My new opponent has actually garnished some respect from me. It has been many moons since I've actually faced a skilled competitor, especially in melee form and function.

All I did was ask a question that I would like answered still but instead it was taken as my saying no. So I hope you have fun. I was going to go ahead and fight you anyway. So much for that. Well this is ******** up. If you still want the match it didn't start until today...It's yours. I'm not gonna cheat someone out of their legitimate placement. No you guys have your fun now you already started. I've kinda been stressed in real and the little happenings on here are just making it worse so I don't want to blow up and go all mad on people at this point. Besides my character as far as I can tell is the only real human so I'm just going to leave it at I was not given the right impression of what I was walking into and definately didn't enter a competitive character that can actually fight people who can throw air based grenades that travel faster than most humans can even see. I still will say one thing I find it funny some of the weapons and attacks I've seen in here how big and powerful they are but why was everyone mad at Galaxy when he nerfed a gun to a weaker state and entered that when half the stuff here is far deadlier.. oh well I guess I just won't understand for now. I'm too tired and grumpy so sorry. If I knew what I knew now. I would have taken off many of the limits from Tres's profile and come in with none of the weaknesses. Because I agree, s**t in this tournament is ridiculous. Galaxy would have made it in with his flack cannon

[cracks hands] Let me explain, You see, Grand Tournament was expected to have a semblance of "balance." You can't do roleplay balance perfectly but, you can nudge things in the warmer direction than the colder iffin' you catch me. Instead, it had people scrutinized for very minute details, meanwhile you had folks walking around with shoulder mounted flak cannons, or one guy who was basically Ninja Jesus; it wasn't just a disparity in power levels, it was a judge created disparity in power levels. That's why it got complained about. Here, At CoC(K) [Contest of Champion Kings], it's even "worse?" Like there was so very little definition and so little oversight on profiles, people signed up just to enter broken s**t and watch the comedy ensue. I mean. I even did it a bit with Hank Hill; once he hits Super Saiyan, his Ki Strikes.. Ki Strikes Ki Strike [SUPER SAIYAN] (Active) " Felt good, too." Hank can now project his golden Ki as attacks. These energy blasts can only be fired once per post, but shoot out in a fist sized golden ray that emits towards the opponent as fast as a fast firing baseball. On impact, it is akin to being smashed with a metal battering ram. What is truly deadly about this technique, is that its damage penetrates any form of manufactured or natural armor to deliver its damage to the opponent's body. ... are broken as ********. Like I seriously did not even begin to expect that'd get approved let alone approved without a single complaint but, there you go. Now, I usually play legit human characters. *Usually*. And I've dealt with some pretty broken s**t. Slash Zinrai It's more to the effect of Eric, as a character, utilizing what he's seen/experienced. I, as a writer, don't have an opinion on the matter; as, in order for our fight to go the way it did, I had to allow some things to go uncontested. Regardless, I think we can both agree that our "grades" had almost nothing to do with the events of our battle. wink I don't know about that but I do agree on one point, we both had to allow letting some things go to move things forward.

The Great Absolute Am I one of the only few who doesn't bat an eye at what people have? You've roleplayed as a guy who canonically turned into a lava tornado and destroyed people's souls by sucking them up your nostrils. It'd be hypocritical if you did bat an eye. lol

Galaxy would have made it in with his flack cannon Well I'm not sure if you knew this or not but he had nerfed all the guns so they weren't gunlike really. or at least that's what he tells me I don't know enough about the weapons to know if they are. Also Absolute I would say yes but right now I really can't my life is way to stressed

I'm too tired and grumpy so sorry. Sorry to hear about your personal issues and I understand your frustrations. Things are wonky with this tournament... but you weren't the only human in this tournament...well as much as one can be human Gaia. Also CoC is brand spanking new and not yet a good example of some of the ideals our community are trying to achieve. HoH was by far the best example and they still had hiccups and now it is essentially gone but I know a few members...myself included are trying to recreate that experience and build upon it. So don't forsake us yet.

It doesn't matter what you or the opponent have, at the end of the day its everyones job to make the fight fun and readable. On the other hand... There needs to be some standards and expectations. It can't be like the FFA where one guy has a stick and the other guy can create millions of planes, break them down, and shoot the resulting energy into your skull. Because without those standards, the ability for the players to have decent, dramatic, back and forth contest are diminished. Its not impossible mind you, it shows a lot of skill to beat an Artificial God with only a stick...but this is the Contest of Champions, not the Contest of Gods and Men.

My character is a God by title, and perhaps also in intelligence and wisdom. But by physical reference he is akin to epitome human.
So the God is just a misnomer title.
At least as far as CoC is concerned.

Well I can tell your getting the second hand version of his weapons, he didn't have shoulder mounted flak canons they were slow firing plasma canons that did no physical damage but rather fired a ball that moved something similar to a slow firing mine that would cause essentially a splash of insta ice or something else. he had a handheld flak canon yes but it also according to what he's telling me did not fire as fast or as powerful as the one in the video game actually does, to the extent where dodging it was alike to having a mage fire a fireball with a lot more weight so it arcs rather than flies straight. Saying this I will let you ponder on that, because I note a lot of people in here just read flack canon and shoulder mount and jumped to conclusions, he actually made the weapons weaker than most of the skills allowed in the tournament. Galaxy's failure as far as I can tell is he overwhelmed himself and simply couldn't handle the work he put himself up for. Yes there were some overpowered things and they probably slipped through due to Galaxy making time limits on everything including the judges on grading things. His biggest failure though is that he for whatever reason disappeared I think the only one who he even told is Slash as of what happened.

The parts of my character that are broken in this tournament have already been fixed outside of it, and yet...
Nothing...
Literally NOTHING...
about Eric is written in such a way that I -have- to use it. If I know that something is unfair, I'll deliberately avoid it...
Or, for the sake of someone else, let things slip through uncontested.
But ******** of me when I see Ertai, of all people, trying to argue character dynamics.
Pheromones so broken!
Good thing I have DOMINION to cancel everything out, and bring balance to the game. rolleyes
