Hello!
Im a sophomore in high school Central Union High School to be exact (home of the GREAT Spartan band) and our band consist of about 200 people. Im hoping to be a squad leader next year and then (highly doubt it) a section leader my following year!
Last school year we were invited to go to Mardi Gras to be in the Bachus parade (and another one, but the name of it escapes me at the moment) and it was a huge deal in our city. So because of a high school band, El Centro now has their own 'Mardi Gras Parade'.
Its nothing like the real one but its cool to see how other graduates get all excited.
The experience being in a marching band is like having your own personal family at school. I LOVE BEING A BAND NERD! x]

Hello fellow clarinetist!!!!!!! i've just strted playing in december of 08 and now im first chair and section leader!i'm still in six grade, i love my clarinet(i named it daisy), and my band director is sooo awesome!!!! You rock Mr. E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I'm Christina. I just joined this guild ^^ It seems pretty awesome! I play clarinet (obviously) in Concert Band, Marching Band, and Pep Band =D Yeah, i'm a total band nerd, lol Well, nice to meet you all!

hello :] im sabrina, and i have been playing clarinet for 3 years . And very Proud actually . I haven't been playing for 7 years like some people have posted that they have on Here... O.o But i am quite good for just 3 years . Im in advanced and i love clarinet ! smile

My name is Emily and I'm a senior in high school. I'm First Chair and section-leader and I'm president of the band. Our band isn't too great (everyone lacks motivation) but we still have fun. I've been playing for about 8 years and it's been a fun run. I'll be playing clarinet next year at college, and I cannot WAIT to graduate!

Hello all. I'm a freshman at Shaler High school and have been playing for about 6 years. I've just joined marching band this year and currently hold 3rd chair in symphoinc band. but that might change if wind ensemble auditions go well *crosses fingers*. hello! ^^ Yahh... i play clarinet at my middle school. (Im in 7th grade)(i just passed the teen thing!) I've been playing for 4 years. My mom played clrainet, my grandma played clarinet. I'm 1st chair in my band! ^^ I also have privite lessons! :] I <3 my clarinet. i have 2. One black and one red. =]

(i guess since we all are being formal...lol) my name is Ash i've been playin for six years now doin pretty good so far but i sorta just got a new clarinet which is a huge step up for me cuz i've been on a rinky dinky beginners forever...but i'm not really sure what is the best reed for it. its a yahmaha allegro (wooden just sayin if there is a plastic one) and i am plain with a 3 1/2 vandorin (however you spell it) reed but not sure if its the best i dont know what to really test either. so if someone could kinda lead me in the right direction that would be awesome.
crazy as it might sound since im askin about reeds x_x i am also trying to get into tutoring and there are some things im not aware of. what are some things that would be good to run by students other than scales?
