Wally_West Fact is, the only reason I'm smiling is because if Johns dares to kill off Linda, Mark Waid will hunt him down and kill him. Ok, out of character for a sec. Johns is trying to kill Linda? And why does Waid have such interest vested in her. I dropped my entire hold list, and havent read Flash in two months, please catch me up.

I am highly afraid Johns wants to kill Linda off, or remove her from being Wally's wife in a misguided attempt to add even more shitty angst to the title.
And, Waid has so much invest in Linda Park and Wally West's relationship because....well, jeez, read his entire run. He basically crafted their entire relationship, from just friends, to dating, to engagement, to the love that spans life and death during his run. Waid proved that you can have a hero with an actual HEALTHY romantic life who is effective and fans want to read. Johns is one of those people who thinks people can't relate to heroes with healthy social lives.

It's great when heroes also have 'Real Lives' outside of saving the world. It's probably why I like Cecilia so much, so I know it can work for other characters.

Walter_West Ok, whew, I thought Linda was going to be an Identity Crisis victim. Previews confirms that her 'return' is in two issues. But I have a feeling it's either as a victim of Zolomon, or to serve divorce papers. Quote: Where has she been at lately anyway? And how much longer is Johns on the book? Isnt he still on Teen Titans and Green Lantern also? She left Wally after the whole Spectre retcon affair. And yes, he is. I hope he gets burnt out soon and leaves. I hate his run.
