Funny how it hasn't attacked me ye...
* Before he finished his sentence, he used his thumb to partially unsheath his sword (figure Kenshin, but not reversed), slicing a kunai in half, making it return to fog *

((The fog only attacks once it's got your chakra signature to target, Hunter. ^^; We'll say it was a rogue, though, aimed for Seph or something. That's part of the reason(although unknown to Seph and Nyl) why the fog only attacks them directly. They've come into physical contact with it at some point. ))
Seph smiled at Hunter, then followed Nyl into the trees. "Let's go, Hunter!" He kept close to Nyl. It had been a long time since he had tree-vaulted, and old habits were coming back quickly. Like using your hands and feet for balance and thrust.
"What's it been doing to them?"

"Something...that they whisper of like it's sickness. Something they're powerless against." A branch shifted under her feet and she lost her balance, falling through a section of fog. She reahed for another, lower branch, the fog wrapping around her reaching arm and tightening like fine wire. It broke through Seph's fire jutsu, and Nyl hissed. She swung herself up on the branch, looking at the crisscrossing lines of blood forming on her arm.
She leapt to the next branch, resolved to ignore it.

Seph hesitated for a split second, enough time to realize that Nyl was alright, then continued vaulting forward. He jumped close to the trunks of the trees, where there should be much less movement. "We're coming up on it now.. Jeez, I hope the master of this jutsu doesn't suddenly decide to check up on us.."

Let's try something...
* Hunter modified one of his usual techniques to be a defensice one this time, he summoned a protective mini-tornado around both Nyl and Seph, on it's outter rim, it had small fire balls swirling around, thus creating a protective net *
Hopefully, that will help some...Theyre "programmed" to hit anything that isnt part of the forest...

He caught himself on a large branch and looked around. "Thanks Hunter!" He said, his gaze then falling to a patch of fresher-looking ground. "I know I did." The look on Seph's face was grim. This was going way too smoothly. "Alright, Nyl. It's all yours."

Nyl dropped to the ground, right beside the fresh spot Seph had indicated. He said six feet. She dropped to one knee and put her uninjured hand on the ground. The fresh earth began to shift, sliding away to form a hole, nearly six feet deep.

Seph hopped down next to her and pulled a flat stone from the ground. On the front was a tag. Showing was the clans symbol. He stood and looked over the tablet. "Yeah.. this is it. There's an enourmous amount of chakra focus on this object." He tried to peel the tag off but the instant his fingers touched it, the tag changed colors, a spike very similar to the stone it was attatched to impaled Seph's hand. He quickly pulled his hand away. "Trapped. We're going to have to destroy the whole-" He didn't manage to finish the sentence. A kunai struck him in the back of the head, melting away. It didn't hurt, but it did catch him off guard. He was focusing too much on the pain, and Byakougan had been dropped without him realizing it. Looking behind him, Seph found what he didn't want to happen.
The fog was becoming so dense with moisture, it was beginning to break through Hunter's fire-tornado.

If you do this quick...I may be able to provide near perfect cover, but this is highly chakra consuming...

"The whole what? If you can do it, then do it, Seph." Nyl eyed the fog hesitantly. She wasn't excellent at the fireballs yet - she didn't know how many more she could throw. Two kunai came at her low, aimed for her legs. She jumped and they passed under her.
