Lin thought she saw him..no...her eyes widened as she stepped closer to him..realizing yet again that he was tall as hell. Her eyes narrowed in curiousity and for a moment she was invincible again...able to ask any question...withstand any emotion...
"You care about me?" She said in a tiny voice as she looked up at him.

Kamahl still kept his gaze at the sidewalk. He was a bit flushed in the face.

Her eyes glistened for a second...a small but rapid thundering started in her chest.
"I care for you too..." She whispered. Letting the words tumble out like a ton of bricks...it was his kindess after all that kept her from running, hsi enthusiasm that kept her with a roof over her head and his smile that made her motivated to keep trudging...all in three little days....How could this possibly be she though.

He turned his gaze back to her. His face wasn't as red as it was a few seconds ago. Oddly enough, Kamahl was speechless right now. Kamahl opened his mouth but no words came out. He stood there for a few moments, deep in thought.
"I don't know what to say..."

Kamahl sighed and walked over to a nearby bench. It was in front a store that was closed. Hopefully, nobody would mind if he sat there. Thoughts ran through his mind at this moment. He didn't know what to say or do at the moment.

She walked over to him and sat on the bench near him.
"You dont have to say anything." She stared down at her hands.
"All you need to ever say to me is go and I'l go...no questions asked..until then I assume you're ok with me around."

He looked out as the ran fell outside the canopy above them.

She stepped out a bit and stared up at the rain allowing it to hit her face and run down her eyelashes. The rain was always her favorite thing.
" I love the rain." She mumbled..

He watched as Lin walked out into the rain.
"My mood determines how I feel about the rain, as odd as it sounds."
Kamahl rubbed his hands together.

"How does it make you feel right now?"
She asked as she moved closer trying to look in his eyes. Something about all this made her pulse flutter but her curiousity made her brave.

Kamahl made eye contact with Lin. All the while he was still thinking about what else to say or what to do. He really wasn't the kind of person to jump at the spur of the moment.

"Calm is good" She answered. "Happy is better." She smiled.
She stood up again and held her hads out and spun once.
"I haven't felt this alive..since.." Her arms dropped to her sides.
"I was with Esmee..."

" We would spin and spin and spin...until we couldnt see straight. There wasn't a moment without laughter..." She caught the blank look in his eye and her pulse quickened again and suddenly she absentmindedly sat, her knees giving out. Her butt made a loud SWANK on the ground with the water and concrete.
"Ow." She muttered hiding the expression on her face.
