Up here in the states, we're dealing with a President attempting to implement universal health care. It's, ah, been a troubled release so far. Faulty website (that somehow cost millions of dollars to make), glitchy systems, revelation of mass lying. It supposedly needs about seven million people to be viable - and if history is any guide, terrible management will make the actual number much higher.
The number of people who signed up for this landmark, ultra-comprehensive, super-huge legislation on the first day was... six. XD I don't think I've seen something fail that hard since Yatsuda was hitting on Ryofu.

Supposedly, it's an attempt to get everyone comprehensive coverage. By "comprehensive", they mean "you must buy coverage for a lot of things that are not applicable to you in order to pay for everyone else". The actual end result is a closer to "pay a lot more, get a lot less", especially for younger people who've had a recession at the start of their careers and basically don't have good jobs or income because the entire economy tanked on them when they needed it.
The whole thing's been an incredible mess. XD;
