Tomo nodded and looked back towards the kitchen. "I could make you a sandwich. Kinda hot out, so I'd rather not heat up the stove if I don't have to." He suggested as his eyes fell on Cass. Her perked his ears and smiled, walking over, "Sweet, you didn't have to get me anything." He said, feeling the present with his fingers. He didn't say anything, but the humidity was making it even more difficult to see than usual. "I'll open it when I'm done here, okay?"

Artemis smiled at the two. "Thanks Tomo... I'll be happy to have a sandwich. Let me just clean up a bit." She nodded and slipped on her sandals. They were warm from the sun and dry. She walked up the stairs and into the bathroom.

"Don't be ridiculous. I had to..' she replied, granting him a quick smooch. She plopped herself onto a couch, and sighed. "So.. muggy..." Cass complained, as she fanned herself with a hand.

After preparing the sandwich, Tomo walked back over to the present and picked it up, following Cass over. "Let's see what we have." He murmured, sitting on the arm of the couch and unwrapping it. His tail wagged anxiously, excited to see what was inside.

Ukaia came downstaris in a tank top and pair of shorts. Her hair braided and she groaned
"Wayyy to hot" she panted softly

In the first layer of the box was a small, black, and velvet box. In the bottom of the box was a very large plastic bag, containing massive amounts of none other than cat-n**. But, not yet finished, in the very bottom of the box was a piece of paper, that told Tomo to look in the closet under the stairs for the last part of his present. Cass bit her lip in anticipation, her tail wagging, as she waited for his response to it all.

Tomo looked in the box and his eyes widened. He instantly plugged his nose to keep the heavy scent away from his sanity. He read the note and smiled, quickly closing the box. He stood up, the lingering scent of catnip in the air making him stumble quite a bit. Slowly, he opened the closet door with a curious expression.

Cass's eyes also went loopy, as she carefully trotted after him. "I've already tested it out.. I couldn't resist." she said, looking over his shoulder at the grand carpet-covered cat-stand. It had roughly 6 or 7 landings, all the way up the post, and one closed in bed at the bottom. "I know it's goofy.." she cooed, stepping back with a smile, as her tail slowly wagged, and her ears lay flat on her head.

Tomo shook his head and kissed her cheek, "I think you're pretty goofy." he said, tail linking in hers. He turned around and looked back at the box, noticing a small velvet one he'd missed in his delirium. He picked it up and felt it over before opening it.

Cass bit her lip, eyes already watering just a bit. Inside the box was the gold band that had taken her quite a while to find.. But, with some help from Ellie, she'd brought it back.. CAss took a cautious step forward, attempting to see his reaction. Had it been disrespectful to bring back his wedding ring? She wasn't sure.. and her heart seemed to freeze, waiting to see how he'd act.

Tomo froze up for a second, running his finger over the soft metal. Calmly, and with no smile on his face, he set the ring down and looked away. "Where did you find that?" He asked quietly. His voice didn't reveal any emotion whatsoever. "That was meant for Kaia to keep... forever."

Cass bit her lip, and her face got blotchy very instantly. "I"m sorry.. I'm really sorry.. I..." The tears that had been brimming rolled down her face, and she shook her head again. "I didn't mean to.." her breathing was very uneven, and she blinked a few times. From whatever her heart had been teetering on, it fell. It fell hard.

"It's all right." Tomo lied, and it was obvious. "You didn't know... I... I'll take it back." He almost whispered, eyes glassing with tears. He turned towards the stairs, wiping his eyes on his t-shirt. "Rhi, sweety!" He called up the stairs, turning his 'cheerful' switch on. "Did you wanna go visit mama?" He asked. After a few seconds he heard a set of energetic feet on the stairs.
"Yeah!" The girl piped, pulling her shoes on. She ran to the bar and grabbed some flowers from the vase, "Can we share some of your flowers with her?" She asked, looking at her father hopefully. After receiving a nod she moved the the front door, pausing to look at Cass, "Can Cass come too?"
Tomo flicked his eyes to Cass and opened his mouth. He wasn't going to invite her, but he wouldn't turn her down either. He was hoping she would decide for herself.

Cass shook her head, crying quite profusely. "Not today, Rhi.." she replied, her voice barely choking out, as she moved to the stairs. She moved as fast as a very pregnant woman could, almost sobbing out loud, she was so upset. She knew she'd hurt him, and she felt awful for it. She hurried into her room upstairs, and slammed the door behind her. What a Father's day.. She'd ruined it for Tomo.

Tomo picked Rhiannon up and walked with her piggyback for the little gravesite the two of them made for Kaia, gripping the ring tightly in his hand.
