I can't really say the same here--I'm more of an RPG and action guy. So the Playstation and the PC tend to be my system if choice...
Actually, a new Fire Emblem and Paper Mario are coming out on the Wii, as is Red Steel, an action game where you have both a sword and gun, using the remote to aim.
Though, I see what you mean, Sony always have the games that appeal to all, even if some of them are bad, others are amazing. Luckily for me, Final Fantasy 12 will be out for the PS2, a game I am seriously getting day one. I played a demo at a Gamestop I go to, and while you can almost literally program the game to play
itself, it's very solid, and that 'auto-gaming' option (called Gambit) can be turned off. Instead of the old FF ways, it's more of an action RPG. You're able to run on the field, actually get out of the way of spells and attacks, and attack when, what, and where you want. It's really sweet. Can't wait.
