I looked at him, "well you made it here, and you know how humans can be so you'll always be prepared when any are near, and you'll continue getting stronger with all of our help" I said with a smile trying to cheer him up

A sound was heard as the front door to the mansion opened, then closed. Footsteps. In walked Valaryia, and beside her, an unfamiliar, beautiful young woman with a haughty look on her face. She had dying lilac flowers in her hair, and dried blood caked around a few-days-old bite mark. She wore a black lacey dress with a provacative slit up the left leg to expose a sapphire blue garter that she obviously didn't mind everyone seeing. She gave a look around the mansion, startled but tight-lipped. She leaned closer to Valaryia, almost touching her.
Valaryia herself looked different. She looked tired, older. There were bags under her eyes. Most noticably was her unusual dress. She had on a red evening gown that clashed with her usual Victorian pastel-colored dresses. And, around her neck, was a thick piece of gauze that was taped down to her neck, with thin bandaged wrapped around. She held a look that would most easily be described as "undead", no pun intended.
Valaryia looked to Vickilyn, then to Spike. She wondered if she was interrupting something, but she had to ask. "Where's Neferata," she said, not a question.

"Of course Spike, there's plenty of demons around here that can help you get stronger than you already are"
I saw Valariya walk into the room with another girl. "She left, with Shadow, to try and fix the Vargulf thing" I said looking at them smelling the air. I stood up, "She's newly turned isn't she" I said with a bit of panic in my voice

Valaryia's heart sank. Oh, you really ******** it up this time. "Um, yes, she is," Valaryia said. "This is Emilie Williams. She's an old friend of mine." Valaryia had never been properly introduced to Vickilyn, but knew somehow she was the mistress of the house.
Emilie raised an eyebrow, masking her fear. "Pleasure," she said flatly, not the slightest bit tired, like Valaryia. "I assume this is where I'll be staying from now on...?" She looked around. "It's... cute."
"Emilie," Valaryia warned.
Emilie shrugged.

"She needs blood, now, or she won't stay in this state" I said to one of the servants, I also told him to get a few pitchers, she was going to need it. I looked back to the three of them, and offered Emile my glass, "You'll need this, so drink up" I said backing away to the kitchen helping the servants carry the pitches and a few glasses ((Sorry if my posts are a little slow-going, I'm moving today so I'm trying to pack))

Emilie laughed. "I just had some, thank you," she said with a smile.
Valaryia, looking away said, "Drink some anyway."
"But you-"
"Drink," Valaryia snapped. Emilie, shocked, took the blood and drank it without a second thought.
Valaryia sat down, her head burried in her hands, as Emilie quickly drank. "How long is Neferata gone," she asked, her words muffled. Emilie's eyes squinted at the mention of Neferata's name.

I poured more blood into a few glasses and slid them down the table toward Emile and Valariya. "Spike please be careful, don't say or do anything suddenly" "You look like you could use some too Valariya" I said sliding a glassher way. "Neferata and Shadow will probably be gone for about a week"

Emilie's eyebrow rose, her face set in sarcasm. "Yeah, I might jump out suddenly and spontaneously combust all over your nice little table." She put the blood down. "I'm full Victoria. And don't ever tell me what to do. Ever again." The mention yet again of Neferata had made her bitter.
Valaryia fought tears. "A week? But..." Her voice faltered. She looked down at the blood, desparately needing it, but not drinking it.
Emilie looked at Valaryia. "You should drink that, Victoria. I drained you of quite a lot." Valaryia's eyes widened in embarrassment. She wasn't sure how healthy it was for a vampire to drink another vampire's blood.

I stood with disgust and anger, 'was she really telling me what to do? In my own house?' I thought. "Look little girl" I said angrily as my eyes turned pitch black, "You are newly turned, I've had alot of experience with new Vampires, I know that their bloodlust needs to be satisfied as soon as possible, or they'll go after whatever moves" I was almost to her when I thought of how I was letting my anger get to me. "You need that blood Valariya, so you can get your strength back." I said trying to calm down

Emilie laughed. "Oh funny! You call her Valaryia?" she said with an eyebrow raised.
Valaryia looked up. "I'm sorry m'lady. My human name was Victoria."
Emilie smirked, vindicated. "She used to only use fake names for one night stands," she laughed.
Valaryia felt like death. "I'm not hungry," she lied, pushing the blood away. "Come on Emilie, I'll find you a room."
Emilie stroked her new bite mark, delighted to find it tingled slightly. "Mmkay," she said, not realized the depth of her situation, not realizing Valaryia's depression.

((Alright later. And sorry, this next post is looooong))
Valaryia dragged herself up the stairs and Emilie followed, skipping. "Her name was Victoria too?" she asked. "Is she a vampire? What about that other guy? Can vampires have wings? Or was he something else? What other kinds of immortal creatures exist? And what does immortal mean anyway? Does this mean I can stay young forever?"
Valaryia felt like breaking Emilie's neck. And this is what I risked my life and my love for, she thought bitterly.
Valaryia stopped at her room and opened it. She went in and unlatched her dagger from her garter, manipulating it onto the top of a dresser. Emilie flopped down on the bed. "Well, it's not home, but I'll settle," she said simply.
Valaryia turned to her, bags under her eyes. "Oh no you don't. You're getting your own room."
Emilie laid down on the bed, her dress sliding back to fully expose perfectly-shaped legs. "But I like it here."
"You'll like it elsewhere," Valaryia snapped. "Neferata would not want me sharing a room with an ex-girlfriend."
Emilie rolled her eyes in exaperation and sat up. "Neferata, Neferata, Neferata," she spat, annoyed. "God do you have to freaking talk about her every three minutes? The whole way home was, 'I want Neferata' this, and 'I miss Neferata' that, and 'Will Neferata ever forgive me?' and something else equally pathetic-"
"Shut up." Valaryia's eyes were cold. "I saved your life. I gave you part of me to save your life." Her hand touched the gauze around her neck. "You would have died had I not offered my blood to you. So stop treating me like scum."
Emilie flopped back down on the bed again. "Just ******** her and get it over with. You can last without sex for a week."
Valaryia rubbed her face. "It's not like that."
Emilie's face hardened. "You love her?"
"Yes." It was a whisper. "I never got to tell her it, but I love her so much. More than anything. And now, because I decided to save your life, I've put our relationship in jepordy."
Emilie didn't move for a while. Then, finally, she said, "Do you love her like you loved me?"
Valaryia paused. "No."
Emilie sat up, angry. "Oh really? So you're not going to sleep with some stranger just because you can?"
"No," Valaryia said, frustrated. She sat down on the bed next to Emilie. "I've grown up since then. I don't think you understand how much it hurt me that I had hurt you. I spent everyday for a year punishing myself for hurting you. I loved you so, so much. I said no because I don't know if I'm on that level with Neferata. And the love we have is different from the love you and I had. She... she trusts me. So completely, and for no reason." Valaryia's eyes watered.
Emilie's face went softer, blanker. "You know what I think?"
"What?"
She leaned over to Valaryia. "I think you just love her because she trusts you."
Valaryia shook her head. "I don't believe that's true."
Emilie smiled. "Think about it. You barely even know this woman. Not to mention she's a vampire, for Christ's sake. A thousands-of-years-old vampire. One who knows nothing of sex, from what you told me," she added. "And sex is a very big part of love for you."
"It doesn't have to be anymore," Valaryia sat.
Emilie leaned back, her posture twisted. "You've changed, Victoria," she said. "The Victoria I knew and loved would never let herself be degraded like this."
"Well, being Turned changes you," Valaryia said solemnly.
The two sat in silence for a while, Valaryia thinking of Neferata and Emilie looking at Valaryia. Valaryia looked towards her. "What?" she asked.
Emilie leaned in and slowly undid Valaryia's bandages. "Emile, hey..."
Emilie shrugged. "I healed without these. Why do you need them?"
To hide what I've done, Valaryia thought but didn't say it. As Emilie undid the bandages and took off the gaue, throwing them in a nearby waste basket, new bite marks rested on her neck. Valaryia sighed as it touched clean, crisp air. Emilie, leaning in, stroked the wounds with her fingernail.
Adrenaline shot through Valaryia. "Don't," she warned, afraid.
Emilie scooted closer into Valaryia, putting her lips to Valaryia's neck, kissing her wound. Valaryia gasped. It felt... good. "Stop," she begged, panicked. "I want to be good to Neferata. Please, I can't be the one to say no."
"Then don't," Emilie said simply. She wrapped her arms around Valaryia, pushing her down into a lying positon on the bed, kissing her neck.
"Please stop," she begged. She struggled half-wllingly in Emilie's grasp. This was hard. It was so hard.
"You want to be faithful?" Emilie asked. "Like you weren't to me?"
"Please," Valaryia begged, her breath growing rapid. "I learned from what I did to you. I don't want to do it again. Please, get off of me!"
Emilie looked into Valaryia's eyes, her hand on the inside of her theigh. "You know I never stopped loving you. Even after I was engaged to Jack, I never stopped loving you."
Valaryia forced her off suddenly, her manipulation throwing Emilie into the air. Emilie screamed in shock as Valaryia held her there for a moment, catching her breath. "What the hell are you doing?!" she shrieked. "Put me down!"
Valaryia sighed and lowered Emilie to the ground. That was the first time she had ever manipulated a human being. Or vampire. Whatever. "You don't love me," Valaryia said, gasping.
"No, what it is is that you don't love me," Emilie snapped, furious, collecting herself. "There I laid, good as dead, when who come up as my savior? My dear Victoria, my long lost lover. She tells me to bite her, that she'll be okay as long as I am. She hold me close to warm me and takes me to her home. What am I supposed to think?!" She paused for a breath, then continued. "Even after Jack proposed to me, I knew I still loved you. I waited for the day you'd come back, like I thought you did. Only this time, you're going on and on about some b***h Neferata and how wonderful she is, yet how you never even knew her!"
Valaryia sat up, tears forming again, but not tears of saddness. Angry tears. "I moved on, Emilie," she spat. "I moved on because I thought you did. And you know what? I'm glad I did. I've grown up since then. I'm become a woman. But you... you are still a selfish girl. Everything is your way or no way. And I WILL stay faithful to Neferata!" she added, tears spilling.
Emilie smirked, her eyes diallated. "Oh really? How easily you laid under me and let me have you just now. Good luck!" With that, she stormed off. Down the hallway, she yelled. "This room is empty so it's mine!" A door slammed shut.
Valaryia laid on the bed, her eyes closed. She wanted blood. She wanted to cry. She wanted Neferata, most of all. Having Emilie around confused her. She knew she didn't love her anymore. It was the sexual tension that confused her. Valaryia decided that, however, she should get blood. She slumped down the stairs, and into the dining room, where she ordered a glass of blood. She put her head down and started to cry while waiting for it.
