It had taken a while for they to walk to the Cliff. Ziven had decided that walking would be the best as there would be time before Feldspar could arrive, she explained this as they walked. "My Father is busy with something so only Feldspar will come. It will take time for her to arrive so we should walk. When you meet her, simply keep in mind that she is as intelligent as you and I. She speaks only with her mind and she speaks only with those she approves of. It is truly rare indeed that she may choose to speak to someone on their first meeting but I have explained we are friends and you mean well. She is pleased also to know that you may become rider for the egg you are caring for now." she said as they walked.

Thinking for a moment, she decided to explain about hatchlings from where she came.
"Unlike the dragons of these lands, where we are from, dragons will remain in the egg until they find the one they wish to bond with, the one whom they will deem to be their rider. One cannot force this - if they are to attempt to do so, it is with the darkest, blackest magics which are not allowed for use. There are few who have done this as most in our lands are taught from very young ages to treat dragons with the utmost respect and honor." she finished with a smile, looking to Felix with kind eyes in case he had questions or if she was boring him, he would have the opportunity to change the subject.

"Feldspar... she sounds powerful..., sorry!" he said, he was apologetic for an unknown reason
"back where i came from, a dragon was a being that inspired fear in children, this was so none would leave in attempt to find one, that's my theory, anyway, i was different from everyone else, I questioned the very wisdom of the elders themselves once, only to be scolded by my parents..." he said somewhat nervously

after hearing what she said about hatchlings, he decided to place his trust in her, and in feldspar when she arrived
"well, even so... i could hatch the eggs of your lands without black magic.... I trust you, Ziven, but do not tell anyone else, not even your father! the knowlegde of me and my kin must only be spoken by me, understand?" he sighed and took a deep breath
"I am one of the oldest races known to exsist, known to be one of the first born under the eyes of the gods, I'm an ancient, Ziven, one of the Angelic Ancients, Parts of this tome contain knowlege that an evil demon would destroy a world for, the power to control life in its purest form, pure life itself, thats why i can hatch a dragon without being chosen, i can make it hatch by advancing its life energy, and cause it to develop in a heartbeat, thats why the mother of the egg gave it to me, she knew, and so gave me the egg as she knew something I don't... he spoke as if he was in a trance, he had never done that before, it was a direct demand, almost, for him to tell ziven about himself by the gods
"feldspar will probably know what i am on first sight too, her reaction... i cannot gaurantee it will be good or bad, i don't know what dragons think of ancients...But i also trust her, okay?"

She smiled and listened as he spoke, very interested and curious to know more as he spoke but decided it would be better not to for the moment. As they arrived at the cliff, she lowered herself to one knee, releasing his hand, so she could look up to him properly. "Your secrets are safe with me. She may not know of your race but I believe she, as I, will recognize you are different." she replied softly.

It was then that she looked up, Feldspar was now in their view as she had spoken to Ziven with her mind to indicate such. Rising from the ground, she stood peacefully next to Felix, watching Feldspar as she soared high above, looking more like a bird than a dragon. Soon she circled as she descended from the great heights, finally coming to rest just a few feet from them. Once grounded, the majestic dragon bowed her head to the pair.

Immediately Ziven wandered to Feldspar, gently placing her hands on either side of Feldspars nose, resting her head there for a moment in greeting. Turning, she then watched to see what Felix might do now that she were there with them.

((there was a good reason i chose that pic for my character, the gold eye, its a key feature for ancients to have a metallic eye colour, usually it is gold, although the pic doesn't belong to me, it worked quite well for me))

Felix looked towards the dragon, Feldspar was much bigger than the water dragon he had met earlier, he bowed mannerfully, as if he was in the audience of a queen, or one of his elders, he felt he was being far to formal, "As I'm sure Ziven told you, I'm Felix, it's an honour to meet you, Feldspar" he said, he was still a little nervous, unsure of how she would respond
'Maybe, because she lived around different beings, she may not even know about us... but she'll know for sure that anyone with a golden iris isn't a human...' he thought to himself, he kept his face clear of any emotions that would show he was nervous.

Feldspar flexed her wings with his words, then took a few steps closer to the young man. Lowering her head, she looked at him from head to toe before resting her head on the ground before him, watching him with one sapphire blue eye. "Please tell our friend here that I am pleased to meet him also. And .. I find his eyes interesting." she spoke to Ziven only, as was predicted.

Smiling brightly, she moved as Feldspar moved, wandering far around the dragon so she could remain in eye contact with both Feldspar and Felix. When Feldspar requested her to share a message with him, she nodded her head. "She is pleased to meet you as well and finds your eyes intriguing." she said softly, bobbing her head.

Felix laughed a little, he wasn't used to being commented on, especially about his eyes, but he didn't expect much else
"good, i see you noiced the key feature, all ancients have two different coloured eyes, the green one is my natural eye colour, the gold iris indicates my powers" he said cheerfuly, the choice of words made it clear to him he was in no danger, he then began to explain somethin to them both
"the golden iris is most common for angelic ancients, it indicates we are users of holy magic and healing arts, Demonic ancients can't have a gold eye, while we can't have a pure black one, I'd like to explain what each one means and what powers they give, but it would take about a week to explain them all in one sitting" he sighed, he was glad he was in a more comfortable position then previously, and he began quitely "the main reason I left was to prove the elders wrong about dragons, we know less than humans about Your kind, Feldspar, turst me, defying an elder is never a wise thing to do without proof... he shook his head,
"have you ever been told stories about us?" he asked curiously, he wasn't able to break eye contact, he always looked someone in the eye when he asked a serious question.

Ziven smiled brightly as Feldspar spoke and shared her emotions with her. "Feldspar is happy, excited even to meet you. She has heard whispers of a race called the ancients but nothing more. She hopes to help you prove what is you are seeking."

felix nodded,
"I'm sure you will" he said cheerfully, but then he tilted his head to the right placing his hand on the right side of his face with one of his fingers on top of his temple,
"I suppose that the ancients' stories are dated, things can change alot over such a long period of time"

Feldspar lifted her head and snorted, sparks of flame and small plumes of smoke issued from her nostrils. "How very true, especially considering that he knows little of dragons. Come, child, invite him to rest against me." she said to Ziven as she rolled to her side.

Ziven smiled and nodded to Feldspar and moved closer to her belly after she rolled to her side. Kneeling, she then rested her hands and shoulder on Feldspar's warm under-scales. "Feldspar would like for you to rest upon her belly. I recommend that you do, not everyone may do this. Also, she said that your words hold great truth, especially with the knowledge of how little we know each other." she said softly, being very careful with how clearly she presented Feldspar's message yet saying things in her own words.

he was slightly surprised when feldspar snorted, he though he had said something inappropriate, and as she rolled on her side he became a little puzzled.

After hearing Ziven's words, he was more surprised, but he simply shrugged his shoulders and said "If you insist..." he approched feldspar and sat down, and leaned himself gently on her belly, he knew that for any being the the belly was more sesitive to pressure, but his featherweight body probably wouldn't be felt at all by Feldspar,
"you're right in more ways than one, it isn't just dragons, almost all beings except for the spirits that lived in my homeland are enigmas to a large number of us... and my suspition is that the elders told people false stories to stop them leaving..." he siad calmly, he was nervous about the position he was in, not because he didn't fully trust feldspar, but simply because she was alot bigger than he was, and he couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated, although, he did keep these signs hidden, he was very good at showing only emotions he wanted to, and sometimes none at all.

"Indeed. For now .. relax, young one. Let her warmth be felt. I cannot tell you how many times I have fallen asleep here like this." she said calmly, resting her whole self against Feldspar.

Lord Yawgmoth

Shadowy Lunatic

PostPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2007 1:50 pm

A thick oil like liquid began to creep up on the three creatures, if Ziven's eyes caught it she would recognize the incoming trouble. The creature contained within the liquid wondered if the dragon was able to pick on him. Animalistic creatures like Dragons and half-breeds were more in tune with the energies of objects than any humanoid could ever hope to be and given the amount of energy Yawgmoth's enormous dark power put off. Even though he was suppressing it down to five percent of his maximum the evil aura that followed him was a send off to things who were sensitive to that sort of stuff.

Though it wouldn't much matter if the beast sensed him coming or not, there was little she could do to stop his approach. A puddle of the thick oil like liquid gathered near the three and quickly gathered onto itself in a torrenting mess before it became a solid, leaving the form of Yawgmoth standing before them. His standard black attire draped him from head to toe and his arms laid cross over his chest as his long black tail gently swung behind him in the breeze. "Greetings" Yawgmoth said with a toothy smile that brightly showed his glimmering white teeth, all of which ended in sharp points that looked like they could bite flesh off the bone with the tiniest of efforts if he so desired.

"I'll try..." he replied, and rested his head onto feldspar, after closing his eyes, ziven would probably think he'd fallen asleep himself, but he was just checking up on his kin.

after hearing a strange voice his head turned to face the direction of the voice, his eyes opened and he saw the large man he once saw in the bar, he knew from his aura now that he was some sort of demon, but he thought to himself 'Whoever this demonic being is, he isn't doing anything... hostile... I will only attempt to fight him if he attacks me, feldspar, or ziven, of if his presence disturbs them, that's a balace commandment i mustn't break..." he kept a blank face, and said calmly "Hello..." but shortly after he glared at him with a displeased expression.

Blue eyes did not see Yawgmoth bubbling in to sight but that was not necessary, she knew the feeling of his presence without confirmation of sight or sound. Slowly she opened her eyes and stood, Feldspar would soon do the same, once she knew she could do so without harming Ziven or Felix in the process.

"Indeed, greetings." she replied simply. Tilting her head to Yawgmoth for a moment, she wondered why he would be out here. This thought lasted but a moment. Holding her hand toward Felix, she was clearly offering him assistance to stand if he desired to. This was her way of helping Feldspar to have the needed room to stand. The dragon knew this man was not to be trusted as Felix could. "Out for a walk?" she asked Yawgmoth despite her gaze being directed toward Felix and Feldspar.
