SnowFox's blush spreads a little, and he moves away as much as the nightscout had moved forward.. He's really quite bad at hiding his emotions from his friends, which is starting to seem like a very major weakness at the moment, "I all ready know you're interested in me, I don't need any reminders."

Arrow shrugs and retreats to the side of the hot spring. He reaches into his pants and pulls out his pack of cigarettes. He lights one and closes his eyes this time. He knows that Fox isn't evil though, so he has nothing to fear. He takes a drag and remains silent.

Foxy is tempted to retort something about Arrow hating being ignored,and then promptly ignoring the adept, but decides it's best not to encourage the night scout when he's acting like this. While NightArrow is smoking, he finishes cleaning his hair and washing the dust off his skin, and gets out of the spring, not particularly feeling like soaking with the other man at the moment, quickly donning one of the robes that had appeared via hertasi.

Arrow opens his eyes and looks at Fox. "I suppose I'll see you later." he says. "Since I'm not finished in here." He buts out his cigarette and places it on top of his clothing. He decides that he's not going to chase after the Adept anymore. Now he's decided to wait for Fox to come to him.

Fox nods while doing up the robe, "Yeah, later."
And so life goes back to normal for the adept. Well, more or less. He was doing half days at work, and it was getting to the point where he could spend time with Wind, and unless something that specifically reminded him of the situation came up (or unless he was in a bad mood for some reason) then it didn't particularly bug him.
NightArrow, strangely enough, stopped visiting, although Fox doesn't think it's because the scout is angry or anything. He probably just got put back on full rotation, so he didn't have as much time. Besides, when Foxy thinks about it, more than half the time he usually spent with the scout captain was when he was having a really depressing day or a break down, and that hadn't been happenign recently. In fact, he couldn't think of a single time when he'd went to visit the scout without some kind of concern like that.
The dreams were gettign worse too, obviously being fueled on from that one not-overly-romantic real life kiss.
Oh, and Snowfox FINALLY got his ******** hair cut.
Anyways, today, if he remembered correctly, was Arrow's birthday. Knowing the scout's fondness for tea biscuits that I totally didn't just make up now, he baked up a batch, and then brought them over to the nightscout's house, actually knocking on the door since he hadn't been there in a while and didn't know if Arrow was all ready doing something for his birthday or not.

Arrow in fact, was lying on his couch, watching tv. He was wearing his scouting pants from the night before (y'know the ones that showed off his rear quite nicely...) and no shirt or shoes, or socks. This man does not like being clothed. He wonders if his ignoring of the Adept is affecting Fox much. Maybe Fox liking him was only wishful thinking... Later, He, Wind and Cy (along with Flower and Rayne of Course) were heading over to the Karaoke bar for some birthday fun. He hadn't invited Fox, but he did want to Adept to come.

Fox waits a moment for a reply, but getting none, assumes that Arrow must be out celebrating his birthday, or something... which makes him feel a little sad, The nightscout had invited him to anything, or even really talked to him since that time in the hot spring. Maybe he really had upset him?
Well, since he now thinks that Arrow must be out, and since it used to be habit to walk in without knocking, he decides there's no harm in going in to leave the tea biscuits there. However when he walks in, he finds the mostly-not-dressed scout lying on the couch... and to his own great annoyance he finds himself blushing, and rather dumbstruck, staring for a moment before he realizes it, "Hi Arrow, happy birthday."

Arrow sits up. "Oh, thank you SnowFox." he says, incredibly formally. "I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" Arrow likes being infuriating.

Hearing the words 'snowfox' coming out of the nigthscout's mouth just clinches it that something is totally not right here. Fox loses any kind of sense of normal about the situation, and almost drops the tea biscuits in the process, "Ok, seriously, what the hell is up with you?"

"Whatever are you talking about, SnowFox? Nothing is 'up'. I just thought I'd greet you formally." Suddenly the scent of the tea biscuits reaches Arrow's nose and he throws away all his plans in reckless abandon. His eyes go wide and his mouth drops. "Are those tea biscuits?" he sniffs again. "Cheese tea biscuits?" one more sniff. "They are!" Arrow rushes over and glomps Fox. "Thanks Foxy! I love you!"

Fox takes being glomped rather in stride (you have to expect as much when bringing NightArrow tea biscuits), but holds the box out of the scout's reach, "I don't care if these are your birthday present or not, you don't get any until you tell me what the ******** has been going on with you. I don't even remember the last time you called me SnowFox, if you ever did."

Arrow suddenly realizes he;s taller than Fox, and takes the biscuits. "I've been busy. It's not like you've contacted me either." He says, taking a bite of one. "And I thought since now, I'm a year older, I should start acting a little more mature. I think being a little more on the formal side will help with that." Arrow is totally7 NOT lying, really.

"If you're angry at someone, or don't want them hanging around anymore, you could at least be forward enough to tell them. Enjoy the tea biscuits," Fox turns, his shorter-than-before-but-still-pretty-damn-long hair swirling about behind him, and heads for the door. He can take a hint the totally wrong way.
