Shifting slightly, the pack was a little annoying just like the sword. His own mocasin pouch was ready to burst with the amount of water in it and combined with the back crushing it, the thing was a bomb just waiting for the switch. "Well this is a little interesting." Yue muttered. Concentrating on ahead put him in a slight mood. Right now though you could hear it or even tell but later on, it would rear up. The red bubble itself was different the seemingly anti gravititional field around it made it seem like the pack was mere nothingness. "How do I activate this pack now?" The teen spoke. A hint of curiosity seemed to flourish at the thought of contents within thr pack. 'I've gotta get something, maybe a hidden poison container into this sword.' Yue always like to think of back-ups and safety's for survival. This hidden poison compartment in the sword was one of them. "Ace, Will you explain the terain of this new enviroment?" The mission had started. This was the beginning, information gathering and strategy planning.

Sokato looked very concerned. Almost wondering weather this person lived in a hole as a child not to know how a parachute works... "Its quite simple." He stated staring at Yue. "Just pull the cord and hold on. Its called a parachute, they slow down your decent. Mostly used for jumping out of planes." Sokato decided to tell him why we are using it. "In the simulations the simulations I have been running on this have been showing an tendency for the portal to open up way above ground. Combine that with trying to land it on a giant mesa and it becomes very difficult to predict anything."
"The thing about the terrain is that its a forest and a city on a mountain. Its hard to describe the magnitude of how big the terrain is. When you pull the cord, two cables should drop down for you to grab on. Try to steer to a clearing so you don't land in the trees." Sokato had worries about himself. Being much heavier and carrying a much heavier load than every one else, he had some concerns about the hand stitched parachutes. They were made using materials that you would find in the place that they were heading and well.... it might not hold up.

'I really hope my kinesis well be able to lighten the fall if I soften the ground.' Yue was having his doubt on being able to stear this pack. "This is gonna screw up the second I finally get a hang on it." Truefully, the teen was telling the trueth. Anything technological that Yue began to trust always turned around and bit him in the rear. "Well atleast in the forest we'll be at a minor advantage." Trees were living creatures. Living creatures all have some water within his body. Yue had a rule. For every creature and living organism that he killed, draining it off its water, then he would return the water to nature. "Ace, what are we doing for this mission?" Yue was being kinda quick to the point for the moment. He knew in a couple minutes this good luck was gonna fall like a rock out of the sky. Most likly, he was going to be that rock.

"Well, you see, its more of a protection mission than extermination. The city is wealthy but since it sits on a really large mesa, its not in threat of invasion so they don't keep any armed forces or an organized militia. Suddenly however, red dragons, red dragons are in the chromatic family of dragons just to let you know, they have suddenly decided to attack. I am not sure why." Sokato looked around at the bubble.
"They sent out a distress signal of sorts by any means. They sent a letter through some sort of portal device of their own. So I don't know exactly how many groups responded to the call. You can-" Suddenly the bubble opens up and air rushes out and the bubble turns inside out spitting out Yue and Ace.
Its near sun set. High in the air, you can see the sun setting in the West and the moon rising in the East. The portal spit them out high over the mesa, but not over the surrounding mountains. They are near the far edge, away from the city. Three mountains surround the other edge near the city. The forest is evergreen and is quite thick. They are about six hundred feet above the mesa. Sokato flips, out of control. He is able to control himself and extends his arms and his legs, belly down to slow him down before pulling the cord.

"Damn it Captain. Hurry up and get that portal running Android. I need to catch up with them." He picks the sword up and fastens it to his hip and laughs... "Now I have two swords." He grinned and pulled the pack on. He stared at the android and grinned. "Hurry up or I will smash you instead of the machine."

"This time, your sentiments are actually appreciated, Brian. I do like your tactical thinking - keeping logical. I expect to see that keep happening under enemy fire, or..." Steven paused. "Under water. Whatever. I also suggest getting to understand when I'm joking and when I'm not. Generally if I'm saying I'm going to shoot you, I'm joking. If I'm actually pointing a gun at you, I'm not. Then start running.
"Circumstances? No, nothing specific. I leave it up to each of you how exactly you want to show me your capabilities. All I want to see is what you can do when the crap hits the fan and we have a situation." Standing, Steven thrust his .45 into its holster on his hip. "I suppose the simulator could also simulate weapons non-fatally? If so, I'd be interested in doing some sparring, because seeing and feeling are two totally different things, if you understand where I'm heading. A couple of fights between us will be grandly educating.
"Shall we go, then?"

Shadow took a calm step forward. "I take it that we are dismissed then." He gave another bow and took his leave of the room. He headed towards his room, he wasnt sure why. He figured maybe he was tired and his body wanted to rest. On his way there, he bumped into one of the medics, or at least he asumed so because he didnt know of any other workers there.
The medic dropped a sealed envelope, and stumbled back. "My dearest appologies, sir. I wasn't looking where I was going." He stated with a somewhat worried or fearful bow. Shadow returned the bow politely, picked up the envelope and responded, "Its alright, but be more careful and pay more attention next time". As he handed the envelope to the medic, he noticed his name was writen neatly on the center. "Actually, sir, I was on my way to find you. I was instructed to give that to you. You may keep it, and if you dont mind, I have other tasks to attend to." The medic responded with a slightly embarased look on his face. Shadow nodded and the medic turned and left.
Shadow was currious about the message, but decided to wait till he was in his room to read it. He pondered the contents and who it was from the rest of the way to his room, room 13.
[[Just so everyone knows, I am about to go out to sea in real life. My access will be limited. To avoid angering or frustrating, or causing difficulties for the other mercinaries, my character will go on a special mission. This has been cleared by the commander via PM. I will change my signature the day before I leave, so you will know when I'm gone, since I am not allowed to state exact dates. Thank you all for your understanding. Sir Bayer, Shadow will inform you of his task, when he finds it out and just before he leaves on it.]]

Shadow entered his room and sat down after closing the door behind him. He opened the envelope and removed the letter. It read... Shadow Dragon, There is a town on the continent to the west which has requested our assistence. The situation is they are being hurassed by bandits, pirates, and gang members. They could all be apart of the same organization, but that intel wasn't given to us. They requested that the help be discreet to prevent unnecessary violence to the locals. Other than that, they inform us that we can handle the situation however we feel might be the most effective. We have decided to start by sending in an agent undercover, to gather intel and determine through experience and observations, the best corse of action. If the situation can be handled with minimum to 0 collateral damage by the agent, then we will allow him to handle it. If back up is needed, and a plan can be made, then the agent would send word. I have reviewed your files and records, and find that you are perhaps a perfect candidate for this mission. You are new to this agency so this would be a good way to see what you are capable of. You are a calm, causious and observant man. You seem to have a lot of patience and you were born, raised and trained to protect the inocent. At least that is what your records say. This mission will require you to be patient, observant, clever, cautious, and calm. At times you may have to use your knowledge in weapons, and fighting styles, or your stealth skills to achieve your goal. From what I understand, others around the grounds here have had trouble noticing you, or hearing you. I suppose you do that on purpose, and I wondered to myself, 'How does he work on his own. How will he perform?'. If you accept, we will expect you to report in periodically and keep us updated on the situation. We'll leave it up to you on how you handle this. If you need anything, talk with the tech or the librarian. If you accept, inform your captain you are leaving. There is no need to give anyone any details, just get what you think you will need, and go. If you dont accept, then put this letter back into the envelope, reseal, and leave for the clean up in the morning. -Upper Leadership He finished reading the message and paused for a moment of thought. This is interesting indeed. He stood up with the message and envelope still in his hands. He then started to rip up the letter and envelope as he headed to the door. He knew that the instructions implied that no one else needed to know the details of the mission just yet. He left his room with the torn up pieces of paper in his enclosed hand and made sure he locked his door. He headed to the similation room, for he knew that would be where he could find his captain.

((Time to meet up with the others, incognito))
She was just lounging around, taking in the sights. The last thief she had taken care of was about five minutes ago, so she thought she had plenty of time. Boy was she wrong.
With a scream, and a dash around the corner, a man ran into Catherine. Nearly pushing her over. Of course, this made many men and women angry at the stupidity of the man. So, he got a royal beatdown by the general populace. When it was over, the man was bruised and bleeding slightly, but Catherine could see the sign of a thief. That, and the missing fingers were a dead giveaway.
Hefting him up, she marched him back around the corner, where she was amazed to see her Captain. Wonder if she would get recognized. "Did somebody misplace this guy?"

"What the...... did you just lie about your feelings, and then disappear in this camping coffin? Do not come near me, I warn you. If you put me in there, I am going to have a major memory dump inside, and will have no problems with smearing it around. " Brian smiled, and bowed a short bit. He looked at his handheld, and pressed a few buttons. Gee, louise, he thought, a scenario that fitted the lot of them. He pondered, scrolled through the implicated scenario typed, and deccided himself for Vietnam. Yes, timeline should have been the vietnam war, 50 allies, 50000 attackers, superior weapons, ..... He grinned, and looked up at the group. "Anybody ever watched dog soldiers? Well, For maximal realism, dress appropriate for a medium march through a jungle area. Everything you can carry is ok, and appreciated, but expect to run. After all, the captain wants to see your personal style. I will not be joining you in person, because I have to play the attackers, but I will always be next to you, so just watch out what the attackers say and do. So, please remember, that the simulation you are about to enter will be a very advanced one. if you will be hit by a bullet, it will not kill you, but it will hurt like hell. If you are hit by near-reach weapons, you will be very very lucky if you can escape a blue spot. Also, if you want to spend longer periods of time in the simulation, I would suggest you pack appropriate nourishment. Or else if you can hunt in the jungle......" Brian grinned, and looked at the captain. "So, just see that as a practice mission with the ability for you to lean back. We will have plenty of time to get real later on, so why waste ourself now? So, just so you can't say I cheated. I will simultaniously act as a sniper, your radio-engineer and voice in your ear, and as all of the enemies. I think my qualitys as a XO will be showing enough. Or, if you have an other Idea, I will be happy to listen. " Brian grinned, finished the dragging and dropping on his pocket PC, and looked up to the captain.

"Jungle?" Steven replied, cocking an eyebrow. "What is this, 'Nam? Eh. I guess I'll see, and I'm sure I'll end up being sorry if I ask. Oh, and - will virtual weapons be supplied me there, or should I bring this sucker? Or the shotgun? The shotgun's a goodun..." Steven added, dragging off into a mutter with a hand on the grip of his handgun. Growing quiet, he stared at the floor for a long moment before shaking himself and sighing. "I'll leave this thing here anyway - if I'm unarmed, all the better to kill you with." Unbelting the holster, he shifted his shirt. "I think I'm dressed appropriately. I make it a habit to be so dressed. Saved me a few times, in fact."
Glancing around at the rest of his crew, he paused to wonder if they considered themselves prepared to find themselves marching through the jungle. Probably not; the girl was carrying a coffin, which was not exactly the preferred accoutrement for the long haul. Then again, they apparently had an ape with chainguns, and what better to go through the jungle than an ape? The heavy coverfire possibilities were endless. On the other hand, so would the flea possibilities. Better not to voice that opinion. Who knows how his team would react?

Azora, who sounded from the coffin yelled at the little one man destruct-o genius, "If you think stuffing you in here is the only thing I'll do to you, you aren't as smart as I thought you were you hear me?!" came the little muffled scream, which became more of a scream than a muffle when the other kicked the coffin with her foot.
She took out a small note book and pen and wrote in neat print. She handed Tech the little slip of paper that said, 'Sorry about her, is something upsetting you or are you just having a pissy day?' Azora was about to retort but was stopped. 'Don't, you did enough already, do you wanna stay in there longer?' she waited patiently for him to take the note, though she made sure to give a reassuring, slightly charming smile to the new captain, whom she still haven't even introduced herself to. She wasn't about to leave either, because she wanted to be the last one out. She shifted her weight to her other foot, and with the hand that cradled the enormous gun, she switched some parts, took them out, put them in, and then weighted it in her arm, as if to see if it was any lighter.

The sudden burst of air sent shadar spinning into a frenzy. 'Now, I know what a Whirlpool feels like.' His body was spinning rapidly toward the earth. Weakly, shadar tryed to spread his body outward but his limbs just kept being slapped back. "I guess I have no other choice." Pulling out the cork from his mocasin, water began to spray every possible direction around him, creating a aquatic viel. Focusing all energy onto this watery barrier around him, his hydrokinetics went to work. Freezing the water into ice, a form began to appear. Almost as if it were real, it looked like angelic butterfly wings of glittering crystal had sprouted from his back. Stopping the rotation, the descent was the next to due without. Shifting the icy wings from harms way, he yanked the cord. The canopy was approaching at dangerous speeds. With a sudden yank back, the ground began to approach at a more comfortable rate. Shadar spotted a cleaning and made his way for it. The pack was beginning to pull him down quickier so shadar began to melt the icy masses back into water. Sadily as he predicted later technology has its way of turning on him. Perhaps from the sudden jerk of catching the wind, the cords were beginning to unwrap and snap. The canopy was the closest thing to aim for so he did. "Why me?" The teen complained. Approaching a good sized branch shadar caught one of the arm straps for the pack onto the branch. With the sharp, melting ice tips for his wings, he sliced the parachute and let the pack drop onto the branch. Having to slip from the pack to avoid any injury, shadar had to reveal another of his tricks to prevent any heavy casuties. Clapping his hands together, in an almost praying like fashion. The next target for his power was the tree's branchs. Draining the teen of an immense amount of power and energy, the tree cupped the branchs to catch shadar. Luckily, the leaves were soft and prevented him from scraping his skin across the rough bark. Jumping the rest of the distance from open branch to open branch, the control of the tree was released after the pack was dropped to the floor. Shadar fell to his knees. "That took took so much energy." He coughed. After that moves like that, not including the immense power it took to control the water and the courage to pull it off, you could say this was the after effects of such trempous control of his kinesis. Long, deep scratchs began to appear all along shadar's skin. His face, however, remained flawless. Well, at least for now, it would. ((Sorry for being gone for so long and sorry for the novel post. ))

((Its cool. I enjoy reading them.))
Sokato took in the view, the scenery was absolutely amazing and even captured the attention of Sokato, some one who usually does not stop to smell the roses. That quickly passed as he had to deal with the ground that was coming closer by the second. He maneuvered himself in air, moving his head so it points down and drawing his arms in so he could zip through the air moving himself over a tiny clearing in the distance probably thats probably only visible to himself.
He then slows his descent by sticking out his limbs like a big belly flop before pulling the cord. The parachute was a lot different than any of the others. His was comprised of three chutes that looked much like jelly fish. His descent slowed instantaneously. Sokato twirled a little, he was happy that the parachute worked, until around twenty feet... The cord on one of the chutes snapped and he spun fast falling quickly until he hits the ground. The sheets come too the ground covering Sokato.
A couple seconds later, he gets up, taking off the pack and wrestling off the parachute.

Shadar stumbles to his feet. His chi, which is the energy that lets him use his kinesis, would take some time to regenerate, especially since the teen wasn't going to let his body sit and rest. "Ace, Ya need some help?" Yue called, trying to restrain some laughter. He began to approach the parachute mess. Some where in there was his leader. 'This missions going to be interesting.' Thinking to himself, Yue drawed the sword from its sheathe. In a moment's notice, he would slice his commander's enemy, the parachute, to shreds just like his.
