Rajei nodded and smiled. She fell silent and kept walking, holding his hand.

Rajei followed him in and sat down on the bed.
Rei had been walking through the town as a wolf, as she'd transformed shortly after leaving the restaurant. She turned into an alley and started trying to take it for a shortcut. Suddenly, some men, clearly hunters, who had been following her, grabbed their weapons and headed after her. One came up and kicked her hard so she landed against the wall. She tried to fight but the men kept kicking her and beating her up with their weapons.

Kai sat down next to her. He suddenly was aware that they were alone.
Tabris screeched and fell onto the men, slashing and ripping at them.

Rajei looked around. "Where's Tabris?" she asked.
Rei was unconscious.
The men stabbed at Tabris. One man picked up Rei to get her back to their hideout.

"I don't know. I guess she's flying around," Kai said.
Tabris ignored the men attacking her and flew at the man who was carrying Rei.

Rajei nodded. "Maybe she's with Rei," she said.
The man pulled out a sword and began slashing at Tabris.
Rei was getting weak. She started transforming into her human form.

Tabris tried to pull Rei away from the man.

The man still slashed at Tabris. The way he held Rei it would be difficult for her to pull her away.
Rei was weak enough then that she transformed into a human. The man smirked when he saw he was actually holding a human girl.

Tabris didn't care that she was getting sliced up. She tried to smack his sword arm away and bite his shoulder.

The man kept slashing at her. When she tried to bite his shoulder he tried to stab her mouth. He kept a tight hold on Rei.

The man slashed at Tabris's neck and her other weak spots.
Another man came up behind her and slashed at her back.
