I meant a military craft.
Most people don't upgrade; they learn how to use what they got.

Nelowulf I meant a military craft. Most people don't upgrade; they learn how to use what they got. This is true of Military Craft. Upgrades only come about because they're the new Standard issue. Its cheeper to throw the new part in an older ship than build a new ship.

Exactly. A frigate is not going to get upgrades because of a commander. Retrofitting is expensive, and unless the commander is long overdue for something worthwhile, chances are the money will not be appropriated for it for the sake of "makign one ship better".

Plus, such an upgrade requires an intact command and procurement structure. Thats not something the GLF have.

I dunno why.

I'd do that... The Gundam RP...
and the upgrades would be part of a mid-Sith-Imperial War Upgrade Kit, if there are any at all...I might just give her a bigger hangar and have that be the end of it, or I ma do nothing at all...

I could see-role specific upgrade kits for starships, the Carrack-class had two distinct loadouts on its deployments: multi-role and frigate-hunter.

Yea, that's sort of what I'm going for...the idea is that the Victory through superior tactics, surprised and destroyed a Nemesis Class, but took heavy damage, and that during the repairs she was upgraded beyond specs...

The escort frigate that thought like a heavy destroyer!
Pity most ships that fight such battles usually end up being destroyed by whatever support ships the heavy brought with them.
How does a Glaive kill a Nemesis anyway?

Tricked it into a minefield, then pounded the s**t out of it until it went down...

A minefield... must have been an idiot for a captain, most mines aren't a threat to a Star Destroyer. I would have thought you used a squadron of T-wings to rape its shields and had your frigate dance around in its aft quarter shooting up its engines where it couldn't bring many guns to bear.
Then the reinforcements the imp called in showed up and beat you into a pulp. lol

The Minefield was big enough *to* be a threat, and the vessels comm systems were destroyed...The T-Wing wasn't used by the GAA, so that option is out

Thats too bad, a T-wing is the optimum convoy and capital ship killer in the Legacy Arsenal (Except T-97 but they're more likely found escorting convoys then hunting them).
I don't see how a Glaive could defeat a Nemesis in that scenario, one good volley and your ship is scrap. It'd be like a Nebulon B killed an Allegiance, it just doesn't happen... unless your ship had got more help.

He hit them from the rear angle, and most of her turrets were gone, don't worry, it won't happen in the RP itself
Now the -Wing is used by the GLF and their forces, and its used to excellent effect
