Stephen made quick note that the day was lost, and abandoned his attack efforts on Cyclops. Reaching in to his coat pocket, he pulled out a small ball. Jumping backward, he threw it down and it exploded in a brilliant light, giving Stephen his chance to make a quick exit, stage right. He got outside of the main room and made his way to the exit, sticking to the shadows.

EmeraldFire Theresa never really did like having to depend on others but at this moment she really didnt have a choice. She only watched as her wounds were mended to, then in responce to the question about the crutches Theresa begins to stand up, putting the weight on her good foot. SHe then floatd lightly into the air. "Hmm...I dont know if I will need crutches" She said as she stood in mid air. While talking her voice was indeed loud and booming since her scream was what enabled her flight. SHe then sat back down. "Sorry I really didnt mean to yell. But maby crutches would be a good idea. WHat exactly happened anyway. The last thing I remeber was being tossed a large hole in the ground and falling through tthe stair?" She was rubbing her ears as she returned with the crutches. "thats alright...here you go..." She made a sad face. "Well, most of the students here besides myself, Gen and Penny were taken by Magneto. Gen just said she talked tosomeone there and that they had freed themselves and were in the process of escaping. So far as we can tell, they have everything under control..."

Oniongirl (((OOC: Forgive me, but...is the Bhood packing up and leaving or are we just moving our injured out of harms way?))) OOC: It's up to you... though... now that I think about it... you bastards DID all gang up on Forge when he could just go and do something like this... IC: Out of nowhere, it seemed as though the focused wrath of the X-Men had turned from Magneto, on over to Forge. In retrospect, he knew that they would have had the most reason to hate him over anyone else, though he had been counting on all of them forgetting about that little detail later on. Unfortunately, with the Brotherhood breaking rank, and Xavier putting a rather devastating amount of hurt on his Master, Forge knew that it was time for rather desperate measures.
"Computer!" he shouted as his body was slowly being crushed under the weight of one of Morgan's shields. "Activate emergency protocol omega! Password: Sienna Blaze!"
"Warning: Omega Protocols activated," hummed the ever-calm digital voice of the computer. "Site will become the epicenter of an instability within the planet's electromagnetic field. Prospective damage will be equivalent to 3.245 times the blast that destroyed Hiroshima. Proceed?"
"YES! AND GATE!" shouted Forge, the pain becomming near-unbearable. In an instant, a blue teleportation door opened for himself, along with Magneto... transporting them both to parts unknown.
Most of the staff of the Seminary knew this drill. Those with sufficient clearance used the extended power of the Gate system to teleport them safely a few thousand miles away back to their hometowns. Others made use of the jets in the hangar bay, which emptied out almsot as soon as the warning was announced. Still others simply bribed Professor Porter to teleport them more comfortably to whatever location they wished, right up until the time he decided it was best for him to leave as well.
Unfortunately, the Brotherhood had arrived too recently to the Seminary in order to know these drills or be given access to the Gates. As for the X-Men, it was doubtful that most any of them even knew where they were, much less how to escape.
"Total time remaining is fifteen minutes. Immediate evacuation is reccommended," chimed the computer.OOC: *Laughs evilly*

"You've got to be joking?!" Markus exclaimed as the computer almost cheerfully told him that they were now at ground zero for the next big bang. "This is nuts...what suicidle maniac activated the self destruct sequence..." He had no clue as to the procedures....but he knew where the jet hangers were.

Pietro heard the alarm, and his mind simply failed to access anything resembling logic. He knew he was injured, he knew that he was arm-in-arm with his sister and a friend, he knew that the X-Men had a jet that could probably travel fast enough to get here in time if they really pushed it, and if he really tried hard to remember, would have realized that one member of the X-Men might have been able to contain the blast while another might have been able to teleport them all away easily. Unfortunately though, that side of Pietro''s mind was silent... instead, his thoughts were occupied by a single word.
"Run."
The speed with which Pietro ran was so intense that even he was unable to tell clearly which way they were headed or what they were running through. One of Magneto''s scientists had devised early on that Pietro must have somehow generated accellerated resistance to energy while running, to overcome drag and prevent small objects from becomming deadly bullets to him. Luckily, it appeared as though this field extended to those in his arms, though they were likely having difficulty breathing for the moments that Pietro was in transit. They were fortunate that he had only run for about two full minutes... though in that time, Pietro had run fully from the cold of the Seminary straight into upstate New York, not 100 miles from home.
Unfortunately, this was not a record Pietro should have gone for. He may have broken his speed record by a huge margin, but running that fast would have been devastating even in perfect health. As it was, Pietro simply stopped... dropping the confused Sasha and Wanda at his side as his entire body seemed to stiffen for a moment.
"Damn I''m good..." he said with a cautious chuckle before his armor began to crack, and break off from his skin. If Wanda or Sasha were watching, they would notice with horror that as the armor from his right arm flaked off, there was little more than blackened ash and bone underneath. That arm would never be useable again.
And with that, Pietro finally grew limp, and passed out on the ground. He wasn''t breathing.

Wanda wasn't satisfied with Sasha's answer. Specially after what Pietro tried to tell her. A name beginning by "Son". It didn't ring a bell to Wanda. For now. She opened her mouth to ask Freya but the alarms went off and the Scarlet Witch watched in horror her father being teleported away from her.
"NO!" she shouted. "YOU b*****d! YOU CAN'T VANISH ON ME!
The blond sighed at the alarm. That was a careless move of her. She should have told Efreet to take care of the main computer but the fire spirit melt anything but that, thinking it might save their lives. So now, they were on a deadly countdown.
While others started to panic, she remained very calm. She already had an ace up her sleeve but if she wanted to save everyone, she'll need to get their attention. She breathed slowly and shouted to everyone:
"If you want to be save from this, gather all your members here! This is going to be a one way trip and I cannot go back to get those who are left behind!"
She looked at Wanda. She knew the Scarlet Witch would understand that look.
Wanda was more than angered but she nodded to Freya and ran after Sasha and Pietro. She had to save them. And she hoped Freya would save everyone too because she wanted the attacker of Pietro to die at HER hand alone.
She quickly catched up with them and grabbed Sasha's shoulder. "I wasn't done with---" Before she could finish her sentence, Pietro grabbed her and Sasha and ran. When she felt the ground, she looked up at her brother and saw the horrible condition of his arm. He said something before crashing on the ground, not breathing.
Wanda's heart stopped. Pietro was looking like a dead person. Dead? No. He can't die!
"That stupid idiot is not going to die on me! I will not allow it!"
And before she knew what she was doing, she turned Pietro on his back and started CPR.
Meanwhile, Freya was told by a spirit that Wanda and Pietro left the building. She sighed and looked at the professor.
"Well, professor, if you want to use my portal to get out of here, you and your students are welcome."
On that, she fused with a spirit and opened a portal to the Institute.

Victoria's dark eyes widen in horror as everything, which was allready pretty bad, got worse. Her breath caught itself in her throat as two "doors" of pure light opened on the other side of the room and The Master of Magnitism and another man, dissapeared into nothing. She snapped her head back to Jamie, to ask what was happening, when an eeriely pleasant voice told her the unpleasent truth.
Total time remaining is fifteen minutes. Immediate evacuation is reccommended.
Before she knew it, Pietro had allready dissapeared along with his sister and Sasha, leaving herself, the X-men and a few other Brotherhood members to their doom. Her breath returned witha jolt as she realised so harshly that this was it. It would be the end of their meager lives unless there was a miracle. Determinded not to die like a ******** lab rat, she helped Jamie's weak body up, and with half of his weight on her, she headed for the door, praying for a miracle along the way.

Regina grabbed whomever was nearest to her and ordered the rest of the xmen out through Freya's portal. She moved through the shadows to return to the mansion, careful of her cargo. By chance, she arrived right next to Penny and Gen. She failed to notice the bit of shrapnel imbedded in her hip though, until darkness began to overtake her senses. "I feel funny..." she said softly, collapsing next to Penny.
Gen cried out and went to look for Rachel and Theresa, the one that had been left behind.

((Was actually going to head in that direction but something came up...on my way now!))
He was about to head to the hangers when the moral side of him got the better of him. He turned around and headed back to seminar at a dead run. If he counted right he had just under ten minutes to get there. How to get them all out was another question in itself. However upon arriving back there he found that it was quiet unessissary as one of them had opened a portle of sorts leading out of here. He felt a little odd about it so he took a moment before he entered to alter his appearence and outfit so he looked like a maintence worker. "Wait!" He called at them running in. "Mind if I come with you? Please! I have a family down in New Castle Delaware that I'd like to live to see!" It wasn't a lie at all, he did indeed have family down there...

Victoria had almost reached the door when another blinding light caught her attention. Throwing caution to the wind, she turned around and watched as yet another portal open up in the corner. Apparently not as dumb as they looked, the X-geeks began filing through the portal and in turn, dissapearing from the room completely. Knowing that this was the "miracle" she was waiting for, the dark hair teen half dragged Jamie and stepped through the portal...and found to her extreme displeaure that she was back at the Xavier mansion.

Freya rolled her eyes to the fake maintenance worker. "Listen boy," she started to tell him, "if you want to make me believe your little disguise, you will have to work better to fool the spirits around you. Now go in and be yourself."
The boy denied her statements but ran in anyway. Then Victoria came, looking confused and dragging a Jamie in pain. She grinned at her.
"You're lucky I won't hold grudge for that unloyal volleyball match back on the beach, little girl. At least, not for now. Now get it before I decide to "forget" you here with your friend."
Of course, Freya wasn't serious about her little threat. She was just making fun of the girl. For her, any time is a good time to joke. She saw the girl looking at her with fear and confusion and just smiled at her kindly. "Hurry in. You're the last one."
OOC: Firecraq, don't mind Freya. She just happens to know lots of thing about people because she hears the dead all the time. smile

OOC: This is the exit post for Penance and Jacen. I hope it fits with continuity somewhat.
IC:
When the chaos started to die down in the Infirmary, Penance's body finally woke up out of its self induced coma. Her wounds had been life threatening for the umpteenth time while being at the Institute. The most bloody of the wounds weren't physical, they were psychological. And they would take a long time to heal. Forge's betrayal did unreparable damage on her psyche.
She saw that Regina was being attended too and quickly, and quietly moved from the Infirmary. She already heard what happened... and sadly, she was too bitter to want to care. The fight between good and evil left a bad taste in her mouth and a bullet wound through her back that was going to haunt her for awhile.
"I knew I'd find you here," She entered Jacen's bedroom and found him in the solitude. He was bandaged up himself. And then the night passed by them...
They lay there together under the sheets with the light of the new moon pouring through the window. Bodies completely entwined, skin against skin, not wanting to let go for some deep rooted fear that something else would happen. Penance smelt the sweat off of his skin and tasted it on her lips. He kissed the bare skin on her back and whispered something in her ear. Something about having the best night of his life. Not that she could disagree.
She stared out the window and thought about everything that had transpired over the last months... and she rolled onto her other side, running her fingers up his side and watching him shiver slightly. He kissed her and pulled her close to him again, "Are you okay, you haven't said much? No regrets right?"
"None," She smiled, "When Forge left me dying on the floor... there was only one thought on my mind. You, you're the one thing that makes me happy in this world. Not the swords, not the fighting, not the missions."
"I can't argue with that," He brushed the hair out of her face and studied her eyes, the light from outside reflecting off her.
"What if I said, let's leave all this behind right now. Let's just go. No more superheros and supervillains. No more fighting, being left for dead. Just me and you and the road ahead of us," She had a pang of desperateness in her voice like she was going to pop if she remained at the Institute too long.
"I thought all the craziness is what you wanted," He said before answered her question.
She shook her head, "How do I know if I really want something if that's all I've ever known."
"Well, then, I'd ask where the keys are," He leaned into her and kissed her as she moved her hand back to the end table and pulled a set of keys out of her drawer. He laughed and they shared more intimate moments with each other before they really did leave the Institute.
Penance left two notes on a desk. One for Regina and Xavier and the other for their team... Regina, Charles... You have to understand that I wasn't planning on staying forever. In between being betrayed, shot, and stabbed, I decided I need to get away for awhile... to find me. I'll be back, don't worry. I won't be a ghost in your memory. - Evelyn. To the team she wrote, X-Men... keep doing what you do best. Fight the good fight and take care of each other. I will see you again. You all have been good to me and I won't forget that.
"Where are we going?" Jacen asked jumping into the passenger seat of the car.
"I always wanted to see the rocky mountains," Penance pulled the car out of the garage.
"Let's go then," He put his hand on her knee as they left the Institute for adventures unknown. Just them and the road ahead.

Jamie was panting he was using all of his energy to help himself up, even though Victoria did all the work. He smiled at her when he was up and one arm was on his shoulder balancing hismelf out. He was limping to the portal with one leg up his slightly broken one. She was trying to gte into that portal as fast as she could, but a little to fast fro Jamie, he was being tugged by her nearly. But he was very grateful, if it wasn't for her he would still be laying on the ground. Before they stepped into the portal, Jamie smiled at her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. He then was tugged into the portal and appeared at Xavier's Mansion.
"Why are we here?" He said in a soft voice.

Cyclops then appeared before Penny and Jacen. "Where's Sonya?"
Sonya awoke from laying on the ground under Jean's orders. When she looked around, no one was there. "Where is everyone?" she asked. She saw the x-jet take off and the rest of the brotherhood make for the portals. Sonya ran towards one but it disappeared. "Miss Penny! Mr. Porter! Jaime! Racheal!" she yelled, "SASHA!!!" Detdination complete in 15 seconds. Sonya's eyes widened. Inside of running she fell to her knees on the floor. They forgot me, she thought. 10 seconds. Tears ran down her cheeks. They all left me. Even Professor 8 seconds. No one cares about me. No one cares that I'm about to die 5 seconds. Her eyes then turned cold. "If they don't care, then so be it." 3....2...1 Then a big explosion shot out and destroyed the room.
