Shadow walked through the main area with his hood down s that no one would confuse him for not belonging there. He the only 'lugage' he had with him, was the glasses, which he put into a small leather satchel and tied to him by a thin rope that he slung over his shoulder acrossed his chest. I was on his left shoulder, and his right side, by his hip and under his jacket and the black duster. He spoke to no one and made no noise as he headed for the front door.

He saw the Phalanx team heading into the simuator room. One of the two girls was singing while the second followed. They didnt seem to notice him departing, which was ok. He'll be back eventually. He wasn't to sure when though.

[[I go out to sea for a week tomorrow, then back for a few days, then out again. Ill post about my mission when I can. See you all later. Bye.]]

Cynthia giggled. "So, miss. What happened to your face? Looks like a nasty bruise will form. And what's up with this guy? Why was he running? Did you catch him? Is that why you have the mark on your face? Was it him?" This question a mile a minute would make anyone go crazy.

"I guess this sums up my active team," Steven replied wryly. "So, what have you got set up back there, and is it diabolical? If so, how come? If not, how come? If it is diabolical, are there beasts of prey? If not, are there men with guns? If not, are there robots with guns? If not, are there just plain robots? If not, are there air strikes? If so, are they made by MIGs or Sabres? If neither, how 'bout Phantoms? If not... Ah, I've run out of questions. Just tell me about it," Steven requested with a chuckle.

Brian grinned widely, and pattet the captains Hip.
"Ok, i guess we give Doveboy and his weird fox a few minutes after all. So, let's see for the questions...something nice, yes, because I have set it up, yes, also, maybe, no, definitively, I prefer Yellowjackets, but we will have to see, Phantoms are way out of line, their entire design sucks, but whatever...."
He grinned, and lit a cigarette.
"Sooo.... to put the technology in a nutshell, I am using nanites. Nanites are actually tiny tiny robots that work like the Lego Bricks. You remember lego? Good. Same principle. You can stick several of them together, and have about everything you want. I fear that is far as I can go for the people that are not fammiliar with the tech. So, to complete your confusion, the nanites are not actually single computers. Basically, they could be, but the heat would melt them. So, to drive around that problem, I have hacked together several handbuilt machines. If I had to guess, we have about the same ammount of calculating cappacity as 1200 Cray computers, if you know..... I think I could even mirror googles entire traffic and not come into any sweat. So, now Imagine the whole room filled with tiny little nanites as a single machine. I can tell that machine what it has to look like, and the nanites make that machine. basic collective intelligence behavior, but it gets better. The nanites are also very very powerhungry, but their coolest feature is, because they are even smaller then a single particle of dust, they can easily break down and devour material, because ..."
Brian thought about it for a minute, and sucked on his cigarette deeply.
"because they can. Easy as that, or you will have to get a shitload of information about Particle physics. Believe me, this s**t is not pretty. Also, the nanites can buy things out of other stuff, simply by shoving the correct atoms and particles together like Lego bricks. "
He grinned, and sucked on his cigarette once again, releasing a bit of smoke.
"Well, it was obvious to me that this calculating power could not be spend unnoticed, so i simply hooked up the computers to the room, uploaded a bit of a nasty 3d rendering software, and a good scanner, and whoops, here we have our training room. "
He grinned, and sucked the last bit on his cigarette, then snipping it away in the stone corridor. He pulled a new one of his pack, lit it, and looked at the Team.
"So, to put it together,if I find that you can do anything that my training room can not calculate, then by good, do it. Basically, you will be acting in a bubble made up by nanites, with a good thick wall of nanites around you. If you can manage it, think of me as an architect, and of the training room as my personal matrix. As far as the scenario goes, you will do a mission in the war with the best soundtrack ever, and there will be all kinds of obstacles to overcome..... So, any questions till now?"
He looked in the round of faces, and waited for any kind of question.

Steven shook his head. He could ask questions, and he'd probably understand the answers, but he wouldn't like them. Probably overly wordy for things that weren't too complicated. Oh well.

"So you're not going to tell us anything about the scenario?" Steven asked. "I mean, even a team deployed under high secrecy has some idea what their mission is, what they're up against, and what they have on hand. I mean, if I can call in a Phantom - yes, a Phantom, I like 'em cause they're fast - or a Thunderhead or whatever, I need to know it. Will we be encountering armor? Is there even a vague potential of marksmen or snipers? This kinda thing is important."

Azora unplugged on of her ears free of the blasting white plug and listened to the situation, and as far as she knew, there were things to destroy and thats all that matters. There would be bugs, that were pretty strong, and they could build together like ants, it was perfect, because she was the queen of bugs. She also wondered two things, if they were soundproof, and if this situation would be as close to a real situation as possible, they wouldn't know if there were snipers of marksman, so their captain was an idiot. IDIOT!!! Though she didn't tell them out loud, Hell's Season was ending soon, and Red and Black was about to play. The violin sounded, the eerie sound filled her ears and then, like as if in a story, the music fit perfectly with their situation.

Brian grinned, and lit his third cigarette in a third time, this time mentally noting a point for the captain.
"Ok, I can guess that this time, the points go towards you. So, the scenario-briefing....."
he straightened his back, and looked at his handheld, which was filled with a lot of cryptical messages, and loading bar.
"Yes, I believe you have the right to a briefing , but just a short one, to not get you out of the mood.
Ladies and gentlemen, we live in an information age. what the public sees is what the public believes. Mishaps is perhaps the best proof for that. We operate, as an agency, with a few higher officials of the world, for complete political neutrality. We never take any sides, and our attacks never count as attacks of us, but as attacks from our pay-giver. We generally keep to ourself, and it is good like that.
Now, in the following scenario, I have suspected a maximal growth rate. Mishaps becomes one of the leading "agencies", and is even allowed to officially have some satelites in space, which in reality, we can neither confirm nor deny. With the launch of one of the many gouverment controlled satelites, we pick up the one thing that we dislike the most. A portal signal that is not of our own. It is weak, it only lasts for a few seconds, but who knows what could have come through.
Mishap officials could pinpoint the signal to be in one of two major points, both very close, and both lying in the demilitarized zone of Korea. "
He grinned a bit, but continued.
"As for now, you only know, mishaps has only sent in one discovery team. You. Which mainly describes the why and how of your report sheet card. You have the last known positions of the signal, you have the equipment to detect anything and promptly report it, and you have the very ....."
He grinned bitterly, and used his fingers as quotation marks.
""pretty please with extra sugar", yes, that's the word, to kill or incarcerate anything that could have possibly come through, and detect why a portal has manifested. To summ it up, you are the official scouts team.
For the sake of your simulated sanity, if I open that door, you will just, in reality, go to the room behind it. In Simulation, if I open the door, ingame, you will go to the office of her majestys secret service in South Korea, to get a briefing on the usual suspects. If I close the door, the simulation has started. Just for your information.... has anybody taken a good look at the recent video games? yes, good. Now, just for your preperation, think pacman to todays videogames. You have it? Now, double the distance, double the rate of progress, and plot a point from the point of todays video games, following said rules,on the other side of the graph. That is the level of realism you will be dealing with. Any more questions?"
He looked around, and lit a fourth cigarette.
"Ok, let's give doveboy this one.... if he can't get his pasty a** up till then, we are going to start without him. "

Matt hops steps out of the area he was standing in, "So you know, I heard everything." Him and Konna are both wearing some of his own light tech that hides their signals and vitals, pretty much it was a lightweight kind of cameo. "So, will we get moving right away." He and Konna have on their weapons, dual swords, a sniper for Matt, a bow for Konna, and their armor. Other than that they have the basic supplies they would use for camping plus some extras such as trip wires and small low grade sensors which link up to his scouter.

"It seems that the teleporter is pretty much ready." Hrisskar said to Anima, while striding over to the table and strapping the backpack to his back, checking the fastenings as he went. Making sure the safety was on, he placed the AKMS and several clips for it down on the metal surface with a clunk, and proceded to pick up one of the swords.

"A sword huh? Never really had much practice with blades, apart from my long knives. I suppose I'll have to learn quickly, if we're going into a combat situation. But in all honesty, I'd much prefer to be watching from a distance, down the PSO-1 scope of my Dragunov." He grinned, and went to stand beside Anima, watching the psuedo-Sotako at work.

"Hrisskar, just don't miss and hit me. Cause I am a close range to mid range guy. Let me tell you now. If you hit me, you'll be missing an arm in a matter of seconds." Anima grinned and punched Hrisskar's arm lightly. "Kay buddy?"

"Alright then, good," Steven replied. He honestly had no idea what a portal was, and he was about to ask, when he thought better of it. This would just be a simulation, and it was kind of important to him to be able to operate in the blind. So without any idea of what a portal could be, nor what his foes could be, he'd be proving himself twice over, a fact he'd only reveal towards the end. For dramatic effect.

"So, fellas, we're ready to go, right? I want eyes peeled already, and I want to see weapons loaded and at the ready." As though to emphasize his point, Steven gave the side of his P90 a bit of a slam with his left palm. "Wherever we're off to, we're going in hot." A thread of steel ran through his voice, and a commanding air was behind it. This was not a voice you could ignore so easily.

"What, you'd hit an old guy? Damn kids these days." Hrisskar laughed. "C'mon, shall we have a spar or two while the teleporter is still charging?"
