I had to go to the ER towards the end of last week, then it was in and out of the DR until like yesterday. I had a really bad case of strep throat, and they were afaid it may have effected my aortic vein or some such. Said it happens to a lot of young people cause they have untreated strep. Luckily im fine.

WAIT! I might!
Keith, if you see this before your shifts consume too much time. is Basic and AIT like living in a dorm?

My shifts have been consuming too much time since last thursday, But to answer you question Basic is not like dorm life at all. Unless the Army. . .that's what you were going into right?. . . has easier basic than the air force, which I doubt since AF people get a standard of living pay when they have to be stationed on Army bases.
In Basic you live in one/two rooms with 30+ other guys that are going to see you naked more than once no matter how hard you try to conceal yourself, but don't worry since homosexual acts are against the UCMJ the worst anyone can do to you without getting in SEVERE trouble is staring hoping Don't Ask Don't Tell gets repealed~ Though sodomy is still against the UCMJ as well. And Basic is also really stressful but just remember that things are way different in active duty compared to basic.
I can only assume that AIT is something like AF's Tech School. However as previously mentioned the AF and Army have different standards of living etc, So you could either continue to live in barracks/tents, or you could be put into a dormitory style building that has far too much stupidity running rampant in it to ever be called a dorm. Yessir everything from G.I. Parties to random inspections, and just because it has Party in it don't make any good assumptions about G.I. Parties.
Then again you could have an entirely different experience and I don't know if the army even does G.I. Parties. . .
They had a forum for people to express their opinions about DADT and I went. . . the pure amount of ignorance in that room gave me a migrane. There are already plenty of gays/lesbians/bi's in the military the only difference would be that they could tell people that they are, you paranoid little ******** it's not like suddenly you're gonna get butt-raped since your room mate is gay mad
One girl from the med group even said and I quote "Being homosexual is a High-Risk Activity" you have a high chance of getting an STD from sleeping with a Med girl since most of them have herpegonasyphilaids 'cause they're easy and starting giving it away when they were 15.

Howdy everyone!
I know I've been posting to everyone and sending messages a lot this week, but I just want to make sure everyone gets the memo!
Post counts will be for real this week, meaning Warnings will be issued if you don't make the 2 post minimum without contacting me in some way (absent thread, PM, aim) and letting me know what is going on. Everyone is starting with a clean slate, and I'd like to keep it that way!
So far, only 2 people have contacted me that they won't be able to make it this week, and looking at my spreadsheet, there is only one member that has met the quota for this week. By my counts, 12 people haven't posted at all.
Communicate with me! I'm not some tyrant or anything like that! If there is an issue, just let me know and I give an exemption.
Oh, and if you did not receive a PM from me (if you have 2 characters, I only PM'd one account), please let me know. It probably means we aren't friends on Facebook since I tend to send messages like this all at once.
Sorry to use the OOC thread for this, but I wanted to make sure everyone would see it. smile
Anyways, how is everyone doing?

ME: eek stressed scream gonk burning_eyes stare neutral smile SCHOOL: okay, we've used your first check to pay off most of your tutition but you still owe us about 1,100 dollars by october 13th, okay? or we drop you from your classes. What Jr. College do you go to? I've never heard of a Jr. College that requires 3K even for out of state.
