The mana blast hit Xepher in the leg as he dodged it, weakening his entire battle strategy. He felt shamefully unprepared. "Agh." He fell through the shadow on the ground. "But I still owe you for helping my sister...?"

"Forget about it! Just go!" He said as his puppet shot dozens of grapples into the cieling, beggining to cause the roof to collapse. "Your sister should be with Kuroi! Find her first!"

"Very well, I bid you a comrades luck." Xepher didn't want to admit it but Dai Wei was right. Even if he did stay to fight, he wouldn't have enough energy to even get out. So a few minutes later, he floated out of Kuroi's shadow with an irritated expression. "That Dai Wei fellow seems to be finishing off the situation back there himself. Where's Melody?"

Kuroi turned to Xepher. "She should be with Debido right now. Quite the smitten one." he said with a smirk.
Sure enough, Debido still embracing Melody with a smile, staring into her eyes.
Kuroi heard a distant rumbling. Turning around he saw the palace crumble to the ground. "What the hell?!" Kuroi said, stopping and staring in awe at his old home turn to ruin.

Melodys eyelids were heavier than usual, she was having a lot of trouble keeping them up. "Debido I'm... so tired." Blood was dripping down her hair from the place where her skull hit the dungeon wall.
Xepher turned away from the Prince and spotted Mell and Debido. For some reason he felt a rush of protective worrying. But just as he was rushing over ready to say something, he realized that he had no reason to. X still wondered why Dai wei asked him to find Melody.

Debido, noticing this, conjured up a small amount of water. "Shhh.....just relax. You're ok now." he said as the water traced up her blood, to the wound and healed it.
Kuroi, sensing Xepher's thoughts, seemed to be thinking back on something from his childhood, and his encounter with Dai Wei. "Hmmmm....yes, ever the curious one."

Mell followed his orders willing and let out a sigh as the cool water stroked her wound and relieved her migraine. For a moment, she forgot about being entirely stoic.
Xepher grimaced at his sisters opening up to someone besides himself. And that reminded X, he had another sister to watch over now too. "Well then where's harmony?" He asked turning back to his rival prince.

"Probably underground. I ordered Yuure to make sure everyone got to this spot unharmed." Kuroi said.
As Mell's wounds finished healing, her leaned in and tenderly kissed her lips. As he did, the water went rushing to the ground and the injury had recovered. "There. All better?" he asked caringly.
At this display of affection, Kuroi remembered something. "Hmmm....we need to find Shina and that earth spirit." he said, more to himself than the group.

Melody didn't answer him, instead she kissed him back again, succumbing to temptation.
Xepher grimaced at his sisters weakness. He tried to stay focused on Harmony, "Oh so she'll be... wait, underground? What do you mean underground?" Xephers right eye squinted: Oo

"I mean just that, underground. When Yuure led us to escape, she did what is normally done, and phased through the ground, where we're safe from enemy attacks."

Harmony had closed her eyes shut tight--she was a little clausterphobic and phasing into dirt was nothing close to a holiday.
Shina groaned in her sleep calling out for Kuroi---since it was also her heart trying to reach out to him, his heart may respond as though she had just called him--though at the same time he may simply wave it off as his imagination..
Sugar opened her eyes and jumped and then waved through the dirt in the phased state, amusing herself no doubt.

Kuroi, sensing something, began to quicken his scanning the earth for the small air hole the earth spirit had made for his and Shina's hideout.
