 Nikolai gave only the slightest of grunts. "I know...." He said, and pulled out the journal, opening it up. Inside, pages upon pages of notes spelled out the dangers that the doppleganger did. "This guy...is powerful. VERY powerful. Changing into dragons....warping time and space...." He looked up at Maya, then the man, and smiled. "But there is cause for this madness....does Lena know of a young man named, Hiro?" he said as he turned a page, a white haired man's picture was pinned to the journal. "He appears a lot in this book....and a lot of them have him and Lena hurting Nikolai beyond repair." He said with a quizzical look. "and I am only going to ask THIS once; what did you and Lena see at the graveyard after my Resurrection that made you think I was this....this maniac??" ((Holy cow, sorry for the wait. It was final's week and slept all day yesterday and today.)

Adrian Darcy Adrian scoffed incredulously, unable to believe how stupid people could be. "Can you not listen?" the Scotsman asked, more irritated than offended. Lena made him promise not to say anything, so he couldn't, but he couldn't hold his tongue much longer. "For God's sake, even I know that that's a load of bullsh-t. Hiro and Lena hurting Nikolai beyond repair? More like the other way around. She's still hurting from what happened, and so is Dragon. It's all Nikolai's fault that anything happened to them!" His voice shook in anger as his aura reddened more than usual. "You moron! I can't believe an idiot like you ever- No, I won't give you the satisfaction of knowing what I know." He backed away, eyes glaring at the two. "You will keep away from Lena, or I will do everything in my power to ensure that when you finally die, you will go straight to Hell, where creatures like you belong." With one last angry glare, he turned and started outside, walking towards a bright red Ferrari 458 with a peculiar insignia on the hood in place of the usual Ferrari logo.
He would rather die than let them know what he knew about Lena and Nikolai's former relationship, that Nikolai had gotten her pregnant and married her, only to leave and return after she'd finally moved on to someone else and force the relationship to end once more. He wouldn't say how Nikolai's son, Dragon, was so jaded because of Nikolai himself, and that Dragon hated all men and his own mother because of this, and couldn't trust anyone. Most of all, Adrian wouldn't say how the pregnant Lena was still frightened of Nikolai further ruining her life, of chasing away her new husband that she loved more than life itself, and how she hated Nikolai so violently, that her very body trembled in anger at the thought of him.

"Well then how about this....will you tell Lena that I won't deliberately come within a hundred square feet of her if she tells Maya why?" he tucked the journal away. "I'm not trying to hurt her, or you, or the child, really I am not. I just want to know why you guys hate me when its this other guy that's been hurting this school's patrons. I'll go to Hell and drag myself out if its what it takes to get the answer!" he said, the runes on his blade's sheath burning a dark red, greatly contrasting the green "Hush Zephry." He murmered to himself, and the sword calmed down. "What will it take to at least get something as small as a letter explaining what he did? at least then I could do SOMETHING to make up for it! I know lots of magic now because of classes, I could give you money. Hell, I could even make your weapons so sharp you could keep the sheathes on and it still cut Dragon bone!" he took a step forward for one last answer. "Mr.....please." he said, and took a long, deep breath. "Whatever he was, I am not. Whatever he has done,I have not. If it makes you feel better, and makes the only people at this school tolerate me, Ill accept his consequences. Have Lena torture me; YOU torture me! Chain me, slash me, do anything to rid me of this....this...bane I have been stuck with." He sat down on one knee. "I am not a threat to anyone but those who wrong the ones who do not deserve to be wrong. Please, what will it take for me to at least get an answer....a speech, a sentence, a word, a sound a verb, a note, a phonecall I dont care! just....something I can make right." He said, looking up at the man.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~All of the frustration and strength went out of Maya as she listened to the man and Nikolai speak. Nikolai's desperation was also making her feel uneasy. He was willing to put himself in a situation where he would be hurt and he would do nothing about it. Just who was this girl Lena? And the man Hiro, what has he done to make Nikolai an enemy? The thoughts swirling through Maya's head were making her dizzy. It was a little much for her. Maya turned her head for a moment to face Nikolai. His expression made her want to reach out and say something to comfort him, but she didn't think it was the correct time. Instead, she turned back to face the man. "Do not let anyone hurt Nikolai," she said, attempting to keep her voice calm. "He will go nowhere near Lena, but I still need to know what happened. By not letting me see her you are putting not just Nikolai, but also myself in danger. Whether it was Nikolai or Hiro who hurt her, I need to know how to protect myself, whoever it may be. Please let me meet her so we can all finally figure out who the liars are. Of course, I'm biased, but I will believe what is proven to me."Maya looked down and closed her eyes. So this is what it feels to be truly afraid?

Adrian DarcyAdrian was well on his way to tugging his keys from his pocket, fuming and ready to go home and spend time with people who could actually think well enough to understand him, when he was stopped by Nikolai's pleading. He turned just enough to watch the man fall onto one knee, begging for a chance to make things right. The Horseman was silent, then sighed deeply and turned to full face the man. "Get up," he ordered, kicking out one foot just a bit in a gesture that was more annoyed than anything else. "And listen closely. You will not see Lena, and I won't be able to even bring it up with her until after the child is born. She practically forced me to hide her away just so she could be kept away from you, and I'm afraid that it isn't my decision to tell you what exactly happened. But the girl," he continued, eyes flickering to Maya, the red orbs glowing just as brightly as before, "may speak with her. I can't guarantee anything, and the trek there will be long and difficult, but you may come. I must warn you, though. Lena is currently in a realm that drains powers almost completely, leaving only the barest behind. It is to weaken any intruders who dare to enter, and to give its warriors a fighting chance. All of your gifts will return upon leaving, but you will not be the same. The only protection you will have in War's Realm will be me. Can you trust me?"
Adrian crossed his arms once more as he waited for an answer, hearing Augustus curse at him in his mind. He knew that Augustus didn't like people entering his kingdom, and had even caused a stir about letting Lena stay, but Adrian didn't care. If this would keep these brats out of his hair after they got their answers, he would do it. However, he sincerely wished that Lena hadn't insisted on staying in War's Realm. Of course, it wasn't too bad, since War remained among the most powerful in his dominion, but it was still rather annoying for the Horseman. Everything was annoying these days.

Nikolai, however, was not seeming to have any problems with him, so she decided she wouldn't either. "As long as Nikolai is unharmed, I will trust you." She bowed in her sincerest form. "Thank you."

Nikolai got up and gritted his teeth as his sword, Zephyr, began to stir once more. "if It is a chance to right the wrong, I will not object to it....but, is there anything I can do? I don't want to put Maya into danger because of me. Just.....please do your best to protect her..." he looked at Maya. "And please protect yourself....you're the only friend i have here so far and...I can't bear to think to loose you...." He said and looked at Adrian. "Alright, I will stay; right here in fact. I will...I dunno, watch TV or something. Maybe even go to the park. I won't come anywhere close to wherever it is you are going; you have my word as a knight." he said and crossed his arm across his chest, stuck his leg out in front of him and leaned back: A bow that he used to promise things to people in Nobility. "be safe..." he whispered to Maya.

Snapping back, she decided to give him a favor before she would leave him, even if he wouldn't see it as anything more than a friend to a friend gesture. Maya kissed Nikolai on the cheek and whispered back, "You have my promise, sir knight."Then she turned back to the man she still could not name. "I guess I'm ready when you are."

Adrian Darcy"Nikolai is not my charge," was all he replied to Maya before nodding at the man. "I'll do my best to take care of her, though. However, I can't promise we'll be back soon. In fact, it will take a little over a week to walk there, and the same amount to walk back. It really is quite a long walk." The Horseman blinked at the bow, then rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Knight. Yeah, sure" With a shake of the head, he turned back to his car and pressed on a button on the clicker connected to his keys. The car chirped as it unlocked, and he reached down to open the passenger side. "Please, get in," he said to the young woman. "If we're gonna go, we should go now."
With one mocking bow, he tipped an imaginary hat and smirked. "The name's Adrian, and if you get mud in my horse, I'll kick your scrawny arse out." TeddyAssassin33 That's why the trip will take so long. Strikercharge By the time she gets back, Adrian and Maya will have gotten there.

He stroked the hood of the car, which practically purred under the warm touch of those large hands. "Don't let the make and model of the car fool you. Albion's a real live-wire, and about as delicate as steel. He'll kick you out himself if you get him dirty." He nodded once more as the engine pretty much barked at the girl, and he moved away to go the driver's side. "Get in already. We've got a long way to go."

"Oh come on, I don't want your respect," he replied, touching his finger to a button on the door that lowered the windows. "If I wanted that, you'd be boring this whole trip. How old are you, 17?" He asked, his hair jostled by the wind.
