I'm a meat-eater anyway, but the whole mentality of 'THIS is what makes me fat, not the fact that I eat too much of it' just bugs the hell out of me. Let people make hogs of themselves if they want. It's cool. Food is yummy. But take the consequences with the benefits, take care of your own damn obesity-related medical expenses, and stop whining and making the people who actually *do* have glandular imbalances look like part of you flabby, weak-willed mob.
I swear, if one more person tries to sue a fast food chain for making them fat, I'm countersuing for their case making the rest of the world a little more stupid.
*blinks, clears his throat, and climbs off of the soapbox*

Agreed Jean-Paul. Society is full of "the world is against me" attitudes and paired with denial and ignorance, even something as obvious as obesity can get (pardon the pun) blown out of proportion.
Chirp.

Wally_West Jean-Paul I swear, if one more person tries to sue a fast food chain for making them fat, I'm countersuing for their case making the rest of the world a little more stupid. New legislation makes this illegal. Them suing for being fat, or my suing them for being stupid?

I totally agree with you Jean-Paul.
The amount of warning labels there are so people can't sue for putting a fork in a toaster and having an allergic reation to a bit of cake. It's just getting a bit too stupid.
Plus the whole McDonald's getting sued by the people they made fat is the stupidest thing I've heard of.

Sorry to jump into the convo, but I think it's ridiculous that someone would sue for something they knew would do damage to them and still eat it. Also, what did they expect would happen if they were consuming McDonalds/Burger King/ or fast food every single day?
They are taking the responsibility of their actions and displacing it onto someone/thing else.
