"I'd heal you up, but that thing's got some security measures to it if anyone takes magic right from the source. The pillar likes to know if its magic is going to be used for wrong doing or something. I don't know how it does it, but it takes its damn time doing so and cuts off all the person's magic until it's satisfied. So you'll have to settle for healing the old fashioned way for about a month or so." Van said in a bit of an annoyed grumble, having forgotten about such a detail before.

"I know, I'll be careful. I just got off my deathbed, I'm not ready to fling myself into danger just yet." Van said as he began to head out of the cave. "Just means you two can't go getting yourself mortally wounded for a while either, since I'm not healing anyone for a while."

"I'll try, though you know me; I'm a giant magnet for trouble." Van said with a chuckle. "On the plus side though, it all leaves me with a nifty tattoo until I get my powers back." he said opening his shirt to show off an ancient rune that had appeared over his heart.
