She closed her eyes. At least that made her feel better. Neither wanted a repeat of what happened last time.
"So we both want the same thing..."

If that was what she was after, then they both wanted the same thing. As for watching who he slept with, he had a pretty good idea that it wouldn't matter how much he watched that, sooner or later, he was going to sleep with the wrong person.

She smirked. She'd let him have that one. Bottomline was: the safety of this baby and preventing what happened last time from happening again. Hopeing was bad.
Peering up at him, she simply kissed him and hugged him close.

He returned her kiss passionatly before pulling away from her.
"We're having a baby"
He exclaimed, sounding exited about it. The miracle of the child growing inside her hadn't escaped him. This time, he promised himself, he'd make sure nothing went wrong.

She nodded, and couldn't help but grin. they were having a baby. And she could remember this one. Plus they had more hands in helping the kid out then they did before with Alexis.
"Yea we are having a baby."
She kept smiling because Joe was too cute when he was excited about something...something that wouldn't get him killed anyway.

Somehow, the entire thing seemed surreal to him. Alexis was a grown woman after all, to have a sibling from him wouldn't be as weird as having the same mother. It showed how young they had been when he'd gotten her pregnant the first time, the only other occasion neither of them had used protection.
Back then, he hadn't known who he was, now he did and with it came the revelation that he couldn't sleep with Raven for the next 9 months, or at least, not until he had fed on someone else. It sucked.
If that hadn't been enough, the memory of what happened last time returned. He'd found out what he was after Alexis was born, and without a thought of how wrong it might be, had slept around, something which had eventually lead to the loss of Raven's memories.
Now, it meant that he'd have to be careful whom he slept with. He was willing to try, though he doubted his ability to control himself. Time with Domina had ensured that he'd feed whenever he could regardless of who the person was.
"We're having a baby.. "
He repeated stunned and no longer as excited as he had been before about it.

Raven smirked. Alexis hadn’t found out just yet and she was to be a big sister. Oh life was getting interesting by the minute.
She watched Joe’s expression, listening to his voice and doubt crept back in. Doubt was being evil to her lately. She knew she asked a lot of him to guard who he slept with…but of course she wasn’t sure he really could that and not starve.
She really hadn’t expected him to even think about trying to be in the baby’s life. See? Doubt really was being evil.
“Joe?”
She asked, her tone flat for just not revealing what was going through her head.

"Hm?"
He asked as though nothing was wrong. Nothing would be wrong for her, he'd do his best to ensure that. Letting go of her, he spoke again.
"Just having a few problems coming to terms with you being pregnant again, it'll pass"
He assured her, suddenly holding his coffee cup again, almost like it was a security blanket, and maybe it was.

She grabbed her glass of juice and drank it all before she turned back to him.
"Second thoughts?"
She asked, only a little curious to what went through his mind.

"Second thoughts aren't going to change what happened"
He smiled at her as he spoke. The last thing he wanted to do was make her feel uncomfortable, or give the impression that he was going to bail.
"It just came as a surprise.. guess it means I shouldn't go out drinking anymore.. "
He admitted, dropping the vaguest of hints as to why he was in her kitchen rather than at his place.
"I need to talk to Arioch"
He suddenly informed her, putting the cup down and kissing her brifly before fleeing the kitchen in favour of knocking at Arioch's door.

Raven smiled softly to herself as she got more juice and remained in the kitchen.
Arioch hummed softly as he made his way back from the library and blinked as Joe knocked on his door.
"Come prepared with a little offering I hope?" He chuckled, teasing the other demon a little.

He turned around to see Arioch walking towards him. He'd expected to see the demon behind the door not coming towards him.
"Depends on your concept of 'offering'"
He responded before closing the space between them and hugging the older demon, planting a kiss on his cheek as he did so.

Arioch smirked and was tempted to ask him about the said offering before he blinked, rather innocently.
"Thanks for what?"
He asked, folding his wings a little, puzzled a bit.

His answer was most likely too vague for Arioch, yet, without being entirely sure of what had happened, how much of what had happened was real and how much was just an illusion, vagueness was defiantly the better option.

Arioch just smiled at him and nodded. He felt touched and it would have bothered him if it was anyone else that said it other then Song and Joe. But Joe told him it so he didn't worry.
"Of course." He too was being rather vague. So not arioch like.
