You rarely give yourself the chance to be "defeated," few people can stomach combating someone whom thinks throwing entire galaxies at their foes is in anyway legitimate for a competition of this ilk. You've not been "defeated" in combat because you're a lengthy, often self-defeating version of a 10 year old nubcake who doesn't understand why throwing atomic bombs at their foes is taboo.

You do, I've never seen an IC brief post of yours in my life, and I'm all for detail, length on either end of the spectrum- but you seem to've missed the fact size 9, size 8 are taboo and more importantly, that paragraphs are cool. They're so cool, dare I say they're gangster. Not to mention, length shouldn't be so you can "hide" details and important events, length should be there to express them more clearly.

If your whole strategy is to confuse your opponent not IC but OOC, you're not only a terrible writer, you're a Communist circa 1973.

Down to the detail. I assume you mean "down to the minor detail," but yes, the problem with that is you fail to keep your details in check 9x/10 and it usually ends up being a congested mess.

For the record, my initial post was complete and utter sarcastic bullshit. No harm was meant, you're the one that (and I half-suspect you might be trolling the whole way to the farm) took it to the hostile "I AM A PRO" level. Nope. I play for keeps. Someone kills Omi, someone kills Saight, someone kills the taoist mage'o'mine, they're dead and they stay dead unless something unforeseen happens. And I've developed two of these characters since I was a young child - I've got an "attachment" to them.

Omi especially, I've put him in death's way a variety of times if it went towards what I thought could be victory. I'd not like if he died, at all, but if someone managed it? I'd know that's just how the dice roll, and I do my best to prevent that from happening legitimately. I don't use it as an excuse to do some fufu-bullshit with planar magic and galaxies, not even against folks I don't like.

Perhaps you should focus on making yourself feel more like you're top of your game than a "shadow" of what you once were? I know that'd be my first priority, and I know that ain't the easiest, ever. But, trying would sure beat just admitting to it halfheartedly.



I actually agree with you. I've never cared for judges. Yet? I think they're vital, because two roleplayers picture a fight entirely different in their heads more often than not, and changes in perspective lead to changes in how they believe events occurred- you need an "empirical" version of events, and judges make that happen.

They're a necessary "evil," in that regard.
