An interesting note on McD's salads: The chicken from their fried chicken breast salad was the only 'meat' I have ever seen my dog turn down. This includes roadkill.

Wendy's, for example: you can buy 5 Jr Bacon Cheeseburgers for the cost of one fruit plate (which in and of itself is more expensive than just buying grapes, bananas, and melon and cutting them up yourself).

I see that in supermarkets as well. The ready made salad is always triple the price it would be to buy the ingredients individually.
