"Yeah, that'd...that'd be a good idea." cringed the boy as he tossed Blissey Portabello's pokeball. He started to walk outside, unclipping his next and final Pokemon. "We'd definatly need space for this biggie here." As the two were walking along, something started to gnaw at Mike's curiosity.
"Hey Norman, how'm I doing in this fight?" He finally asked, still looking straight ahead. "I know you've been battling since before I was born, and I'd like to know some pointers or just plain compliments if you got any."

Glancing over at Mike he stared at him befor smiling. "You know I am not that old. Anyway your doing a good job. You are just a bit to cocky inside and outside of battle though but thats not a bad thing. And I would recomend you find some sort of medication for your Ampharos though, he seems a bit crazy." He finished off with a chuckle as they walked into a large feild where the rest of the battle would take place.

"He's great isn't he?" Mike laughed as he strolled to his side of the battle, eyeing the passerbys. A battle in public? This'll be great!
Just don't screw up. Milo hissed.
I'm going to pretend that was encouragment, twit.
The boy shook his head to get the voices out, moving the bangs from his eyes. "Your call pal."

Norman grinned as he moved a bit farther away in order to stay away from the battle. "Fair enough." He called as he sent out Furret again. The long pokemon appeared looking somewhat tired but ready for battle. It twisted its long body up and around itself easily making knots of its body then untieing them.

Tossing up his Pokeball with a fiendish laugh, the device opened. Slamming to the ground with a deafening thud was Titanium, Mike's prized Steelix. He smashed the ground multiple times with his tail, each one causing massive tremors as he roared with excitment. His last battle had been far too short, and he looked a little dissapointed at the puny combatent that stood before him.
"Oh drat. Well, I mus'nt underestimate people by size alone, I'm sure you're a powerful little chap."
It almost broke Mike's heart that he had to order his Pokemon to attack his new friend. "Finish it off Titanium, Iron Tail." He said with a frown.
"Sorry buddy!" The Steelix hardened his tail with a metallic shine and slammed it down on the poor Furret.

The small Furret gave a small shreek and huddled together as the tail smashed down on top of it. Thats when the weirdest thing happened, instead of crushing the small pokemon appreantly the attack had missed it as it had ended up in the cracks of Titanium's body doing no damage what so ever. However the fright of the large tail coming down to crush its body had caused the small pokemon to faint anyway. Norman sighed wishing that Furret would have been able to land at least one attack on the mighty pokemon. He pulled out his last pokeball containing his most powerful pokemon and sent it out revealing the lazy Slaking.

"Well, at least I didn't hurt the little thing." Titanium let out a sigh of releif, hoping the little guy could forgive him. He glanced at the Slaking, a shudder sliding down his metallic frame. That I've got no problems beating to a fine mush.
Mike wasn't too fond of Norman's powerhouse Pokemon either, and hoped to get this over with as fast as he could. "Alright buddy, Screech attack!"
The mighty Steelix ground it's jaws together and let out a peircing high pitched shriek that caused the now growing crowd to cover their ears. Mike however remained unaffected as he'd heard it many times before.

Norman groaned slightly at the highpitched sound but didnt' cover his ear's. Slaking just looked mildly annoyed by that and gave Titanium an annoyed look. When the screech ended Norman called out to Slaking knowing it would obey this command. "Slaking use Yawn." Just like he comanded the gorilla like pokemon opened its mouth in a loud yawn a small cloud floated over to the Steelix and went around him a few times making sure that it took affect.

"Bind attack! You can still damage him while you sleep!" Mike shouted, hating this damn pig thing already.
Titanium groggily coiled around the fat smelly Pokemon, squeezing tightly for some damage before the sleep took him.

Upon being wrapped up the Slaking gave an annoyed grunt but didn't do anything. Norman just sighed and knowing Slaking wouldn't obey it anyway he comanded it to do a Scratch attack. Like he predicted the powerful pokemon just yawned and squirmed a bit making itself more comfertable in the steel coils of Titanium.

Mike took to throwing random objects at his Pokemon in attempts to wake him up. The rocks and empty cans that littered the beach bounced off of him with a clanking noise. He threw up his arms, knowing this wasn't going to be pleasent.
At least the Bind attack still worked.

Seeing a can land near it the lazy pokemon picked it up and stuck it in his mouth eatting the can easily. Norman just sighed and shook his head but grinned this time knowing that he could attack, even though it wouldn't do much damage. "Slaking use your Facade!" He shouted. The Lazy pokemon deciding to listen to his trainer glowed slightly befor it unleashed the powerful Facade attack on the large pokemon.

Titanium shook slightly at the attack, muttering something about flies in his dreamy state. Needless to say the attack did little damage on his steel frame.
Mike sat there kicking pebbles around, waiting for his Pokemon to wake up.

All ready figuring this battle to be a long one Norman gave another comand to Slaking that he knew he wouldn't obey. Sure enough the lazy pokemon didn't obey and yawned again not bothering to move from Titaniums coils.

Keegan looked almost disappointedly at the badge in his hands, but sighed, and closed his hand around it. Helios came up to him, looking relieved, and suddenly Keegan felt it too. He was glad he didn't have to watch his beloved Vulpix get pummeled into oblivion, nor continue to attack the Makuhita with fire.
The boy put the badge on his shirt, gave it a shine, and also tucked away the money. He still held the TM in his hands, not sure of what to do with it. As far as he knew, none of his Pokemon could benefit from it. He quickly put that away too, and he made his way towards Kasiya and Violet, a grin starting to appear on his face. "Thanks," he said, looking to Violet as she spoke. His heart skipped a bit as he looked at her. "That sounds really... nice," he managed to choke out, hoping he hadn't gone red in the cheeks yet.
Brawly, on the other hand, merely returned Violet's smile. "You're on," he said, before he gave a slight bow. "I'm outta here," he said with a wave. "You ever want a rematch, Keegan, just show up. I'll be here." And with that, the gym leader retreated through a door at the back of the room.
