Drake chuckled slightly as he got splashed, but made no attempt to retaliate. "What have I done for so long? And I am sure no one will care very much." He smiled and sat at the edge of the water, letting his legs stay in the water but the rest of his body was out. His whole torso and arms were covered in a countless number of scars and he was quite muscular, but because he normally wore a long sleeve shirt these were things that people normally did not see.

She swam over to rest her head and arms onto a stone, still submerged in the springs itself as she looked up over at him, propping her head up even as her hair dripped onto the rock below her, her waist down hidden by water.
She could make out abit of the scars and muscles, but it wasn't anything one was supposed to bring up. She found it odd she was with him alone and didn't seem to mind. "I mean, why would you feel so strange about feeling emotions? Not negative ones are they? Always good to just enjoy things, take it easy."
"I guess I should get out soon and start gathering some wood. Can't very well have a fire without wood. Well, you can..but it just isn't as pretty." She snickered, shaking her head as she tried not to think about using magic in general.

Drake smiled a bit and looked down at her. "It is a feeling of loneliness... and it doesn't feel very good." He moved some hair from his face. "At the moment, I don't feel it... but lately it nags at me." (Edit smile "But we can wait a moment for the wood and simply relax for a bit."

She nodded, swimming over towards the shore as she helped herself up to start to look for driftwood or anything that might work for the fire itself.
"I know that feeling all too well anymore. Nags at you." She heard his statement and then sat down near him, dangling her feet as well into the water. "I maybe shouldn't have bought such a big house, but the first time I saw it, I loved it."
She crossed her arms over herself, trying to remain warm as she debated sliding back into the water again. "Just have to find some people to keep that feeling at bay."

Drake looked at her and smiled. "I know the feeling, when I first saw my house it reminded me of myself." He chuckled and looked around for some driftwood from his seat. "The only problem with finding people to keep the loneliness at bay is that is all I knew for the longest time. I got so used to it that when somebody starts to get close I enjoys scaring them off." He smiled and stood, walking over to some peices of wood. "And you are far too shy."

"I am not shy. I just choose to be...socially...cautious?" She smiled, standing as she walked over to help him gather some wood herself. "You enjoy scaring people off? Why do it if you don't like being..well, alone so much? I mean, what do you get out of it?"
She smiled, starting to pile it off in a clear spot, away from the grass. "My house is just..comfortable. It sets you at ease, well, least it did for me. Made me want to jump on the couch and just relax. Which was the first thing I did after I got it."

Drake chuckled at her comment. "Well, I would recommend you try to tone down the cautiousness." He picked up a couple of peices of wood and put them into the pile. "And I used to love being alone, it is how I grew up and lived almost my whole life. But recently I can't seem to stand being alone in my house. As for my house... I liked it because of the library it had, filled with ancient books in dead languages."

"Tone down the cautiousness? Why?" She lifted her head up to look over at him after arranging some of the wood and striking a match to light the fire. "Your library sounds very interesting. I used to invade my friends libraries to just read for hours."
She smiled as she sat back, trying to get the campfire to take. "Besides, I'm not being cautious now, am I? Relaxing and all of that." Smiling she laid down on her side, poking at the fire to get it going better. "So, want to tell stories or anything? Talk about urban legends? I have no clue." She took a quick glance up towards the stars as she finally rested back, putting her hands behind her head.
"The peacefulness of the great outdoors. Except for the crackling of the fire and my senseless ramblings." She smiled at her joke, looking over at Drake.

"Well... I suppose you are being rather calm right now." drake said with a smile as he sat down by her, looking into the flames. "I am afraid that I can't remember any good stories right now... what about you?" he looked at Magik with a smile. "Yes, practicly untainted by the hands of mortal creatures..."

"Stories? me?" She grimaced a moment, not sure if she should tell one or perhaps tell a part of her own background. "Calm is good, right?"
She smiled, again tending to the fire. "Mortal or immortal creatures. Any can do too much damage right? So, how long have you lived around here again?"

"Calm is very good." Drake said with a chuckle as he laid on his back. "And you needn't tell a story if you don't want to, but I would so enjoy hearing one." He looked at her with a smile. "I suppose you are right... and I have been here since this place was built."

"I don't really know any stories. Don't know if I talked about my history much before. I've been on my own off and on since age six. Was discovered by the temple of Pelor at age 11. Didn't have much of a chance to listen or make up stories."
"Cool." She closed her eyes, feeling a slight breeze roll in over the springs. "So you're familiar with pretty much everyone here then?"

"Hmm, well that could be an interesting begining to a story." Drake said with a smile as he sat up again. He put his hands to the flame to warm them up a bit. "And I used to know very many people here... but they either left or have stopped talking to me."

She sat up as well, looking over at him as she pulled her legs in towards her chest, resting her head on her knees. "Because of how you scared people off? Sure that's a story in itself."
"Seems like we both want to know about the other, but no one's giving much, aye?" Her smile softened as she directed her gaze back towards the stars.

Drake chuckled lightly. "I suppose you've got me there... I will tell you what, you tell me about yourself and I will tell you about me."
