"Yeah, what about it?" he asked as he stopped a few feet from her. His bag still slung over his shoulder. Just close enough for a good kick, but just far enough that he'd be able to catch the kick if she tried.

"What're you doing here, and why're you working for the Mob?" Sarah asked the other hero bluntly, and with a tone that was obviously distrustful.

"Easiest way to loose tailers." he replied simply. "As for my new employers, they found me. Didn't seem like the type to take no for an answer, and I'm really not in the mood to bust skulls." he said, then paused for a beat. "What's it to you? Don't recognize the costume."

"Not from your version of New York. In mine... The Mob doesn't like me," Sarah said, before sending a swift kick Sabertooth's way; she wasn't sure why she did it... It felt like a matter of impulsiveness.

Just because Victor was making polite small talk didn't mean he was relaxed enough to be so open for an attack. The moment her body tensed up, his reflexes kicked in. When her body began to twist to the side and her arms pulled towards her, his arm snapped out for either a kick, or a retreat.
It was a kick, and it struck his arm. In turn he grabbed the offending leg and flipped it into the air, intending to just flip the girl over.

Sarah did something Victor wouldn't expect; as she flipped, she actually kicked him in the chin with her other foot before smoothly backflipping and landing in a crouched, defensive stance.
"You're fast," she said, her eyes focused and her gaze hard.

Victor's head snapped upwards with the kick. He rubbed his jaw and looked back down at her with a small grin. "You're not that bad yourself." he replied smoothly. "We're not going to make a thing out of this though, are we? I just told you I wasn't in the mood to bust up anything."

"Why would you bother? I've heard you rip people apart from shits and giggles; subtlety isn't exactly your style, I'm guessing," Sarah retorted, very slowly shifting her stance to another defensive position.

"And if I said there were more than one Sabertooth? You said yourself 'from your New York." he replied.
He had a feeling though that he wasn't going to talk the girl out of it. Just from the smell she was giving off, she was itching for a fight. Probably followed him all the way here just for that.

Confusion flashed in Sarah's gray eyes for a moment, and she recoiled reflexively, as if expecting him to suddenly attack her for her loss of focus...
Except he didn't. And that threw her off. She looked at him, and slowly, very, very slowly, stood up straight and let her guard down.
"More than one... Impossible..." she said; it was obvious she didn't know much about the Merged Multiverse's... new inhabitants.

"You need to do a little more investigating then, kid. I've seen no less than two different spider-men in the papers. Ones older, the other's smaller build and probably younger. I've seen two different Deadpools...Electros...Shocker and someone else calling himself the Shocker....Some people made it here, some didn't, and some have too many of themselves in here." he replied. Since she seemed to relax, he let his posture drop a bit too. Just to show that he wasn't in the mood to fight her. Of course...if she attacked him again, then he was done talking.
