Nyl looked at him, quite suddenly remembering her own injuries, too. "If it scares us both that much, I'm glad you destroyed it. Let's go back to the dojo. Hopefully I didn't use up all my energy on fireballs."

"I don't want to fly back, though. I think I'd scare it." She looked down at the quivering ball of white fur in her arms. "I can't leave it out here."

Nyl nodded and started walking. After a few steps, she stopped. "You okay to walk all that way?"

He looked down at his legs. "Oh.. Wow." He attempted to dust himself off, but quickly realized why his brain wasn't focusing on the multiple, yet minor, injuries on his legs. "Yeah, I should be fine, as long as my hand keeps hurting." The hole in his hand was a good half-inch wide at the palm, and not much smaller at the exit wound. He walked with her, in the direction of the Dojo.

Nyl looked at his hand but didn't say anything. She just walked, one hand running lightly through the fur of the creature she was holding.

As they moved further and futher from the point at which the stone tablet had been buried, things began to look less diseased. Leaves were becoming greener, trees looking healthier. "Is your friend their going to be alright?" His face shown concern for the small creature in her arms. He wasn't yet able to discern what exactly it was. Right now, it looked like a ball of fur.

"I don't know. I can't talk to it. But while we were fighting the fog, it got hit with one of the kunai. It was the only animal within yards of the source of the fog...I don't know what it was doing there."
Two black eyes peeked out at Seph from the ball of fur.

"Hmm.." He looked away for a split second until something caught his eye. He glanced back at the animal, making eye contact. He smiled. "I like it."

"It's gutsy, and good looking." He didn't want to say cute, but 'good looking' didn't sound right. "Cute." He corrected. "It's cute." He looked ahead of them, stepping through some brush and holding it apart so Nyl could pass with her new friend.

"It might be. There can't have been much to eat in all that dying forest." She stepped out of the forest, finally, and onto the dojo property. "But before anybody eats, I'm fixing your hand."
