Well I government did almost shut down a week or so ago. (might have been two weeks) Some of the people in congress are the only reason it is still up and running.
The "recession" the country is going threw is very minor (compared to other in history from other country and our own.) and is mostly due to big businessmen manipulating the system. The recession was brought on by far more than a few bad politicians.

Actually most of it started in Bush SR.'s command, Bill Balanced it, but made it favorable to large corporations, Bush Jr. was doing good until Kuwait got into trouble, then he started spending heavily on the war, and it's been a down hill slide from there.
Yeah, I heard about that, that would have been baaaaad. xD I think that other countries were laughing hysterically. I mean honestly, we're to the point we almost had to shut down? Ha! even as an american I laugh at it.

You do know that war stimulates a economy right?
Other country's were probably astounded that our country had the sense of mind to keep up our government running. Our government is very expensive to run and the fact that we can keep it going even during a rough patch is a very formidable feat.

I'd argue that the recession was caused largely due to the trillions of dollars the government has been flinging around uselessly for the last couple years. Stimulus? Billions of dollars meant to aid in rebuilding the economy, right? So where did it go? Well, I hear some research group studying the breeding habits of ants got a few million. And there's been a lot of road construction going on. Other than that... Not so much.
In 2006 we bought two new trucks, a motorcycle, and a barn. Plus a boom truck, but that may have been a bit later, maybe 2007. In 2010, we bought a sardine can of a car, to save on gas. The reason for this change? In 2006, business was booming. We couldn't keep up with the jobs we had to do. In 2010, we hadn't done a single job since mid-2009.
@Havik: Not hard to keep the government running during a recession when that's where ALL of the money is going. Check out the menu that Obama is eating next month when they go on their monthly vacation. Using the Air Force One to get there of course. Not to mention all the secret service. And golf course fees. (Remember, Obama has to rent about 20 carts when he goes golfing so the SS can follow him! (They won't let him take SUVs on the green anymore.))

The vacations and things that Obama goes are paid for, the places he stays, all the things he gets are paid for and further stimulate the economy. Not that I think he should be doing these things but a lot of what he tries to do just gets shot to hell. Stimulus was given to parents, my mom just randomly got like 900 bucks in the mail (Or something like that idk how much it was I don't pay much attention to money.) It was used to simulate the economy assuming people spent it. The problem was that there aren't many places to create jobs.
I do understand things are rough but people don't take any responsibility for it. All the people who are elected to position of power are chosen by people who vote (Me not being one of them, I have yet to ever see a politician and agree with them.)
The government is paying for me to learn to become a Carpenter, and will problem hire me for construction jobs. So not everything they spend isn't in the wrong place... but the ant breeding thing... wth...

Ummm... Do you not realise that most colleges can operate on the tuition they charge alone? They only recieve government funding in bulk once a year, as soon as they blow that ( Which they do ) they nurse off of their own personal stores of cash.
I agree that people should actually learn what they are voting for, and who they are voting for, but that's not the case. Did you know that about six out of ten people in our capital, IN OUR CAPITAL, can't say the Pledge of Allegiance, or even the national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner? That is how much we've come to rely on congress. We've basically thrown away almost all of our governmental intelligence, and made ourselves open to sleeze ball politicians to make comercials so that we watch them from our comfortable couch grooves, and listen to their lies. And then whenever we dicide to get up and get more food from a greasy fas food resturant, we notice it is election day, and vote for the politician who's lies sounded the best! Sometimes not even that one, and the one we can remember, even if he didn't lie and just stated he would run us into the ground!
( I do not hate fast food, I love it. especially chinese, the most notorious greasy food there is! but I hate fish. )
and I know that not everyone is that stupid, but honestly, Half of america can not say the Pledge, Star Spangled Banner, or even the actual name of our country! ( The acronym USA doesn't count. )

Yep! If an academy student wants to remain a student, that's fine, but if they want to be a genin, they can do that too. The higher ranks have the right to test the new genin pretty much however they please before letting them go out on their own.

Just show up anywhere that's not sealed away inaccessible. Optimum locations are those near other RPCs, and higher ranks are convenient, as you could get more training or take a test. I think Duck's in the hospital if you can come up with an excuse to go there.

Azeiel The Fallen Well where should I introduce my character then. He is now a gennin any ideas. I am supposed to train him with duck but I dont know where he is. Start at the academy and head to the training grounds. Deidalus will be out of the hospital soon and then he'll head there. Edit: Feel free to send me a PM and I'll get back to you when I can.
