Due to Nathan grabbing Alex at the last minute, she landed on top of him, and took the opportunity of being on top to keep his face buried in the dirt.

Trig began to laugh, watching them fight.
"Looks like you're going to get beat by a woman, Nate~" he called, as Nathan reacted to it..
...Nearly jumping out of the dirt in pure rage, picking Alex up and throwing her a good distance away..

"Well I was trained by the best." Alex chuckled with Trig moments before Nathan had thrown her. Not even she could do anything to stop that, or how she landed. All she could do was curl up into a ball so less damage was done as she skidded across the ground.
"...Someone's getting cranky~" She cooed, standing up and looking back at Nathan with a cocky smirk.
"What's the matter, boy? Don't like the thought of a girl winning?"

Almost instantly, Nathan was directly in front of Alex. He had sprinted after her when she was thrown, and was about to deliver a solid kick to her head when he stopped.
...Or WAS stopped.
Both Slade and Morris were in the way.
Morris caught the leg.
Slade had his knife to this throat.

Alex had already ducked down to avoid the kick, seeing it coming. But even she knew she ran a bit late, and if the kick had continued, he would have most likely nicked the top of her head.
When the nicking didn't come, she looked up at Morris and Slade, her eyebrow going up with the rest of her body.
"...Uh... Guys..? Why..? What..?" She stuttered, confused about their inference.

Alex immediately looked at Nathan with a cold glare after Trig had explained to her what the kick could have done. Nathan's response only made the glare colder, and narrower.
"That's all you have to say for almost killing me because you were losing a stupid fight?"
