ALSO for anyone interested on a completely different note. I found some packs of preggie pops at the pharmacy at my OB's office. They're a dollar sixty five a pack for six pops.
THEY WORK GREAT!
I know we've had them suggested before but I didn't think anyone had tried them. Well I love them. heart

Mara-ani Good Luck for both Lil' Brat. Oh wow, Now I'm curious- I am pretty ignorant of the way the school system works in the USA- what is the difference between college and university? You send kids to college at 16? So it's like senior highschool? Also, who pays for the fees? Are there subsidies, private/public institutions? *is so confused* She is starting the Running Start program. Instead of going to the High School for Junior/Senior years, she'll be at our local community college. She'll earn her HS credits there, and also earn her first two years of college. At 18, she'll transfer to UW (University of Washington) to start her pre-dental program as a Junior. It's a great program, she cuts 8 years of college down to 6 and I don't have to pay for her college while she's still considered a HS student. 3nodding I will have to pay the 2 years at the University, plus the 4 years of Dental college... sweatdrop ~ that child is definitely going to need a job.

Yeah for all of you! I can't wait for Saturday. Thanks Lil Brat. I get to see Will Smith and Gwenn Stephanie. Hmm but I'm thinking I'll hit the refreshment stand during the Backstreet Boys. hehe

Moment of irony. The sippy cups that I found work the best in preventing D from dumping his milk on the floor is the ones I bought at good will. xd

Never mind. I found one that works even better. Avent comes to the rescue again. My grandmother gave me one of their sippy cups. I couldn't shake one drop of milk out of it. heart

Calling all who are knowledgable about the court systems!
All right, here's my case (completely fictional, btw):
My main character, who is nearly 18, and a little girl from the orphanage she was supposed to stay at until she turned 18, ran off to another country to get away from the orphanage. (The little girl is 6).
To the women at the orphanage (and the police), it looks like a kidnapping. They track my main character down and fly her and the little girl (along with some friends of the main character's they met up with in the country; the police think they were involved too) back to their country.
What would happen to them? How would they be punished? And is there a way for them to get off, since they were innocent and it wasn't really a kidnapping?
Help is appreciated! ^_^.

If it is found to be a kidnapping regardless of their actual innocence then the 18 year old can be tried as an adult (depending on the country you'll need to know what the punishment for the different levels of kidnapping). Second...depending on your country you're going to need to know extradition laws. It's possible they've been illegally taken from the country they ran too.

I asked my cousin Jennifer--lawyer--about extradition laws (hadn't even known what they were...) and for information about Swiss laws. (Also hadn't thought to go to Jennifer. Probably because I didn't have her email addy and she lives 1,000 miles away.) She found a really good site with a lot of helpful information. I just wish the people who run the site translated more of the laws into English! xd
