ground, the portal abruptly closed. Kitara and Riana moved forward.

As both lights dimmed, the animals held their breaths. The silver light fell first. It was Kira but she appeared different. A black streak fell down her hair on the left. She also had a scar. It was on the left side of her neck and stretched from her shoulder to her chin. Ria was the one in the other light. She was different too. SHe had a black streak inher hair on the right side. She also had a scar that went from the middle of her neck to her cheek bone. That wasn't all. In her arms, there were two children. One was a boy and the other was a girl. Both were exact copies of their mother but for their eyes. They were pure black. They all had something in common though. THey were all as naked as the day they were born.

Kira was the first who fell to her knees. She was weary and tired. Taking a deep breath, she looked up and smiled toward Kitara. "Kitara..." Her voice was shot. Kitara instantly moved forward. Kira! You are back! She nuzzled the young woman gently in happiness. Kira held on tightly to her old friend.

Ria on the other hand was stroking Riana with a bright smile. Her children looked to be about 5 or 6. Both were looking around suspiciously. They had never been outside before. Ria laughed softly down at them. She was no longer evil but still the darkness was there. "Now now Sadora. Sena. Be good. This is our real home." The boy looked up. Ria kneeled down by him. "Yes Sena?" "Is Papa here?" Ria's eyes went dark instantly and she saw Kira come next to her. It was Kira who spoke. "Yes Sena. Your papa's here but he is a very bad man. Hope you never meet him." Sena nodded solemnly.

Kira looked at the Phoenix then and smiled. "Father... We missed you dearly." The phoenix purred softly. And I you my children. Come you need clothing. Ria smiled happily and nodded. Both stepped in close so that the flame ran along their bodies. It didn't hurt though. When they stepped out, they were dressed in their usual clothes that they always wore before.

Yuki followed behind Michio. She looked around nervously. " Um... Michio... I don't have a particularly good feeling about this forest... " she said, running to keep up with him. Every time there was a loud noise Yuki jumped. The forest was dark and hardly had any light.

Meanwhile the demon had overheard the little conversation in Michio's mind.

" I have some interesting news for you Yuki. "

" I'm not in a very good mood right now. "

" Well I just overheard a little conversation in Michio's mind... something about that girl named Ria... and a hot spring... and them in it together... "

Yuki felt heartbroken. That meant that Michio might have had some sort of relationship with Ria before. She might have been more than just "a friend".

" I'll just act as if nothing happened for now... but when we get to the school I think i'll let you take over from there. "

" Excellent... "

Good, you fly ahead and see if anyone there is in need of help, Michio thinks to Good and Evil in his mind. I need to fill in Yuki on what has happened.

Understood, Good says back. The next thing you know, it looked like an angel popped out of Michio's head and flew off into the forest.

Oh no no no... I'm going too, Evil thinks to Michio. After that, it would look like some form of demon pooped out of Michio's head and flew off after the angel.

Michio turned to Yuki. "I guess I need to explain a few things to you. No secrets. Those two were my consiouses. You know, the cliche Shoulder Angel and Shoulder Devil. They are in love with the two we are going to see. They are separate people born of my young and large imagination. Their feelings in no way effect my own."

Good reached the cave first and said. "Hello?" He says into the cave.

Evil flew past him into the cave. "Yo?"

Evil looked around the room. "I came to welcome you too back and this is the thanks I get? I mean warm welcomes are so hard to come by now a days..."

Good came flying in after Evil. "Warm welcome? You're here for Ria."

"Yes, and I know you have similar feelings for Kira, but you waited for Michio to tell you to come here before you left his mind, I came of my own free will."

"That's because I can wait for things! You rush into everything you do!" Good yelled. He turned to the girls. "Sorry about that, I'm the one sent to be your warm welcome and to see if you are in need of any help. Michio will be along shortly."

"Yeah. The fool finally got himself a girlfriend."

"Thank you," Good said, flying over to Kira and grabbing his book. He absorbed it back into himself. He looked down and saw a child, no, two children. He froze.

Evil saw the children too. They were starting at him. "Umm, why are the small children staring at me?"

Good looked back at Kira. He whispered. "I think I know who the father is... Michio and I were afraid of this..."

"What are you whispering about? This is getting a little creepy."
