The fox blinked at him, still not uncurling from its furry ball.
Nyl came back out of the kitchen with her tea, once again not sure what chaos Hunter and Seph might cause alone.

He looked up at Nyl with a smile still on his face, then repositioned himself so he was upright. He looked at the mug in Nyl's hands. "Something different, you say?" He grinned.

He nodded, "Didn't know we had any.. Not that it would've done me any good. I'm a very basic tea-maker." He nodded his head to the side, looking back at the fox then reached out slowly to pet it.

The fox watched Seph's hand closely, but didn't move away.

Whew. There was a milestone passed. He began to stroke the fox's fur, but hesitated once he touched it.
What? You're troubled.
You don't feel it?
It's because it's a fox, moron. Do you see nine tails?

He smiled and continued to pet the small creature.

-Reeve sighs one last time, crumpling the letter in his fist. He takes a last tear-stained look at the world around him, gripping the kunai tightly. This was it. From its sheath on the boy's back, the Seraph Talon seemed to hum, a meloncholy tune which seemed the essence of ways parted. A goodbye to its master-

Once they were shaped he'd have them melt and start over *

Seph ignored the protector, quickly trying to locate the source of this chakra. It only took a few seconds.

Nyl jumped up at the sound of the thunderclap. The fox did, too, disappearing somewhere behind the couch.
What in the world... She went over to the door and opened it, looking outside.

His eyes widened. "I'll be right back." And he was gone, a small whisp of smoke in his place. Seph's body reformed a few feet from Reeve's quickly-deminishing Chakra source. "Reeve!"
