I am going to have access to a car. I'm going to be staying with my uncle for the week. He was talking about possibly going to the Polynesian Cultural Center (think that's what it's called), the Pearl Harbor Memorial, maybe taking his canoe out for a spin somewhere and going to ..... some volcano (don't remember the name sweatdrop ). What we do pretty much just depends on how much money I bring.
d**k, we could totally party. I would love to hit up a bar or two while I'm there.

Yeah, the Polynesian Cultural Center is a common thing to do. I've never been but I've heard its fun. I'm guessing your Uncle meant Diamond Head, it is the only well known volcano on this island. I suggest North Shore in general and the Pali.
I'd like to meat up, but I'll be flying home to the Big Island sometime near the end of July. When are you coming over?

Throughout my time I have been questing, seeking, searching for a top hat. A good top hat, more classic than the one I bought at a formal wear store ages ago. A good, classic, silk top hat is hard to find and even then, really expensive. $90 is a cheap hat. Most of them are felt. So it is with great pleasure that I celebrate knowing many of the local designers, because guess what one of them has decided to start doing? If you've guessed mailing angry attack gerbils en masse to the Scientology center downtown, you would be incorrect. She is trying her hand at millinery! Practicing for ages she is not ready to sell....well slightly miniature sized hats, but then she's a pretty gothy designer. Goths like hats a bit on the small size. I'm ok with this. I get a custom made hat at a Friend Discount. How much is that? A LOT.
I am in such a good mood today!

Newscaster Billy Batson When are you coming over? Near the end of July sweatdrop The 18th-26th. And a miny top hat sounds ludicrously cool.

She's going to have it ready for me by Bastille day so that I can be fashionably dressed for the massive party I'm probably going to. 4laugh Anyone in Minneapolis want to come? It's hosted by the Alliance Francaise. Quote: AF, French-American Chamber of Commerce and Minnesota Opera for the French-est Bastille Day celebration in town at the MN Opera Center (620 First Street N, Minneapolis). Admission includes catered French food, wine, live French music, mimes, children's entertainment, vintage Citroen cars and more!

Okay, LADY I do not know when this is going on sale again. You said yourself that you knew it was on sale 20 dollars cheaper yesterday. You also wanted the matching bracelet which is for some reason still at event price. If I were you and I wanted it so badly, I'd damn well order it before they put it back at it's correct/regular price but nah.. it's easier to ask me 100 questions which all amount to the same thing which is "when are the earrings going on sale?" I've told you 5 times that I have no pre-knowledge of sales. I only know if something is on sale if I look at it and SEE that it's on sale. We don't get a schedule or a memo saying "hey,.. stupid overpriced earrings are on sale!" No, there is no way for me to find out and no I can't call you when they are and no I can't even give you an estimate on how long "between sales " a particular line of jewelry might have. "Is it every 3 months, every month"? LADY I DON'T KNOW AGH! You talk to me like I'm some sort of moron but aghhhhhhhh also, am I just "not hip" because I think that whole line of jewelry is way overpriced and really not all that great yet it was selling like crazy yesterday on event prices (which were still not all that great) case in point this necklace. You're paying 80 bucks plus shipping for a moon pendant on a black cord? Don't forget the matching bracelet. Oh dear, I'm sorry the silver donut on a black cord bracelet for 30 bucks plus ship is sold out. Lord knows I sold tons yesterday. I must be entirely out of touch with fashion. gonk

What bars do you hit up d**k? I'm not a big bar/club person myself (as I hate most people), but I know of many and know many people that work at various Honolulu Bars.

I try to avoid places like Senior Frogs and The Varsity due to the fact that EVERY kid I coach would see me there. Ha! Can't have the HPU kids seeing a drunk coach right?
My sunday mornings are spent at The Shack, nothing better than Kegs and Eggs in my opinion. Hawaii Kai is a great place to hang around. Ummm, Henry Loui's down in Mapunapuna is scary the first time due to it being surrounded by warehouses and a 'locals' place really. xDD
Brew Moon is chill, RumFire is a good night club-ish place, they tore The Wave down awhile back which is BS...stupid condos. But basically I try to avoid some of the major places because (even though i'm not a local) tourists annoy the hell out of me.

Tourist annoy the hell out of me too.
I visit Pipeline and The Irish Rose the most often, and only because I know large portions of the staff at either. Senior Frogs is blah and Varsity is alright, they use to have $5 pitchers but I don't know if that is still happening. It is also within walking distance of Bubbies so it gets bonus points for that, but it has too many HPU and UH kids - obviously. My personal favorite is the Kona Brew Pup in Hawaii Kai because it reminds me of home and I love Long Boards. whee
