You get Shin Splits when you run on a field then on pavement alot. xDD;; I do that alot in Lacrosse.
You can get shin splits on your shin down to your foot, I have it on my shin. Its not deadly or anything, it just hurts when I run and sometimes when I walk.

I used to have shin splints when I played feild hockey, but now I don't need them anymore cause I had to stop playing because I was in a car accident and broke my ankle, arm and collar bone a few years back.
