Neko stormed after him, obviously beyond reason by this point. "You're the hunter leader, reign your God damn people in! I'm just trying to look out for my own, but apparently you hunters are too wrapped up in your petty notions of right and wrong, not to mention vengeance and justice, that you can't even help someone who's lent unwavering support to you in the past!"

Something in Neko snapped that hadn't snapped before. She'd gone on rampages before in hot anger, ripping through buildings and inanimate objects and dishing out huge amounts of damage to people and things. But never before and her anger gone ice cold like this, and underneath her anger, she feared it would make her do something she would regret.

Her arm lashed out at Will, grabbing his shoulder again. He would fix this now, or pay the consequences. She ignored the fact that she was being childish, that he obviously did have other things to do. But this needed to be fixed before more people got hurt and killed.

He'd had enough. He didn't think. He just reacted. With speed normal humans could barely see, he brought his foot up and around in a vicious roundhouse kick, burying it firmly in the Tainted elder's gut. Neko was sent flying away from him to sprawl in a heap several feet away. Will practically snarled at her, his anger at being denied from going to his family's side loosening almost all of his restraint and reason. "******** it, I told you that I bloody well don't know what the flaming hell you're talking about!"

Turningone last time, he sprinted across the street towards his wife and child,raising a hand to wave as he called to them. "LYDIA! AURORA! LYDS, IT'S ME! I'M BACK!"

Seeing his wife raise her head and turn to face him, he smiled at her. His mind was exhausted from the ordeals of the past months. All he could think about was getting to Lydia. Then he could stop and deal with Neko's problem.

Will stopped dead in his tracks, eyes gone wide. Looking down, he could see a clawed hand protruding out from a hole in his chest. What? What happened? Why was there no pain? Intellectually, Will knew that he was in shock, but intellectual thought tends to leave a person's mind after they've been impaled from behind.

Blood rising up into his throat and mouth, the hunter stumbled forward, the hand and forearm leaving his torso with a wet, sucking sound. Turning slowly, body trembling with the effort to stay standing, William turned to face his attacker. Blood bubbled out of his lips, making his tongue red and slick with his own vital liquids as he forced out the name of the person who'd done this, someone he'd always considered a friend. "N-n-n *hack* ne *cough* ko?"

As soon as Lydia heard her name, she turned and ran towards her husband. It was sure too good to be true, for him to be here right now just as she was thinking of him. "Will!" she shouted back, estatic, but stopped dead as a hand suddenly slammed through his chest.

Lydia watched in horror as Neko maimed the man she loved, stopped and unable to move. When Neko screamed, however, the psychic regain use of her legs.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" she screamed, even louder than Neko had. Rushing foward again, Lydi pulled up her pistol, still out from her earlier confrontation, and loosed the whole clip at Neko in anger, sadness, and desperation.

Neko barely even grimaced as a few bullets from the clip hit her. Not even thinking, she ran, her injuries hardly even registering now as tears streamed from her eyes.

Oh my God...what have I done?!
