Tomo walked inside through the back door in just a pair of torn denim shorts. He poured himself a glass of iced tea from the refrigerator and leaned against the counter as he wiped some sweat from his forehead.

"Mystery berry?" she asked, popping one in her mouth. "It's not quite safe for me to eat them, since the man who let me pick them say it's a new magical side-affect with each one... "she said, feeling very odd. "Is there something on my face?" she asked, feeling it with her hand. Quite fully, a beard had grown in, and she couldn't help but laugh. "You look fantastic.." she said, quite obviously oogling. The beard vanished within 30 seconds.

Tomo laughed and walked over to Cass, hugging her gently. "You silly girl." He teased, kissing her sweetly. "And thanks. I've actually been working on not looking like a twig this summer." It was true. The young cat boy was sporting a small six pack... Well, really it was more like a four pack, but it was getting there. He picked up a berry and arched a blonde eyebrow at it. "I'm terrified and curious at the same time."

Cass tried not to melt against him with his kiss, and she also 'tried' to not look impressed. "I see." she replied, lips pursed, as she tried to 'not care'. "I think that's the whole reason for them. Which outways itself? The curiosity for a few seconds or minutes of hillairousness, or.. The knowing that it'd be a really stupid idea to eat it."

"The blonde part of me is telling me there's nothing wrong with it. This leads me to believe it shouldn't be trusted." Tomo said before a shrug. He popped it in his mouth, "But what does my voice of reason know?" He paused for a few moments. "Do I... look any different?" He asked, not seeming to notice his eyes were reminiscent of glow sticks at the moment.

"Why, you're neon!" she exclaimed, stepipng close,r and taking his face in her hands. "How odd..." she said, her curiosity growing. "I wonder if it only does appearances...." she thought outloud. Cass continued to hodl his face in her hands, as her eyebrow quirked curiously.

"Huh?" Tomo didn't know why he was blushing, but he was! With his head still in her hands, he groped around for a spoon and held it up to his eyes, "Holy cow! That's so cool!" He exclaimed, wagging his tail happily.

Cass's eyes stared directly at Tomo's, as apposed to in them, but one could not tell the difference. Her hands were gentle, but held his face still. "That is magnificient.." she said softly, watching the effect fade.

Tomo blinked a few times as his eyes returned to normal. "Hmm... Now I want another." He said, picking up another one. "But what will it doooo?" he sang, turning his head to kiss her palm before eating another. This one's effects were almost immediate as a pair of cartoon butterfly wings appeared on his back. He didn't see since he still had his chin in her hands.

With a quick sound kiss, she let him go, and oogled. "Weeeeird..." she said, like a seven year old watching something new. "Can I touch 'em?" she asked, poking it a litle before his apporval was granted.

Tomo twisted around to look at them "Ooh..." He murmured, flexing them. "Go ahead and touch them." He murmured, amazed that he could actually feel through them. Not bad for cheap temporary magic.

"Amazing.." she said, holding one to her cheek. "Too bad it goes away fast." she said, smiling to Tomo, as she enjoyed the look of happiness and sheer entertainment upon Tomo's face.

Tomo nodded, watching them shimmer away like glitter. "Maybe if I eat more than one at a time." He said, grabbing a whole handful. Without much of a second thought, he stuffed them all in his mouth at once, chewed, and swallowed, "They really are delicious." He commented as he turned his head to the side to wait for a reaction. Slowly, his skin began to darken a little until it was a pleasant blue color. As if he had been attacked by a group of marker crazed toddlers. "Oh shoot! I read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! This doesn't look good."

"Well, just incase you e'splode and don't come back.." she said quickly, with a firm kiss, and her hands holding onto his back. She stepped back, and frowned. "I don't know what's happening...." she said, though still calm.

Tomo put his arms around her and kissed back, nuzzling at her neck when he was done. "I'm not gonna 'splode." He assured her, looking down at his abdomen. "I hope not, anyway." He poked his belly a few times. Yep, still a twig. "I don't think anything's gonna happen, though. I think I'm just blue."
