That's nothing compared to the stuff I see paging through the class build forums on the wizards.com site. Those people treat it like an MMO, where you're worthless unless your character is as cheap as it can possibly be. That's not what it's about.
I might play around with making it cheap, but I usually stick to the basic class sets, don't go into the really obscure books looking for cheap as hell things, or use monsters as a race. It's more fun to see what you can do with the basic rules than to go digging up supplemental rulesets and abusing cheap rules.
I'm still just laughing about Steve's abuse of the spiked chain, trip, and disarm abilities. In his own words "I've realized the value in making sure that your opponent is either holding a weapon or standing, but not both at the same time."
