{Kyle : Hawaii : Beach}
Kyle stopped immediately on the path when he heard Alan's voice. He looked around frantically for a couple of seconds before he realized where the voice had come from. The charm. He'd completely forgotten about it and had been running about like an idiot. Way to go Kyle. You could have still been at the beach. Still, another, much smaller part, argued that he was closer if Alan needed his help now.
Yeah Alan, it's me. Kinda...forgot about the charms just now. I was lying on the beach and I felt a vibration through the ground and thought you might have been in trouble because you weren't here..... Kyle trailed off awkwardly at that. Damn battles everywhere had made him a bit too jumpy. For all he knew, Alan had just been relaxing with the villagers. So...yeahhhh, I kinda am a bit too jumpy right now. All these battles are making me jumpy. You're probably just hanging out with the villagers now. Unless you were involved with that tremor type thing I felt just now. He finished, sounding a bit frazzled.

[Alan :: Hawaii, Clearing]
"Oh, um, hang on a second," Alan said, gesturing at the charm. "Kyle's trying to talk to me."
Yeah, we were in a fight just now. That was probably the aftershocks from . . . our enemy's last attack. We won, I guess, though he managed to get away and Cloud's injured. I'm seeing to that, though, so we're basically fine.
Alan nodded. "Sorry about that." By now, Alan had cast Regen on Cloud as well, and had laid him out in a more comfortable looking position. He was sitting beside the warrior with his hands placed on Cloud's chest, casting and recasting the spell. He would do this until Cloud opened his eyes, or at least appeared to be stable. His own injuries were minor. He could wait until Cloud had recovered to heal himself.
He was doing his best to keep a straight face (under the circumstances, grinning would be rude), but Alan was deriving a surprisingly large degree of pleasure from this. Healing really felt good. When he did it, Alan actually felt like he was helping. More than any of the other powers he had been granted - more than his magic or his new sight or his dominion over fire - it was the power to heal for which he felt most grateful.

{Leon : Village Outskirts : Clearing}
Leon continued to try to get himself up when he heard Alan approach him. As the young man casted a regen spell on him and it began to take effect, Leon was finally able to get back to his feet.
"He called himself, Genesis. Just another enemy we're going to have to deal with." He said with a sigh as he continued to recover.
He began to look for Cloud and saw the flash of metal behind the rock where Genesis had been before the fight even began. He followed the mage over to the buster wielder and saw that he was unconscious. He helped Alan get him into a more comfortable position and then watch yet again as he used the same spell repeatedly.
"You're Alan right?" He asked, still not having fully learned all of their companion's names, "Thanks for the help."

[Alan :: Clearing]
"Yeah," Alan said. "No problem. Like I said, your fight is mine." Alan looked up from healing for a second, brushing his hair away from his eyes. "But we certainly seem to have a lot of enemies, don't we?"
Alan frowned deeply. "I can't shake the feeling that we're being manipulated here. Like, we keep running and running along the most obvious tracks. We don't even seem to know how to change course if we wanted to. Sometimes it feels like we're just running head-on into disaster. Does it feel that way to you, Squall? Am I just being paranoid?" Alan remained blissfully unaware that he had called Leon by the wrong name as he shook his head and went back to tending to Cloud.

{Leon : Village Clearing : Outskirts}
Leon sat against the rock as Alan continued to work on Cloud, listening intently to what the mage was thinking. He wasn't looking at either of them, just off into the distance. His thoughts were very rational, unlike some of the other Earthlings. Leon could tell that Alan had his head on straight, and was analyzing and considering possibilities.
"How do you know that name...?" He asked, referencing Alan calling him Squall before the Gunblader could just dismiss the thought. "I guess it's not a big deal, just call me Leon." He said, not caring to hear the answer, not caring to open old wounds from his past.
"Even if you are just being paranoid, it's not always a bad thing. The Darkness is full of enemies of the Light. Our objective and the path it leads us along, as well as who we are, do make our tracks obvious. Nothing else we can do though if we want to keep our trail." He replied, his determination toward their cause not wavering.
The fight with Genesis had, in his mind, driven the point home. Despite how obvious, and sometimes oblivious the Earthlings were, they were necessary to the success of their quest. His attention then turned to the still unconscious Cloud as Alan continued to heal him.
'You've got some explaining to do.'

[John.:Hawaii:.Tide]
"Ohhhhh ho ho ho HO my dear. Bust my kneecaps will ya? Well, threatening to bust ma kneecaps is going to give you a one-way toooooo..." John merrily said as Amy resisted in vain. "AMERICA WATER!"
With the word "water" John grabbed Amy with both of his arms and, knee deep in the water, turned around and flung Amy over his head backwards into the ocean. His dress sphere instantly turned to the proper swim attire and he quickly turned around to see his work... also, he began to admire his beach body.
Yay for upper body workouts! I must have gained at least fifteen pounds... hm... fun
A harmless wind strike hit the sand, and John was surprised to see that it came from Azrael... who was just kind of sitting there harmlessly.
I guess replicas need a break too... oh well.

((I rarely post in a half-awake and slightly delirious state of mind. I'm doing so now. Cloud post tomorrow, when I'm rested [I don't like to mess Cloud up >o>]))
[Amy : Beach]
Amy's protests got louder the closer to the ocean she was carried. She actually made an honest attempt to escape, but amidst helpless laughter, getting away was a fruitless endeavor. The coldness of the ocean was like a slap to her, and the salt water was something she'd never get used to. She floundered around with and open mouth and wide eyes, which she quickly learned was foolish, as the salt water didn't sit well in either place.
The dressphere had changed into a simple one piece swim suit, entirely black except for a small unicorn logo near one strap. She stood up as well as she could, struggling as she got used to the pull and push of the ocean, and tried to look menacing (which she utterly failed at) while glaring at John. "Ohhhh, I'm gonna shoot you." A wave pushed her down.
She heard Azrael's voice in a state of disbelief, and saw he was lying a small distance along the shore. It would have been easy to miss him when first they arrived.
Ridiculously emboldened by the shock of the ocean, Amy trudged up to Azrael, casting a tiny shadow over his face. "What the hell are you doing here?" she asked, still dripping and rubbing the salt water away from her eyes.

{Kyle : Hawaii : Path}
Do you want any help after the battle? Or should I just head back to the beach? He asked through the charm, not really sure where they were, even if they did need help. If Alan could hear him shouting, he would presumably be close by, but maybe his voice just carried.
Deciding to see if he could find them, he sparked a bit of magic into the ground, crouched down and slowly rose up on a pillar of earth. It was party terrifying being rather high in the sky with nothing to hold onto except the ground beneath him, but it was also pretty exciting. And the view was amazing. Especially the ocean view. Standing up from his crouched state, he just looked out over the ocean, staring into the horizon. A gust of wind sent him crouching down and that's when he noticed Alan, Leon and Cloud. They weren't terribly far away from him.
Slowly lowering himself back to the ground, he waited on Alan's response. It had seemed like he'd been busy, so he wasn't expecting an immediate response.

[Cloud : Hawaii]
"Stop." Cloud had regained consciousness. With an effort, he pushed Alan's hands away from him; he breathed easier once direct contact had been broken.
He felt like his chest was on fire. The wounds and bruises he had received began to disappear, and Cloud was able to sit up without help. He seemed preoccupied, and instead of thanking Alan, as he should have done, his mind was clearly still on the fight. "Who was that guy?" The question wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.

Enji_Chou [Kyla: Narnia > Angel Grove] When their powers combined... ...they became Captain Planet! *shot* Yeah, apparently me posting within 48 hours of a nice mental breakdown is a bad idea. razz I hate my job~{Bobbi, Demyx .:. Hawaii .:. Beach} Bobbi was a little startled when Dani shouted her name and ran up to her. They'd only met, what, a couple hours ago, give or take? She wasn't used to enthusiastic greetings after so little time knowing someone, it was kind of... nice? Odd? OMGWTFBBQ-ish? Eh, whatever. When Dani asked if she wanted to go for a swim, the Archer turned to look out at the ocean. Never been in the ocean, she reminded herself, biting her lip again. She had to laugh out loud when one of the guys threw one of the girls into the ocean. Jon and Amy, she thought. Eventually she'd get their names right. "Not if that's the kind of treatment I get for being a water baby," she said, still watching the duo. That was when she caught the tail edge of a blast of sand, and had to spit some out of her mouth. She watched Amy trounce up to the other person on the beach, and her immediate reaction was kind of an odd one. "Joe?" she asked out loud, loud enough for the other to hear her. She couldn't quite keep the excitement out of her voice, seeing someone else who had been through the same messes she had after the group split. But that didn't seem right... Demyx was assaulted by sand within moments of his offer. And he knew exactly which one of the brats sent it his way. Naturally, Demyx retorted with a water spout, but Kyle had already moved. Apparently he was going to check on Cloud, Leon, and Alan.
"Hey bring back some drinks an--awww, never mind," he called to Kyle's receding back. "Just ditch the beach party, see if I care."
Demyx crossed his arm and turned around to pout, but spotted Jon throwing Amy into the ocean. He admired Amy's dress sphere's choice of swimsuit--modest, but still oh so cute--and looked around to see if any of the other girls warranted the same treatment.
His eyes lighted on Kyla, who seemed torn between the surf and following Kyle. Demyx decided to help make up her mind.
"Your turn!" he shouted, scooping Kyla up bridal-style and grinning hugely. "No skipping out on beach parties, young lady!"

[Azrael: Hawaii: Beach]
The replica lazily peeked an eye open at the girl 'towering' over him. How cute, she thought she was menacing.
"Well, strangely enough, I'm not always about destruction and mayhem. Sometimes, a man's gotta relax. And careful. You almost stepped on one of my pets." A snake near Amy hissed from it's coiled spot before moving and recoiling back in the sun. It probably would've struck if Azrael wanted to actually fight, but he was in no mood for it at the moment. "Now, if you don't mind, go away. You're blocking my sun. Oh and try to be quiet...well, there goes that idea."
Apparently, someone thought he was his...original didn't sound right to him. What WAS Joe to him? With a small chuckle, the replica called back to the archer girl, for that was all he could remember of her. "Sorry, 'Dad' ain't here. Don't know where he'd be, don't really care. I moved out for a reason, you know?" Closing his eyes, the male reached out, hand stroking Bal-Hur's bare back, frowning when realizing Bal had shifted darkness to cover himself in a swimsuit like Az's. Not that Azrael didn't know about it. He just didn't want to hear everyone sputtering over Bal's nudity...or staring for too long. Azrael didn't share well, after all. Didn't mean he didn't like not having easy access. to more bare skin.
"You know, gunner girl, you might've shot me in the head, but you're kinda cute. You could always join us, squeeze right in the middle. Make a nice gunner sandwich. What d'ya say?" If she joined, great! He could make her uncomfortable. If not, well at least she'd leave.

Sayrike::The Black Pearl::Lower Decks She had been focusing so hard on what Kyle had been saying (since it was a little hard to hear him from across the space between them) that Sayrike nearly jumped in surprise at Dawn's outburst. She stared silently at the other girl, her face pressed into a worried expression, though she dropped it as soon as she realized that, without being able to see her eyes, Dawn might mistake the look for something else. (Sayrike was going to have to remember the facial constraints of a mask.) Once again she was thankful that she didn't flinch very easily at surprises or noises because, well, that'd give the group one more reason to tease her in addition to getting caught on the rattlines and flipping over the side of the ship. Not that they seemed like the teasing sort...out of most of what she had seen so far, they appeared to be a fairly somber bunch. True, it had only been 6 days since this...adventure started, but...well, maybe they hadn't spent those 6 days making peace with matters like she had. (Not like there was a lot else to think about when a majority of that time was spent alone, starving. It was kind of hard not to think about life, death, and loss in situations like that.) Tensions would be understandably increased, and their relations with family and friends would be different than hers. Maybe that's what this was---somewhere, internally, the others were still grieving. Trying to think things over with a different perspective, Sayrike's patience returned and she didn't feel so stressed herself, no longer feeling the urge to walk back out to the main deck. But she couldn't help but look sadly at Dawn's back as the tessen-wielder retreated elsewhere. Sayrike wanted to follow, but it was probably time to give Dawn some peace to sort things out. Noelle's comment brought Sayrike back to the current conversation. "Ah, well..." she began before switching over to the Trinity Charm to send her thoughts to everyone in the room. "What if Kyle needed help, or he observed something important, but there was no one around? We were thinking that maybe Kyle could begin or end his sentences with a codeword, so we'd know that it's him. There's little chance of Ajora guessing what word we choose, though Kyle's defaulted to 'roger roger' at the end of his sentence. Of course I'm not going to mention this stuff outside of the Charms, just in case someone overhears and tells Ajora or another Replica." Speaking aloud again, Sayrike continued, "Sorry to those of you who don't have Trinity Charms, I was just making mention of a suggestion to go around the problem."

[ Kyle ; Sora : Caribbean : Pearl's Lower Decks ]
"But... how did Ajora get through the charms to begin with?" Sora asked, looking around, a mixture of confusion and worry yet again on his face. Confusion seemed to be a dominant fixture on the Keyblade Master, despite his years of experience.
"Probably went poking through James' brain, I guess," Kyle responded dully, frowning. Things just kept piling up against them, much to his annoyance. And depression, sure, but he was more frustrated than depressed by this point, with Dawn snapping at him bringing his blood to a boil. He could really go for that Training Car about now.
"And Sayrike's got a point. It'd be a lot better if you picked a word- anything I pick, he's likely to catch on to pretty fast," he explained, only to realize something. "Oh, and to point out the obvious, he'll only catch something if you think of James when you send it. So if you just think of one person- even myself- he won't get it. It's really only a problem if it's me sending."

[[Louis : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl - Below Deck]]
Louis stared at Dawn, surprised at he sudden outburst but something deep inside him stirred at the exact same time, sending shivers up his spine, causing his eyes to narrow then soften slightly as Kyle spoke and pulled his attention away. When the conversation changed course, the arcanist spoke up again in reply to Kyle and Sayrike, "On the topic of the trinity charms, unfortunately for those of us who don't have them, we're left out of the loop if you chose to convey anything important through them." Louis scratched the back of his head showing obvious irritation of being left out of something in the conversation, "This doesn't have to be discussed now, but perhaps it would be a good thing to consider that anyone who doesn't have a trinity charm, be paired up with someone who does at all times so everyone can stay informed of any changes in plans or important messages."

[Quistis :: Caribbean Sea :: Black Pearl]
Everyone had begun talking, and Quistis couldn't help but sigh. Things just weren't looking good. This Ajora character was really becoming a pain, getting onto the Trinity Charms and listening in...Although she still wasn't a hundred percent sure on what the Trinity Charms were. She wanted to ask, but was cut off by one of the girls and her random outburst. The Blue mage watched the girl head above deck before following after.
"...You okay, miss...?" She asked, pausing for a moment so she could get the girl (Dawn)'s name. She still didn't know everyone yet, but she'd learn more about these people. After all, they would lead her to Leon, and that would make her life a lot easier than looking for him by herself.
