*during the dinner, Amy was so quiet that he started to think that she might be upset with him again. When they went back up to their room and she changed to her pajamas, he was surprised to see that she had left the necklace he made her on, and she was wearing his boxers again. He smiled as he changed to his pajamas, knowing that she wouldn't do that if she were upset.
Leaving the bathroom after changing, he saw her sitting in one of the chairs, looking out over the lake* So, about the bed situation... I know there's two in here, but I was thinking that we could share this one... *sits on the bed closest to the window as he speaks*

Amy turned her head toward Karrie and started to smile brightly. "Really, you want to? I'm glad, Karrie. I'd love to share the bed with you."
With a big and bright smile on her face, she hopped over to the bed, which wasn't far from the chair, and flopped back on it next to Karrie, who was still sitting.
"That lake is gorgeous. You know, if, um, we ever get really serious, WAY in the future, I could buy a place out here with some more of my mom's money and we could visit here a lot. I've traveled all over this country and I've never seen a place I've wanted to settle down in until now. I know, I'm doing the number 1 no-no girlfriend thing, but after looking out at the lake, I just wanted to share that with you. Even if you don't come out here with me, I still think I'd like to buy a place out here. It's the perfect place for me."
She looked at his pants and smiled. "I really like those pants on you, Karrie. They're a good color for you, and they look really comfortable."

Amy and Karrie got under the covers and went to sleep. Amy laid facing the window so she could look out at the lake. She made sure she didn't kiss Karrie good night. She was going to try and hold herself back now. She didn't want to completely give herself over and have things end badly because Karrie might not feel as strongly for her as she did for him. It obviously wasn't his fault if he didn't, but she also didn't want to put herself in the position to be really hurt. But she'd still have a lot of fun during this vacation. They both would. There was no rule that you had to kiss to have fun, obviously.
Amy almost fell instantly asleep since she hadn't slept at all the night before. She thought about Thistle briefly and hoped she was doing okay. She had told her that she wasn't allowed at MW anymore and, so, Amy wouldn't visit there anymore, either. She didn't go into details on why, though. She didn't want Thistle to feel bad. She was afraid she might have guessed, though. She hoped she was doing okay.
Before she fell asleep, she felt Karrie moved closer to her and wrap his arms around her. She smiled and rested her arms over his. She caught herself, though, when she felt her heart beginning to lift again. She mentally told herself to calm down and be happy, but don't get carried away.

Meanwhile, Thistle was at Kits and was miserable. She missed Amy so much and she didn't like the thought of so many people not liking her around. Amy just said she couldn't go to MW anymore and that she wouldn't, either, but Thistle figured it was because MW people didn't like her being around. Why else could she not go back? The only thing she had done recently was deliver a letter to Ryzan. She hadn't touched or harmed anything.
Thistle had a pillow that she had brought with her to Kits'. She had had the pillow for a couple months. It had Amy's voice recorded on it. All she had to do was press or hit the center of the pillow and it'd play her voice for her. Thistle had been playing it practically all day. She'd tap it and then lay her chin on it. Even Smok couldn't pull her away from her pillow to play.
When Velcore and Kits came back from their party, she didn't even look up at them. She didn't care. They weren't Amy. Even her pillow was losing the scent of Amy and their home. She wanted it back.
When everyone had gone to bed, Thistle started to cry. She wasn't loud about it, but big fat tears started to roll down her blue cheeks. She had changed back to blue hours ago, though she didn't know how. She wouldn't have even realized it if Smok hadn't started freaking out earlier and pointed at a mirror. Thistle looked into it and just sighed when she saw she was blue again.
She must have been sniffling loudly, though, because Velcore was suddenly beside her, nuzzling her. She was slightly comforted at first, but then she smelled Dame on him. She whined sadly and wiggled away from him with her pillow. Smelling Dame just reminded her of MW and Velcore didn't even seem upset that she couldn't go over there anymore! {{Like owner like pet. rolleyes lol}}
It didn't take long for Kits to come out and pick up Thistle. Thistle made sure to grab her pillow in her mouth. Kits took Thistle to her bed to sleep, but Thistle didn't sleep very well. The bed didn't smell like Amy. Even when she slept at Karrie's, Amy's scent was in his bed, usually because Amy was in it.
Thistle tried not to push her pillow since Kits was trying to sleep, but it was hard not to. Even when she fell asleep, it was a restless sleep and she kicked slightly. Luckily, she was far away from Kits, so she didn't kick her accidentally.

*walks with Seth to dame's apartment to visit Draa. He brought the letter dame had written with him so that Draa could read it for himself and see what all he needed to do. When he knocks on the door, he hears scratching on the other side and sighs. As he's about to ask Draa to come up to the window, Seth approaches and asks him to move to the side and keep watch for anyone approaching. He does as he asks while Seth kneels by the door and picks the lock, then they let themselves in.
Ryzan then turns Draa back into a dark elf and waits for him to dress before giving him the letter.*
A job!?!! Are you dosib kidding me!? gonk stressed
It really would be best, Draa...
pft... you and Tes still have gems and whatnot from Norrath. Can't you take care of the bills?
If you wish to be thought of as more independent, then you really ought to be more self-sufficient.
How in the hell am I supposed to hold down a job when I keep changing back into a grunny? stressed

*after going around the apartment while Draa read the letter, making sure all the windows and blinds were closed and there were no ways for people outside to see in, he returns to the livingroom where Ryzan and Draa are and has a seat in one of the chairs. The black widow pendant glows briefly, after which his skin gradually turns an ashen blue color, his hair fades to a greyish-white, his ears turn pointed, and his facial features become sharper and less "child-like". He carefully takes out his blue contacts, revealing the grey eyes beneath, and puts the contacts in a case he had in his pocket and tosses the headphones he keeps carrying around off to the side. Relaxing back in the chair, he breathes a sigh of relief*
Anything in there about me?

*smiles widely at seeing Tes in his dark elf form again. He takes the letter from Draa and hands it to Tes, sitting on the arm of the chair as he reads it*
I still do not understand what that phone call was to accomplish. It seemed to have done nothing, jhal at least she was able to be released on bail due to Decorera attesting their marriage.
This "get a job" thing is complete BS, though stare
If you wish to have others always take care of you, then why not return to being a grunny and live that way?

Nau, jhal you seem to prefer being treated like you cannot take care of yourself. If such is the case, then you may as well be in the appropriate form for such.

Jabbress wants her establishment to be thought of as legitimate. She cannot afford to oppose the law, especially when it could ves well cost her the man she loves.

If she thinks she can be a "legitimate" business owner while sitting on and throwing around all that dirty money, then she's only fooling herself. And you know she's still got contacts and connections with people to do her dirty work if she deems such "jobs" must be done.
I think by "legitimate", she really means that she isn't so obviously involved with under-the-table deals and unscrupulous activities and is now just the invisible driving force.
Or she lets everyone else handle "the business" and just calls in favors when she wants/needs them. She has to be giving them something in return to be able to keep this loyalty, though. Even if all she's doing is giving them money, she's still indirectly responsible for the things they're doing by funding them.
She might not think of it that way, though stare
Hence why I said she's fooling herself.
*crosses his arms and looks up at Ryzan*
It starts to matter when that relationship is affecting her and the people around her. If she wasn't involved with Doughboy, he and Officer Showoff wouldn't have even been able to stay in the bar long enough to arrest dame in the first place. MW wasn't always just a namesake. It was once a safe haven for the "hooligans" to go and not get hassled by the boys in blue. Now it's just another bar.
tch... say that around Psy and you're likely to get cursed again.
That's because she doesn't want to accept that she's going soft. She thinks taking it out of me proves her "toughness", but it just means she only knows how to lash out at me specifically. If it was anyone other than me, she'd probably break down in tears and roll out the excuses rolleyes

She is happy, Quortek. Even if she is changing, she is happy with that change. You may not believe she is, jhal it is not your place to say whether she is truly happy or not. Only she can determine that.
Rilu'oh... *takes Tes' hand*... on the subject of relationships affecting others, I am not sure how well people will take the idea of me "having an affair" with "Seth". That rivvil illusion makes you look quite young and after professing my love for you...

... after professing my love for you as often as I have only to involve myself with "another man" so soon after your "disappearance" may be quite shocking to some. katana has taken the idea quite well, jhal that is due largely to her involvement with Decorera. With him having announced that he is married to dame and her still being involved with him anyway, she seems to feel she is in a similar situation and therefore can relate.
Fair dame on the other hand.... she did not seem to like the idea. Hopefully it will not come down to her believing my choice to inevitibly have an affair with "Seth" is of any fault of her own. She has enough burdens without the weight of this to additionally shoulder. Jabbress and jallil similarly will have objections because, as far as they are aware, I will be having an extramarital relationship.... something of which neither of them approve. I may be able to curb their negative thoughts on the matter by invalidating our marriage, j.... jhal... *frowns and hangs his head*

We... *squeezes Tes' hand harder* ... we do not have as ample opportunity to see each other as we once did and this is one of the few places we can go without the worry of being seen...
*groans* You know, I wanted to move out so I didn't have to put up with you two getting all touchy-feely-mushy around me stare

*initially after waking, he's a bit confused by his surroundings, but quickly remembers where he is. He turns to his side, finding Ryzan laying there asleep next to him, unclothed and looking perfectly content. Smiling at the sight, he slowly pets his cheek until he wakes.*

*Ryzan giggles a little and sleepily nuzzles him*

*Ryzan smiles bashfully and nods, though it takes a while longer for either of them to actually take the initiative to get out of bed. After showering, they dress with the same clothes they were wearing last night and have breakfast together, Draa joining them after a while. Ryzan reminds Draa to go over dame's instructions in the letter again and take care of everything that needs to be. Draa says he'll do it Monday morning. They also discuss when a good time to send Draa to get his mask would be since he'll be needing it if he is to get a job.
Ryzan then remembers he had also received a letter from Amethyst that he has yet to respond to. He makes a mental note to remember to do that some time tonight when he has time. Draa tells him not to bother while Tes is still wondering what Amy could possibly want with Ryzan, given they have hardly spoken since that first night for obvious reasons.
After breakfast, Tes puts his contacts back in and changes back into his human form, groaning as he looks at himself in the mirror. stare He and Ryzan then leave the apartment and go their separate ways, both needing a change of clothes.*

Thistle now found herself in her home, finally. She had decided to finally just leave Kits' house and go home. Her pillow no longer smelled like Amy at all, and she was so homesick. She didn't tell anyone she was leaving, though... She just wanted to get home. It was a sudden thought in her mind. She had just grabbed her pillow and walked home.
She went to the back door, used her magic and her horn to unlock the door and open it, and then walked inside. She shut the door behind her, ran to hers and Amy's room, and jumped on the bed. She trilled happily when she smelled Amy all around her. She put the pillow on the bed, hit it, heard Amy's voice, and then laid down. She almost immediately went to sleep.
